00:24Gold has climbed from $2,600 at the start of the year
00:28to $3,600, marking record highs.
00:37The thing right now is gold prices are so high,
00:41I'm pissed off that we're not in a position to take advantage of it.
00:45We're way too close to the end of the season.
00:47We're going for $1,800, and it seems like a fantasy at the moment.
00:51Rick is in an all-too-familiar place.
00:54After months with no sluicing, he's burning through the little cash he has left.
01:00But now, with just four weeks to go, he's back on pay dirt
01:05and on the precipice of getting back on the gold.
01:09I'm nervous.
01:10We need to pay the bills and how little time we have left, and I'm feeling it.
01:15I still think we can make it.
01:16I know we can make it.
01:17We're just going to have to work harder than we ever have.
01:20Seven weeks ago, Rick gambled a million dollars
01:24to open up the massive Valhalla cut.
01:27We're not just risking our gold bonuses or your gold,
01:30but it could be the end of the company as well.
01:33After removing 150 feet of overburden, Rick hit a dead end.
01:40It was just still pure clay.
01:41What do you mean?
01:42No pay.
01:44And other miners are smelling blood in the water.
01:48Put a prize on the table.
01:51Sell the place.
01:52I'll buy it from you.
01:59The vultures are circling, but not willing to give up yet.
02:03We are about to run some good ground out of Vegas Valley.
02:06I mean, we had huge numbers out of that last year, so we're still in it.
02:11Last week, Rick pivoted back to his old Vegas Valley cut.
02:17The 200-foot-deep pit is the richest ground Rick's ever mined.
02:22It saved his season before,
02:24and Rick believes it could deliver 350 ounces a week.
02:29You know, the boys are going to fire at the wash plant today.
02:32That's going to be great to actually see a bunch of yardage
02:34getting through here and actually seeing some gold.
02:38At the bottom of the cut, operator Bailey Carton
02:42loads the gold-rich pay dirt into rock trucks
02:45to haul to the stockpile next to wash plant Monster Red.
02:50Hopefully, the rest of the pay in the Vegas Valley
02:53is going to really help us out a lot.
02:57It is exciting.
02:58We have a pretty decent stockpile.
03:01I think it's balls to the wall, full capacity.
03:05I can't wait to get Monster Red up and running
03:07so we can get some pay washed through the plant
03:10and get some gold.
03:13We ain't getting no gold bonus if we ain't washing any dirt.
03:33Oh, yeah.
03:34That'll get us started.
03:38It's a pretty good-sized pile.
03:39It's not bad.
03:41Well, it's been a long time coming.
03:42We haven't pulled any gold in a while.
03:44No, I forgot what this plant does.
03:47I know you guys are chomping at the bit
03:48to get this thing running.
03:49Did we get some gold today?
03:51Yeah.
03:51Great.
03:55It's been almost two months here
03:56since we've gotten any gold
03:57and seen this plant running any of that s**t.
03:58So, yeah, it's about time.
04:01We need it.
04:02All the gold we found this spring
04:04is just about s**t well.
04:04It is gone.
04:05So it's like we're starting over from scratch.
04:11Get your bucket ready?
04:12Yep.
04:13Yeah!
04:14We're firing it up.
04:16See how she's doing.
04:26I mean, it feels great.
04:28Finally, start running the plant here.
04:31So it's the first bucket going in.
04:49It's been how many months
04:50since we've seen this thing run?
04:51So it's kind of like relearning it again.
04:54Good to see what we need to.
04:56If we're going to come remotely,
04:57close to 1,800 ounces.
04:58But as of right now,
05:00this is cause to celebrate.
05:04So it's good to me.
05:06I'm happy.
05:07The big thing is we're getting gold right now.
05:08F**k yeah, that's done.
05:10F**k.
05:10Right.
05:17Plants running, boys.
05:18We're on the gold.
05:23That's going to be great.
05:24Actually seeing some gold,
05:26you know, hopefully start adding those numbers up.
05:29That'd be awesome.
05:30I've seen gold prices so high.
05:35Finally, we're going to get some gold.
05:38It's fricking awesome.
05:45We need the gold.
05:47Money's gone out the door
05:48and not a whole lot's come in.
05:50We definitely needed it.
05:51And for my stress, I needed it.
05:53So it feels good.
05:54I know the guys are happy.
05:55It's been stressing them out too.
05:57So today's a good day.
06:17With gold prices where they're at,
06:19it's hit a whole bunch of record highs
06:21and who knows how long these prices will last.
06:24We're just shy of 10,000 ounces.
06:27It's just like a hell of a year to be mining gold.
06:3231-year-old Parker Schnabel
06:34is hell-bent on a record-breaking season.
06:38His well-oiled operation has already pulled in
06:41over $30 million worth of gold.
06:45Now, he's within striking distance
06:48of his 10,000-ounce gold.
06:52We've got a lot of ground to get through still,
06:54and the name of the game
06:56is just keeping these wash plants running.
06:58We have four plants,
06:59and it's just sluice, sluice, sluice.
07:08Hi.
07:09Have you seen the price of gold?
07:11Yeah, it's pretty crazy, eh?
07:13Do you think it's going to stay on that trend?
07:15No.
07:15What goes up must come down.
07:17Yeah, definitely, man.
07:18Like, I know you've had an insane season
07:20and you've done an amazing job,
07:23but I don't need you to worry about much else
07:25other than just trying to keep those plants running.
07:27Okay.
07:27Thanks, Tyson.
07:29See ya.
07:33This season,
07:35Parker's tasked foreman Tyson Lee
07:38with overseeing three wash plants,
07:41the Golden Goose and Big Red in the Golden Mile
07:45and wash plant Bob in the bridge cut.
07:47It's that time of year
07:49when people are getting tired,
07:52equipment's getting tired,
07:53and we just have to get through this final push.
07:59We need to try and fight this out,
08:02get these cuts mined out.
08:03We still have a lot of sluicing to do this year,
08:06and it looks like our days might already be numbered.
08:15I already love that sound.
08:20Bob's mad.
08:30Tyson got a copy, Tyson.
08:33Yeah, go ahead.
08:34We've got a major issue with Bob's shaker deck here.
08:37Wondering if you'd be able to stop by him.
08:38That does not sound good.
08:40I'm on my way.
08:43This is the last thing we need.
08:49Oh, s***.
08:51That's actually pretty serious.
08:54Mechanics Alec Kelly and Liam Pucola
08:56have found massive structural cracks
08:59in wash plant Bob's screen deck.
09:03We have to come up with a long-term solution here.
09:05We can't keep doing this.
09:07It's going to turn into a nightmare pretty quickly.
09:10Alec and Liam have already patched up the cracks,
09:14but their welds keep failing.
09:21Well, what did you guys find?
09:22It doesn't sound good.
09:23We got some pretty bad cracks
09:26in Bob's lower deck there.
09:30Not just bad.
09:31He's in cancer.
09:33Doesn't matter who's welding him up.
09:35It's blowing right past our supports.
09:37Yeah, today we got four cracks in there,
09:39so it's just like, oh, man,
09:40like, when is this going to stop?
09:41Or will it stop?
09:44Well, apparently it's not going to,
09:45so we've got to find another option.
09:47I'm going to have to talk to Parker.
09:54We need Bob up and running
09:56for the rest of the season.
09:57Right now we're down a wash plant.
10:07What up?
10:08Bob's shaker deck, it's s***.
10:11There's nothing we can do about it
10:12without a new screen deck here,
10:14so we're going to have to find one
10:15get one coming.
10:18Since Bob is screwed,
10:19let's take Bob out
10:20and bring Sluisfer in.
10:23I want Bob back in that pit, though,
10:25at the end of the week.
10:27I don't want to do this season
10:28with Sluisfer.
10:29We've had a lot of problems
10:30with that wash plant in the cold.
10:32We can get more yardage out of Bob.
10:35Okay, let's go tear Sluisfer apart.
10:40Parker wants Sluisfer moved to the bridge cut
10:42to take over for Bob,
10:44but you know, at this time of year,
10:46it's a dangerous game moving plants
10:48because you never know when things
10:49are going to start freezing up.
10:51But if the boss wants, the boss gets.
10:55Tyson needs to play musical wash plants.
10:59First, he must move spare wash plant Sluisfer
11:03from the lay-down yard,
11:04a mile upstream to the bridge cut
11:07to take over from Bob.
11:09He'll then drag Bob back to the lay-down yard
11:13to have its shaker deck replaced.
11:16Once fixed,
11:17Tyson must haul Bob back to the bridge cut,
11:20swap out Sluisfer,
11:22then haul it all the way back
11:24to the lay-down yard.
11:27All told,
11:29four wash plant moves
11:31in just one week.
11:34Yeah, swapping Sluisfer with Bob will make up
11:37at least three days of Sluisfer time,
11:39and that's a lot of money in the pocket for us.
11:42We don't want to leave that on the ground.
11:45We want it in the bank account.
11:48Holy f**k, it's a f**king million degrees in this f**k.
11:52Who the f**k left the heat on?
11:58Fork wash plant moves this week.
12:00In theory, it should work,
12:02but we've never done this sort of thing before.
12:05Now, we really don't want Sluisfer sliding off
12:07and getting damaged,
12:08so we're just going to take her slow and steady.
12:11We'll get her down there.
12:12We'll get her in place.
12:14Hopefully, before there's too much downtime.
12:26Oh, come on!
12:34Sluisfer, welcome to the bridge cut.
12:36All right, so now we've got to go put Sluisfer together
12:39now that it's here in the bridge cut,
12:41so we're halfway there.
12:52You know, the leaves are changing color,
12:54and we're just really under the gun
12:56to get this wash plant set up here.
13:02It's tricky.
13:04Tyson's the best, so...
13:06He's done this a million times.
13:09Looking good, Tyson.
13:10Looking good.
13:12We're going to get this conveyor
13:13mounted on this Sluisfer.
13:15Okay, keep walking forward, Tyson.
13:19Yep, good there.
13:22Just got the conveyor on,
13:24and now we're trying to hang one Sluisfer
13:26and down just a little bit, Tyson.
13:29Whoa!
13:30Awesome.
13:32Nice work, guys.
13:33Record timing.
13:34Yeah.
13:35It's the first to fork wash plant move.
13:37Sweet.
13:39Sluisfer's ready to rock here.
13:42Well, here we go.
13:43Let's fire Sluisfer up here,
13:45and hopefully Bob will be back in place
13:48before we know it.
13:58With Sluisfer washing paid,
14:00Tyson can turn his attention
14:02to getting wash plant Bob repaired.
14:06Bob's really hurting right now.
14:08Now we're getting ready
14:09to haul it to the plant yard.
14:13That looks good right there.
14:21Off to her maiden voyage.
14:23She needs some work.
14:43You know, Parker wants us to get as much gold
14:46out of the ground as possible,
14:47but Bob's cracking out.
14:49We're constantly just wanting to keep Sluisfer
14:51and wanting to keep washing rocks.
14:52At Dominion Creek,
14:55foreman Tyson Lee is in a race
14:57to get wash plant Bob's screen deck
15:00replaced by the end of the week.
15:03I just got off the phone
15:04and got a screen deck
15:06that sounds like it's going to work for Bob.
15:09The only thing is,
15:10it's in Vancouver Island,
15:11and we've got to get it up here to Dawson City.
15:14To get Bob back Sluisfer,
15:17Tyson must transport a brand-new shaker deck
15:20over 1,800 miles north to Dominion.
15:25So, you know, normally when I'm in these kind of trying times
15:30of a lot of work to do
15:31and not enough people to do them,
15:33and I would call Tupper,
15:36and he's kind of been a secret weapon of mine
15:38for the past couple years now.
15:42Where I always, you know,
15:43looked up to him
15:44as a bit of an idol of mine.
15:48And he's been suffering.
15:53He's been diagnosed with leukemia.
16:05And he's trying to battle it out.
16:09He's gone through countless rounds of chemo,
16:13really been taking a toll on him.
16:18Hollage Company owner Mike Tupper
16:20has been Tyson's mentor
16:22since he was 13 years old.
16:24Tyson had a dream of going gold mining,
16:27and here he is,
16:29and now I guess he's the boss,
16:30and I'm his little kid.
16:33Over the years,
16:34Tyson's friend has been his go-to guy
16:36for hauling large equipment.
16:40Tyson called me and basically said,
16:42get up here, we're moving big red,
16:44and we're in a panic,
16:45and we're short guys,
16:46so here I am.
16:47Thanks for your help, Top.
16:48Couldn't have done it without you.
16:52Normally, we talk on the phone
16:54pretty much every night,
16:55and just went through a period there
16:57of not really hearing from him at all.
17:15How are you doing, Top?
17:18Yeah, doing good.
17:19Doctors are super happy,
17:21so building strength,
17:23and just trying to get back to the normal.
17:25You look good.
17:27Yeah, I've been through the ringer.
17:28It's not easy,
17:29but fight, stay positive,
17:32and get through this,
17:33and get back at it.
17:34Yeah, well, everyone misses you up here.
17:36That's for sure.
17:38I think about it every day,
17:39and I think about all you guys, so...
17:41this week would have been
17:43a hell of a lot easier with you here,
17:44that's for sure.
17:45It's been wild.
17:48Yeah, I miss it.
17:50Believe me.
17:51So...
17:51How are you doing?
17:53I kind of need to ask a favor from you.
17:55Basically, Bob's screen deck
17:57is cracking out of it.
17:59I got a screen deck for us
18:01that will work,
18:03but it's in Vancouver Island,
18:05and we need it here.
18:07That's okay.
18:08I can send a little bit over to grab it.
18:10That would be great.
18:11The sooner we have it, the better.
18:13Okay.
18:14If I know you're getting tired,
18:16and Parker's got you doing lots,
18:19and you know what?
18:21Well, just stick with it,
18:23and do what you do,
18:24and get rid of it, man.
18:27Just heal up,
18:28and if anyone's got it,
18:29it's you.
18:29Love you, man.
18:30Okay.
18:31Love you, Tice.
18:32See you top.
18:33Yeah.
18:33Bye.
18:56Time to go see Kevin.
18:57I hope he's not in the middle of something,
18:59because I got to deliver some bad news.
19:03This venture means a lot
19:05to both of us,
19:06like, for all the frustrations,
19:08finally being able to do it himself,
19:10and finally being able to tell Tony
19:13that he succeeded
19:15is probably what Kevin would love to do.
19:25Hey, Kev.
19:26Yep.
19:27Can I have a word with it for a sec?
19:29Yeah, sure.
19:29Oh, my God.
19:35Sal?
19:36Is there a little bit of accounting in books?
19:38Mm-hmm.
19:39We're pretty far away
19:40from our 2,000-ounce goal.
19:42Things are getting pretty bad.
19:44Oh, .
19:46Should we ask Tony for help?
19:48I...
19:49I don't think so.
19:51I'd rather just do it on our own.
19:54Hmm.
19:54I mean, especially considering
19:55I'm not very good at asking for help.
19:58No, you're usually quite stubborn.
20:00Kind of like your father.
20:03The ground is just not panning up.
20:05If we got to cut any expenses we can,
20:08we'll just have to work our asses up.
20:10Yeah.
20:12All right.
20:14Tony Beat's eldest son, Kevin,
20:17is on the ropes.
20:19With less than a month to go
20:21in his second season as Mind Boss,
20:24he's still over 1,000 ounces short of his goal
20:28and running out of cash fast.
20:31This year is in serious jeopardy.
20:33It's not showing up in the ground,
20:35which is...
20:39I've been working for Tony for over 25 years.
20:42The easy answer,
20:44going to Tony for help,
20:46I don't think we're going to do it.
20:49I spoke a lot of big
20:50so I better walk the walk
20:52that I'm trying to talk.
20:54All we can do.
20:59Kevin has spent 10 weeks
21:01mining the 7-acre Sphinx Cut,
21:03but so far,
21:05it's not delivered the gold he needs.
21:08The 2,000 ounce gold
21:09does seem a little far off,
21:11but we'll see.
21:12Hopefully,
21:13all the work we're going to put in
21:14pays off.
21:18Naturally,
21:19Kevin doesn't want to leave
21:20any gold in the ground
21:22with the price that gold is at the moment,
21:24so,
21:25yeah,
21:26we're all working our butts off
21:27to get it all through the plant.
21:31It's kind of important
21:32that we get this stripping,
21:33that ground strip,
21:35keep the payroll.
21:37That's the only way
21:38to make that 2,000 ounce gold.
21:41It's straightforward.
21:42We've got to get through
21:43and keep it there.
21:45But Kevin definitely needs
21:46somebody that's diversified
21:48to be able to give them a half.
21:51To help keep the plant
21:53running 24-7
21:54and increase gold production,
21:57Kevin's called in
21:58a trusted veteran.
22:00The birds are tweeting,
22:02the sun's out.
22:04I've had my breakfast.
22:07Happy as a pig of s***.
22:11Gary Masters worked with Kevin
22:14last season
22:14and has 15 years experience
22:17running a loader.
22:19Back in the loader seat again,
22:21a message off of Kevin
22:24asking me to return
22:26for the final push.
22:29So I got back to camp,
22:32got back in the loader,
22:33and now we're going to do
22:34that last push
22:35to the end of the season.
22:37Recently got married.
22:39Shall we say cut the honeymoon
22:40a bit short,
22:43which I don't mind.
22:45The new wife
22:46wasn't overly impressed,
22:49but...
22:51The buggers here
22:52are like a little family,
22:53so hopefully we will meet
22:55our target
22:56and see the season out.
22:58We're just battling on
23:00at the moment.
23:01Happy days.
23:02Plant's running again.
23:05Oh, we've got damage.
23:09Oh, f*** me,
23:10that wasn't a good one.
23:15Call for Kevin.
23:17Call for Kevin.
23:18Go for Kevin.
23:20You know the bar
23:23that goes from one side
23:24to the other,
23:25that is self-destructed.
23:30I'll be right there.
23:32Things keep breaking on us.
23:34We really can't afford
23:35any f*** downtown.
23:49Oh, we've got damage.
23:52Oh, we're going to turn her off.
23:55Shut her down.
23:57Kevin's only moneymaker
23:59is shut down
24:01with broken grizzly bars.
24:11It's the bar
24:13that runs this end
24:16straight through.
24:18It's broken to f***ing bent.
24:20It's bent like a frigging banana.
24:22I'm going to have to have a look at that.
24:24There's not one thing,
24:26it's another.
24:27It's f***ing atrocious.
24:29Yeah.
24:30So,
24:31start of the plan.
24:33We're going to hook up
24:33our giant come along here
24:35to the crossbeam,
24:36the piece of half-inch steel.
24:38Try and pull it
24:40straighter.
24:41At least get that end
24:42back through the hole
24:43and then see if we can
24:44straighten it out.
24:45Probably well
24:46the support bracket
24:47to hold it in a f***ing place.
24:48Probably heat it
24:49to make it live
24:50in its new home.
24:52The hopper feeder's
24:54grizzly bars
24:54stop big rocks
24:56from traveling through
24:57and damaging
24:58Kevin's wash plan.
25:01Two crossbeams
25:02that run through
25:03the center of the grizzlies
25:04are damaged
25:05due to large rocks
25:07smashing against them.
25:08To fix them,
25:09Kevin must heat
25:11the steel bars
25:12and use a winch
25:13to bend the beams
25:14back into position.
25:17Once in place,
25:18he will weld
25:19a support bracket
25:20at each end
25:21to secure them.
25:25It's not going to be
25:27be a 10-minute job.
25:29Being polite,
25:30oh gosh.
25:35In real terms,
25:36f***ing.
25:38Let's see.
25:40That should relieve
25:41a lot of tension
25:41if I can get it
25:42nice and red hot.
25:50You want to try
25:51giving it a crank?
25:54Yeah, she's moving.
25:59There she goes again.
26:01There we go.
26:04This is back
26:05in the right place.
26:06I'm going to weld
26:07either end of it
26:08before we take this off
26:10to help hold it
26:11in f***ing spot.
26:17Okay.
26:19That's the last
26:20f***ing weld gate.
26:21Brilliant.
26:23Hopefully now
26:24we can get it
26:24to the end of the season
26:25without any more f***ing work.
26:27Shut down.
26:29For six hours,
26:30it's cost Kevin
26:31over $15,000
26:33in lost gold production.
26:36Screen deck on.
26:48I'm very confident
26:49about the fix.
26:51All right.
26:52Nice, good-sized bucket.
26:56Three top of the rocks
26:57in there too.
26:58That's good.
26:59Good.
27:00Yes.
27:01For the welds.
27:03Looks good, Gary.
27:04It's looking good.
27:06Nice and smooth.
27:07Plant is running.
27:09We are finding gold.
27:13Hopefully now
27:13we can get it
27:14to the end of the season
27:15without any more f***ing work.
27:17Fingers crossed.
27:44From what we've had
27:45to deal with,
27:45I think things are
27:47looking actually positive
27:48right now.
27:49We're going to fight
27:49to get as much gold
27:50as we can get.
27:51Is there going to be
27:52enough here
27:53to be able to hit our goal,
27:54hit 1,800 ounces?
27:55I don't know.
27:56Obviously, we've got
27:56a long ways to go,
27:57but we know that we're
27:58on the goal.
28:00After a two-month
28:01gold drought,
28:02Rick and his skeleton crew
28:04are finally back
28:05running Vegas Valley Pay,
28:08chasing a 350-ounce week.
28:12Everything seems
28:12to be going really well.
28:15It's a pretty steady pace.
28:15We're pushing
28:16to pull quite a bit
28:18of gold out
28:18in the last four weeks here.
28:23Plant's running
28:24exactly how we want it to run.
28:27Right now,
28:27we're right on cue
28:28to be where we need.
28:29Keep the gold coming out.
28:32Go home with some f***ing money.
28:34While Kyle feeds Munster red
28:36and mechanic Ryan
28:37clears its tailings,
28:39rock truck drivers
28:40Chris and Kai
28:41haul Pater to the stockpile.
28:441,800 ounces
28:45sounds like a lot,
28:46but we've got a good crew,
28:47so I'm excited
28:48for keeping money coming in
28:50and obviously go home
28:51with a good gold bonus
28:53with the way gold prices
28:54are today.
29:02Oh, f***.
29:05You've got to be kidding me.
29:07F*** me.
29:11F*** me.
29:13F*** me.
29:20F*** me.
29:21Yep.
29:24Ryan,
29:25you got a copy?
29:26Yeah, I'll go ahead.
29:27My tire went flat.
29:30We've got to get a new tire.
29:31It's just what we f***ing need.
29:36A rock truck down,
29:38Kai jumps into Rick's
29:39only spare working truck.
29:43We're not having
29:45the greatest luck
29:45towards the end
29:46of the season here.
30:07Hey, Chris,
30:08you got a copy?
30:10Yeah, go ahead.
30:11Yeah, buddy,
30:12your truck's making
30:13some noises
30:13in your driveline area.
30:15F*** me.
30:16Yeah, it doesn't
30:16sound really good.
30:18F*** me.
30:19Ryan's not going
30:20to be happy.
30:22F*** me.
30:24Take a look
30:24at it real quick.
30:26F*** me.
30:28Hey, Kyle,
30:28you got a copy?
30:29Yeah, go ahead.
30:31Hey, shut the plan down, dude.
30:32We've already got
30:33two trucks down.
30:34All right.
30:35I'll shut her down.
30:42We've already got
30:42two trucks down
30:43with hardly any gold
30:45right now.
30:47Unfortunately,
30:47we've got to shut
30:47the plan down
30:48and go get this fixed.
31:05This radio call
31:07from Chris
31:08saying his
31:09rear of the truck's
31:10making a f***ing
31:11clonking noise
31:12on it right now.
31:12We've got another truck
31:13down with a tire.
31:14After just
31:15two days running,
31:17Monster Red
31:17is once again
31:19at a standstill
31:20while Rick's
31:21sluicing crew
31:22fixed two
31:23broken rock trucks.
31:36This drive line,
31:37it's taken a couple
31:38pretty good shots.
31:39This drive line's f***ed up.
31:41Just f***ing taking a toll.
31:43This is the Ness crew's
31:45third broken drive shaft
31:46of the season.
31:48You know,
31:48we've got a spare
31:49drive line.
31:49Right now,
31:50this is the last
31:51functioning one we got.
31:53Kyle's giving me a hand.
31:54He's kind of taking on
31:55the rock truck tire
31:57that we've got damaged.
31:58This is our last
31:59spare tire.
32:01So we're just trying
32:02to tackle two things
32:03at once here.
32:04We're not running
32:04a wash plant,
32:05so that means
32:05no gold coming in.
32:07Trying to get this
32:08done as quick as possible.
32:10Okay, rotate.
32:12All right,
32:13there's that.
32:14Just a slip yoke.
32:16Okay.
32:17See you later.
32:19All good?
32:20Yep.
32:20Excellent.
32:21All right.
32:27So now we're
32:27back in the
32:29two-truck game.
32:31We've got Chris
32:31fixed up.
32:32Now we need to get
32:32this one done
32:33because it's bound
32:34to happen again
32:35that we lose another one.
32:36Yeah, bring her down
32:37a little.
32:41Now we've got
32:42this tire on here.
32:43We'll put some air in it.
32:44Me and Ryan can get
32:45our ass back to that
32:45wash plant and keep
32:46running pay.
32:50We really got to
32:51tighten up and be
32:52careful the rest of
32:52the season.
32:53Otherwise, our chance
32:54at 1,800 isn't going
32:55to happen.
32:56Unfortunately,
32:57it's two hours of
32:57bull we didn't need
32:58to do right there.
33:00Downtime's crucial.
33:01Every minute adds up
33:01out here, and especially
33:02when you've got winter
33:03around the corner.
33:06Fired back up.
33:07Fire up.
33:07I'll jump in that
33:08loader.
33:19Monster Red may be
33:20back in the game,
33:21but the crew needs
33:22a record-breaking
33:23gold haul
33:24to claw back
33:25lost time.
33:28It's just a lot
33:29right now, man.
33:30Everybody's tired.
33:30So is the equipment.
33:34But the good thing is
33:35we're back up and running.
33:36Bailey's got his trucks
33:37back, you've got the
33:39plant fired up, and
33:40we're sluicing it.
33:56The screen deck and
33:57Bob keeps cracking
33:58apart.
33:58We keep fixing it.
34:00It's a major job to fix
34:01them, which we don't
34:02have time for.
34:03At Dominion's laydown
34:05yard, wash plant Bob
34:07is shut down, awaiting a
34:09new screen deck.
34:11With how high the gold
34:12price is, we can't afford
34:13that much downtime, so I've
34:14asked the guys to bring
34:15sluice for in.
34:16We could keep sluice for in
34:18the whole time, but Bob
34:19runs a little more yardage,
34:20which helps, but more
34:21importantly than that,
34:22sluice for does really
34:23poorly in the cold.
34:25When Bob's fixed, we will
34:26put it back in, I think.
34:27I think we have to, because
34:29we have a lot of pay to
34:31sluice, and it's getting
34:32cold.
34:38You know, it's getting
34:39near the end of the season,
34:40and this is when crunch time
34:42happens.
34:43The pressure's on now, and
34:45it'll be on until we're done.
34:46At Parker's wash plant yard,
34:48with Tyson's friend Tupper's
34:50help, mechanic Bill Horton
34:52has a special delivery.
34:54Can I interest anybody in a
34:57screen deck?
34:58That was perfect timing.
34:59Tupper, and he was able to
35:01help us out, get the screen
35:02deck up here.
35:03That looks awesome.
35:05To swap the new screen deck
35:07into Bob, the crew must first
35:10disassemble the plant's hopper.
35:13Next, they will remove the
35:15cracked seven-ton shaker deck,
35:18then crane the new shaker deck
35:21back onto its springs, followed
35:24by the hopper feeder and spray
35:26bars.
35:30So we'll get the crane set up
35:31here, and pick this hopper off
35:34first.
35:36We've never done a screen deck
35:37here on site, but we're also
35:40doing triple the ground we used
35:42to do, and the sluicing hours are
35:44crazy, so it's bound to happen.
35:51Piece number two coming off.
35:54That's awesome.
35:56And then it's screen deck time.
36:02Now, we've got to come this way
36:03some, because we've got some
36:04bolts coming through here that are
36:05going to hook.
36:08Okay, you'll clear here now.
36:18It's all right.
36:20Oh, second.
36:26Just a spring.
36:28Okay, now you're clear.
36:30Yeah, I'm going this side.
36:34Everything's looking good.
36:35If we can get it setting on the ground
36:37here, then we'll be good.
36:40Great job.
36:44This is the big moment here.
36:45We're going to lift the new screen
36:47deck into place.
36:48Hopefully this all goes as smooth as
36:50it came apart.
36:52Hopefully we get this screen deck
36:53setting on here on top of these
36:55springs without hurting anything.
36:56You know, if we smash the pulley off
36:58the end or bend the shaft, we're
36:59pretty much .
37:01So, it's only $100,000.
37:02I'm sure we can just pick up another
37:03one tomorrow at the corner store.
37:05Ready?
37:06Yeah.
37:16Try to steady it, okay?
37:18Just want to bump the springs and get
37:20them in the pillar.
37:23Is that all four of this side in?
37:25Yeah, they're all in.
37:30Brand new screen deck's in place.
37:39It's about time we get her out to the
37:40field and put her to the test.
37:48The way the gold's been coming in,
37:50we really need four wash plants to
37:52help us pull off 10,000 ounces this
37:54year.
37:56You know, right now we're pulling
37:57into the bridge cut.
38:07We're going to shut Sleucifer down,
38:09get the wash plants traded out, get
38:10bald fired up in no time.
38:22Sleucifer moved out.
38:24Looking good, Tyson.
38:25Looking good.
38:26It's time to swap in Bob.
38:31Here it comes.
38:32Here it comes.
38:34I think that's a beautiful spot.
38:36Swing towards the wash plant slowly.
38:43Okay, you're there.
38:44Looking good, Tyson.
38:47So right now we're getting ready to fire
38:50up here.
38:50Here we go.
38:58After four wash plant moves in one week.
39:02First scoop of paint going into Bob's new
39:04shaker deck.
39:10Bob is back sluicing ready to help chase down
39:15Parker's 10,000-ounce gold.
39:17And hopefully it's the last of the downtime
39:20here in the bridge cut.
39:21Let's go.
39:41Hey, Kev.
39:42Hey, Faith.
39:43How she goes?
39:44Good.
39:46Little something, something?
39:47Little something, something?
39:49Kevin and Faith are over 1,000 ounces short of their 2,000-ounce gold.
39:55So we had a bit of a rough week with the grizzly bar issue.
39:59Yeah.
40:00But it's nice to have Gary running the equipment.
40:03Oh, yeah.
40:03A nice...
40:04Gary's always nice.
40:05Nice, cool head keeping the eye on you.
40:07Mm-hmm.
40:08Should we weigh it up, find out?
40:10Sure.
40:10Kevin has two weeks of gold to weigh up.
40:13So far, his sphinx cut has been averaging just 75 ounces per week.
40:2025, 30, 35, 45, 55.
40:26To get back on track, he needs it to deliver 250 ounces.
40:32170, 180, 190, 200, 220.
40:39221.87.
40:44Worth $798,000.
40:47The ground is picking up a little bit, thankfully.
40:50Yeah.
40:52Kevin's gold haul pushes his season total to 1,215 ounces.
40:59I mean, it's a good thing that gold price is this high.
41:01Yeah, gold price is so high that, like, you just want to catch every single flake.
41:06Yeah.
41:08That wasn't too bad.
41:10The ground is picking up.
41:11It goes to show, though, hiring good people, like Gary, pays off.
41:17So I have to take the knocks and keep on going.
41:29Hey, Junior.
41:30How's it going, Paul?
41:30How you doing, Paul?
41:32Good.
41:32Last week, Parker's crew delivered over 600 ounces.
41:36Now, despite having to play musical wash plants, he's hoping for more.
41:43Hey, Duma.
41:44Hey, T.
41:45How are you?
41:45Good.
41:46Busy.
41:47Like everybody, huh?
41:48It was very busy.
41:49Well, it started with Bob's new shaker deck showed up.
41:52Trade Bob for Slucifer.
41:54Because you just moved, what, four wash plants.
41:56Musical wash plants.
41:57Oh, it was like, it's good we have the spare wash plant.
42:00It's nice getting that new screen cage in Bob, though.
42:03Yeah.
42:03That should really make a difference.
42:04It really gave it a facelift.
42:06Like, it looked like a brand new wash plant.
42:08We called Tupper.
42:09His company went to the island and hauled it for us.
42:11And, yeah, it all worked out well.
42:13How's he doing?
42:14Good, yeah.
42:15On the mend?
42:16On the mend.
42:16Yeah.
42:17Yeah, more and more energy every day.
42:19I'm glad that worked out.
42:20It was his way of being up here, I guess, this year.
42:25Hopefully it paid off, though.
42:26All the musical wash plants.
42:29Just far enough away from the end of the season that you don't want the downtime.
42:35Are we doing five cleanups?
42:37Doing five, yeah.
42:39Well, how did we do this week, Doomit?
42:41You want to take a look?
42:42Yeah.
42:45Bob.
42:45Broken Bob.
42:46Here we go.
42:47See what the new screen deck got us.
42:49Bob ran for just 37 hours in the bridge cut.
42:5520, 30, 35.6.
43:01That's it?
43:02But Bob's fixed and running, and it'll be all right.
43:05This is part two of your musical wash plants.
43:08This is Sluisifer.
43:09Is this what all the blood, sweat, and tears got us?
43:12Five, 15.
43:14Swapping in for Bob, Sluisifer ran for 35 hours.
43:21That's it, man.
43:22That's it?
43:2332.55.
43:26Gold's worth a lot, isn't it?
43:28No, I mean, it's 100 grand we wouldn't have had.
43:33Well, this is Big Red.
43:34This is what happens when the plant stays in the same spot.
43:37Here we go.
43:38We've got 20, 40, 80.
43:42Last week, Big Red in the Golden Mile pulled in over 133 ounces.
43:49143.15.
43:52That ground's been consistent.
43:55It's your baby, Gigi.
43:58There you go.
43:58Okay, here we go, Parker.
44:00You ready?
44:0520, 60, 90.
44:08Also sluicing the Golden Mile, new wash plant Golden Goose, which last week brought in 177 ounces.
44:17170, 187.05.
44:22Nice.
44:23Yeah.
44:24I'm glad that plant's doing well.
44:26Parker's Dominion operation has delivered 398 ounces.
44:33You want to see how Roxanne did, Mitch?
44:35Yeah, buddy.
44:36Here we go.
44:37All right.
44:3915, 35, 70.
44:44Kenan Stewart's Pit 2 has averaged nearly 140 ounces per week.
44:52150.2.
44:53Yeah.
44:56This week, 548.55.
45:00Parker's five-plant blitz has scored nearly $2 million this week.
45:07What's cool is our season total is 8,942.2.
45:13Nice.
45:15Let's get to that 10,000.
45:16All right, gentlemen.
45:17Thanks, guys.
45:19Thanks, buddy.
45:21Keep on going.
45:21Thanks for making this work.
45:24And, like, the thing with Bob and Sousifer, I'm sorry that happened.
45:27If I'd have known it was for 60 ounces, I wouldn't have done it.
45:30Well, at today's prices, it was worth it.
45:33Thanks.
45:34Thanks.
45:46Look at this guy.
45:47Is he going on a hot date tonight or what?
45:49Shut your mouth.
45:52I can put on a clean shirt every now and then.
45:55After eight weeks without sluicing and over a million dollars in the hole, Rick finally
46:01has gold to weigh.
46:03Right now, it's good to see that gold.
46:05I mean, that's just the right step in the right direction.
46:08Yep.
46:09I forgot what gold looked like.
46:11Right now, yeah, like 350 ounces a week is what we need right now to hit our goal.
46:16I know it's that we had to ban Valhalla, but had to do what we had to do, I guess.
46:20And at least there was pay left over from last year.
46:23Yeah, Vegas Valley, we know that's good pay.
46:26This is the second time we're gambling on Vegas Valley.
46:28Yeah.
46:29We'd gamble on it last year, too.
46:31I don't think you have a choice.
46:31No, we don't.
46:36I mean, it always comes down to the end of the season for us, but this one I think is
46:38going to be rough.
46:40Let's see if we can put a dent in it anyways.
46:43By the way, that first hundred ounces was in there, and this is whatever we've got to
46:49go on top of that.
46:50All right.
46:54Whoa, 10, 20, 30.
46:57It's going.
46:59Where we had 95, 97, 98, 100, 105.4.
47:06That's good, man.
47:08Plus 100, so that's 205.4.
47:10205.4.
47:11Yeah.
47:13Worth just over $730,000.
47:17It ain't $350,000, but we'll take it.
47:20That's a lot of money, man.
47:21It's hard to be upset at that.
47:24643.84 ounces.
47:26It was a lot, but...
47:28Yeah, we're running out of time.
47:30I know we can do this, and I appreciate you guys sticking it out, man.
47:33I really do.
47:34Without you guys, this doesn't happen.
47:35Yep.
47:36So...
47:36Thanks, guys.
47:36Dinner!
47:37Dinner!
47:37Woo!
47:41Yeah, it's good to see that amount of gold.
47:45205.4 ounces is amazing after having nothing.
47:48Guys really pulled it together.
47:50Unfortunate things, we still got a long ways to go.
47:53Well, you know, hard to be sad about 205 ounces of gold these days, but, you know, it's not
47:57quite the number we need, but I know now we're on the right path, and we just got to
48:00work for it.
48:01remember to go find a lot, but.
48:01Here's my goal.
48:02We did!
48:02Let's go!
48:03The truck now!
48:04The truck the...ijown
48:04on!
