00:00Well, yesterday, the San Francisco Giants rose up.
00:02And by the way, great pitching performance out of Verlander.
00:04Worked some in and out of magic in some of those first five innings.
00:07We ended up going seven innings, 107 pitches for a man in his 40s
00:12in a 5-1 victory in extra innings that saw this game go to extras at 0-0.
00:18The Giants explode for five runs in the 11th inning
00:21and take care of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
00:24Well, listen, as good as Verlander was, Brendan Fott was even better.
00:28He went nine innings, gave up one hit, struck out seven and only walked one
00:34and could not get the wind, which is just mind-numbing there
00:38that a guy goes, nine innings, only gives up one hit,
00:42and his team couldn't score him any runs.
00:44So quite the pitcher's battle I did not see coming yesterday.
00:48I thought we might get some runs, but kudos to both of those guys for,
00:53you know, that felt like playoff baseball,
00:55two teams battling for their playoff lives with two weeks remaining in the season.
00:59Donnie, that is exactly the kind of atmosphere Major League Baseball wants.
