00:26This time of season right now, I mean, I can tell the summer's gone.
00:29We're well into the fall, and we have no time for delays anymore.
00:33Four months into the season, Rick Ness is deep in the hole.
00:40I mean, at the moment, we're not even at 500 ounces yet, so we can't afford to be wasting
00:44any more time.
00:46If we don't see some gold soon, there's no way we're going to hit our 1,800 ounces.
00:50Just seven weeks remain in the mining season.
00:54Rick's now spent a million dollars moving a mountain in his Valhalla cut, and he's finally
01:01close to hitting the pay layer.
01:04This whole Valhalla cut here, you know, it's huge.
01:07It's probably the biggest project I've ever taken on up here, and, you know, it's really
01:11starting to eat at me a bit.
01:12If things don't go exactly as they have to go, then I'm broken.
01:15I'm done.
01:17Bailey's got a lot done in the cut.
01:18I mean, he's doing a hell of a job down there.
01:20It's looking like any day, we're going to be a town to pay, and we need to get solution
01:24quick.
01:24We need to see some gold.
01:26The guys are with me on it.
01:28I know that.
01:28And they've been working their asses off, and that's just what we're going to stick
01:31with, because if Valhalla pays off, it could be the best decision I've ever made.
01:39Hey, Rick, you got a copy?
01:41Go for Rick.
01:42You can come down the cut.
01:55Oh, boy.
01:56Well, buddy, I've got some honest opinions.
02:00From there, you can see how it dives right there.
02:02That's the slope, and then it continues there.
02:05But everything from, like, that edge?
02:08Yeah.
02:08I dug 25 more feet down, as far as that thing can go down, and it was just still pure
02:14clay.
02:15What do you mean?
02:17No pay.
02:21Rick believes an ancient dried-out riverbed filled with coarse gold runs across four miles
02:29of his Duncan Creek claims.
02:31The 50-foot pay streak is proven to run under Raleigh Valley and then downstream to Vegas Valley.
02:39Rick assumed this pay layer would be at the same 150-foot depth in Valhalla.
02:46But after digging down for over a month, instead of hitting pay dirt,
02:52Bentley has run into a 25-foot clay layer with no gold.
02:58Absolutely.
03:04Dude.
03:05It's all this clay.
03:06Like, where the do we take it?
03:0725 more feet down, that's...
03:09That's too much.
03:10Too much for this year.
03:12There might be rich pay farther down, but you think about it, we don't know what's down there.
03:17Yeah.
03:21I dug a test hole pretty much just across from that elbow right there.
03:24Yeah.
03:25To, like, the edge of that over there.
03:27But it's just clay.
03:28Oh, it's clay all the way to the next cut, man.
03:33It doesn't make any sense.
03:38Sorry that I've got to tell you, but, like, the ground don't lie.
03:42It was all dead zone.
03:47It's a smack to the face, man.
03:48I know we did all this work, but...
03:50Yeah.
03:52Is it worth it?
03:54All right, give me a minute.
03:55Yep.
04:08We have no clue what's underneath this clay, and we've got to figure out something quick,
04:12because time's running out.
04:17Quite a bit going on today.
04:19You know, Rick's doing some soul-searching right now, looking for what he wants to do.
04:23So, a lot of thoughts going through his head.
04:32I really thought that this whole Valhalla cut was going to be huge for us.
04:35Bailey gets out of this clay layer, we just have no way to deal with that this year.
04:39It's just not going to work.
04:43I'm out here with seven people trying to move a mountain, right?
04:45To get down to a little spot in the bottom that's got a bunch of gold in it.
04:52When I wanted to make these big decisions, that would leave me, by the time I was done with this,
04:57with something that I could hold in that cell and be able to do what I want after that.
05:01That's the whole reason I'm out here, right?
05:03I don't want to be mining until I'm 100 years old.
05:06I want to learn this.
05:07I want to do it.
05:08I want to do it right.
05:08And I want to be happy after this.
05:11And now I'll walk away with nothing, you know?
05:16And that's the opposite of the plan.
05:20I wanted to walk away from this with everything.
05:22And, uh...
05:27Yeah.
05:32Is this...
05:33This whole endeavor could be the thing that...
05:38makes my entire life great, or it could be the thing that ruins it.
05:48I can handle it.
05:49I can handle it.
05:49I can handle it.
05:50I've been handling it.
05:51But, like, there's some names about it.
05:52It's just too much.
05:54And I don't talk about it with my guys.
05:55I don't talk about it with anybody.
05:56Because if I talk about it, it makes it real.
05:58And then I can't control it.
06:02It's just not where I thought it would be when I made the decision.
06:06And it's frustrating.
06:07And I don't...
06:08At this time, I'm wondering if it ever is going to be.
06:14Yeah, I'm struggling more than I thought I would.
06:17Damn it.
06:41There's no reason to slow down for me.
06:44If you've ever seen these retired people...
06:46I mean, the biggest thing they have to look forward with is to walk behind the wife.
06:51Go f***ing shopping.
06:53Talking about things they could have done or should have done.
06:56They're dead already.
06:56They just don't know it.
06:58Not me.
07:00Back that f***ing thing up.
07:02Let's go.
07:02King of the Klondike, Tony Beetz, is on the verge of breaking records.
07:08There's still almost two months of the season to go.
07:12And Tony is already closing in on a massive milestone.
07:17We're only, what, 500 ounces away from the target.
07:20Right now, we've got three boxes banging away.
07:23You know, six, 700 yards an hour.
07:25So, if anything goes well, we should hit our 6,500-ounce goal this week.
07:32That is exciting.
07:34Tony has three wash plants running.
07:38Sluicealot and Findalot on the Indian River and the Trommel on Paradise Hill.
07:44To hit his target, Tony needs his entire arsenal of wash plants running full bore this week.
07:52Okay, back that thing up quicker. Let's go, go, go, go, go, go.
07:59At the corner cut, Sluicealot accounts for half the Indian River's weekly gold production.
08:08My responsibility is while running this land, we better watch the fines and the forest tailings that build up, you
08:16know.
08:39Oh, .
08:41See the metal separating from the edge of the drum?
08:44and that's not good you can blow up that end pulley and then you get a major jam up and
08:51then
08:51your runs get filled and you end up blowing gold out of the boxes because your runs will get full
08:56of rocks eh we got to do something about it a broken drum pulley on the course tailings conveyor
09:04has jammed taking sluice a lot out of action
09:12you can start digging down here you know the drill right start to the day though
09:19didn't think i'd be doing this a little bit of a project we can't just take the drum out
09:26we gotta take the whole conveyor off in charge of getting sluice a lot back on the gold
09:32indian river foreman cousin mike we're just gonna move the whole wash plan to a new spot where it's
09:39level sluice a lot's tailings conveyor removes coarse waste rocks from the shaker decks but four months
09:50of wear and tear has sheared its drum pulley from its shaft and the belt no longer turns to replace
09:58it
09:58cousin mike needs to raise the plant with its built-in hydraulic rams then drag it out with a dozer
10:07until it's free from the dirt next he must remove the conveyor and belt to access the broken drum pulley
10:16then install a replacement reattach the belt and finally fire the plant back up
10:26i can lift up the plant hydraulically every little bit helps as we can get it out of the dirt
10:34there it goes
10:39it is just so that when i start dragging we don't wreck anything
10:50we'll start hooking up some cables
11:00dalton do you copy dalton go ahead go ahead everybody clear you guys get the away from that cable
11:10and that cable snaps it'll cut you right in half stay away from it
11:25stay away from that cable everyone's cleared tony beats wants to smash his 6 500 ounce season target
11:35this week and needs to get his wash plant sluice a lot back in action all right out we go
11:48cable's tight
11:56i already noticed now it's heavy cooling
12:07i'll have a look at it the plant free from the dirt tony can now inspect the broken tailings conveyor
12:16how's it going gentlemen
12:17so you got it out of the dirt you want to make an old guy crawl underneath this
12:23what the hi if he can't do that anymore he shouldn't be here oh what are you finding all over
12:30there
12:31the tailpullies toast i found a new one let's see if it fits on each side we got a plate
12:37so we have to
12:39disconnect that plate take it off no there's ripped out there's built for it
12:44but i wouldn't want to screw around in the back here are you hurry up
12:51okay i'll loosen this one up len yeah
12:58let's do some lifting and then we can swing it out
13:08i'll end can you walk ahead a little bit walk forward
13:19you're free
13:22okay maybe walk another four feet
13:25i'll lift it up till it's free and try and keep it on the top that i don't hit anything
13:31okay good there
13:36yeah yeah we're good there
13:38well that was pretty successful
13:50watch your toes watch your toes
13:54she's out
13:56so we finally got this bastard out
13:58as you can see it's ripped here all the way around so we'll first try to put the new pulley
14:05in
14:05getting back to sluicing as soon as possible if the shaft is wide enough then everything and
14:10hopefully that all works out the other one is 56 and this one is 68
14:20uh-oh the one i brought is a little bit smaller uh-oh that's not gonna work so we need
14:31a new plant we
14:32like to hit a season goal so that plant's got to be up and running in order to achieve that
14:38until we
14:38come up with something else it's loose a lot ain't gonna be running
15:00the gold in the ground is the gold in the ground but it's a lot of dirt to get through
15:08it's just extremely frustrating heading into the home stretch of the season parker schnabel's
15:1610 000 ounce gold target is in danger of slipping from his grasp we just need to keep the sluicing
15:23hours up we're going to be hard pressed to get through that pit this year if we don't have wash
15:27plants running so we just hit 10 000 ounces we've got to sluice all of it
15:34last week we shut down both sluice for and big red parker shut down two wash plants to dig out
15:41the
15:41last of the pay dirt from the golden mile we have a major problem the dirt can't be in the
15:47hole
15:47anymore we could just start making pay piles while the crew continues to dig out pay
15:57parker wants to get one of the plants back up and sluicing so we've built two big pay piles
16:04big red's ready to move next to one of the big piles that we've got of pay
16:08but now tyson's taken some time off timing's not great well that's a wrap for me right now i drive
16:15to
16:15the airport and fly out to my sister's wedding while i'm gone one of the major things that really have
16:21to
16:21happen is moving big red with hyphen being gone brennan's filling in for him and brennan's going
16:28to get that plant moved this is the first kind of major wash plant thing that brennan's been in charge
16:37of so we'll see how badly he can screw it up it's on brennan now shouldn't take more than a
16:45ship
16:48hopefully i remember how all the pieces go together here despite being a seasoned dirt mover
16:54brennan rouo hasn't moved big red in five years moving a plant's always a big responsibility and
17:01it doesn't always give me a bit of anxiety if i was to be honest with you we have two
17:06pay piles that
17:07are the size of mount everest here to get through so it's all a massive race against the clock right
17:13now
17:14every minute that the plant shut down it's that many ounces of gold not getting washed
17:19parker wanted this thing solution tonight and i want to make that happen
17:26but i do want to prove myself here
17:37you guys are good with all this yeah yeah i was hoping to have it moved and set up today
17:41and washing rocks for night shifts so is your pad ready yeah better be
17:51don't break my wash plant he looked at you not me i should be looking at you first don't break
17:59my
17:59wash plant i can't promise you that hopefully these guys can get a wash plant moved hey paul we're
18:10ready to move this plant here mechanic alec kelly helps brennan move big red one mile to the far end
18:17of
18:18the golden mile oh this thing doesn't corner like a passenger car
18:25the main body of big red weighs 50 tons and clocks in at 21 feet high
18:32this is
19:01so
19:01this is
19:02a
19:02Brennan must drag it into place on its new pad.
19:09Make sure the plant comes up sort of square enough
19:12so we're not twisting like they're tied here.
19:18Favor that side of the bank and then sort of like walk sideways and out.
19:22To leave enough room for Big Red's massive feeder belts,
19:26Brennan must maneuver the plant to the edge of the pad
19:30by dangling his 58-ton excavator over the 50-foot drop.
19:36Feeling better about that?
19:38Yeah, now just walk your far track down into it.
19:41How close am I?
19:42Ah, like two feet.
19:45Am I going to drop hard?
19:49Should be okay.
19:50Just lower your boom down as you go.
19:55You can just push yourself back too if you want.
19:58It'll dig in.
19:59There you go.
20:02It sure sucks having Tyson gone here right in the middle of a plant move like this.
20:10Yeah, it's definitely feeling a little steeper than I thought it was.
20:19Keep it coming and stop there.
20:26That does look a little gnarly, eh?
20:28Yeah, not bad.
20:30You guys better make sure you remind Parker, because he looked at me and said,
20:33are you sure you finished your pad?
20:34Yeah.
20:35Dude, a lot of prep saves a lot of time.
20:37We've still got a little ways to go here, but I think you got her lined up pretty good.
20:42Next step, bring in the feed conveyor that delivers the gold-rich pay dirt to the plant.
20:48We can start folding up our radio stacker.
20:51We can start folding up our radio stacker.
20:52We can start folding up our radio stacker.
20:53We can just cross things are looking good.
20:54We can start folding up our radio stacker.
20:55We can start folding up our radio stacker.
20:59Hmm.
21:01That definitely won't last the rest of the year, that's for sure.
21:05This clip here, that clip there, and that one down there are toast.
21:11And all it takes is one bad clip to rip, and then the whole belt could be garbage.
21:19The metal clips that hold the 200-foot-long belt together are nearly destroyed.
21:28And we've got four seams in pretty s*** condition.
21:31So what is that?
21:32What are you trying to tell me here?
21:33I'm really wanting to hang a belt on this guy.
21:36Are you serious?
21:36So we have one seam.
21:38We'll have more uptime for later throughout the cold season.
21:43Oh, and how long is this going to take?
21:44If I can get it to the yard, probably six, eight hours.
21:47Have it buttoned up.
21:48S***, this sucks, man.
21:49I told Parker I'd have this thing moved in Sleweson by night shift.
21:53It's really s***ing weird.
21:54Night shift the next day.
21:57Already near the end of the shift, replacing the belt crushes Brennan's timeline.
22:05S*** is that pissed me off.
22:08You know, that's a lot of Slewes time loss.
22:10That'll be a 24-hour period of no rocks getting run.
22:12Those piles are just too big to s***ing have a minute of downtime, let alone 24 hours of it.
22:30Right now, Slewes-A-Lot is down, so I've got to figure out something, improvise something, if there's anything to
22:37get that Slewes box back up and going.
22:39On the brink of breaking through his season goal, one of Tony's top moneymakers, Slewes-A-Lot, has been shut
22:48down by a broken tail pulley.
22:51We tried ordering one, but now we're talking about a week or two.
22:54You cannot be f***ing down for two weeks.
22:56We have to come up with something.
22:58Certainly with all the crap we have, we can bag, steal, borrow, some f***ing thing in order to keep on
23:05going.
23:12Let's have a peek.
23:13This one there.
23:16I was looking at that one.
23:17Here, this one.
23:21Nice and thick.
23:23Is the inside 17 and a half?
23:25Oh, that might be.
23:27Even if it's not quite, that'd be fine, don't you?
23:3017.
23:31That'd be this perfect.
23:33That would never break again, eh?
23:34I don't think so.
23:37F***, yeah.
23:39What do you think, Hoogstra?
23:40I think it's a nice pipe.
23:42Oh, boy.
23:43Okay.
23:43You have to f*** out.
23:45I think she'll do perfect.
23:47Shim it, gentlemen.
23:48Well, it's against it.
23:50Yeah.
23:50Yeah.
23:51Perfect.
23:51Perfect.
23:52We should have this plan going before the end of the day.
23:55After finding a pipe approximately the same diameter as the busted drum,
24:02cousin Mike and Len need to cut it to size.
24:05Knock this out, weld it on, bingo.
24:08Have a boost fix.
24:09A couple hours, they'll have the f***ing thing welded up already.
24:12I like it.
24:13I think it'd be good.
24:15You gotta do a boost fix today.
24:21All right.
24:22Over there.
24:25First, what we're gonna do is remove the side plate from the drum.
24:42So, I just gotta clean that up so that we got a clean surface to weld on.
24:47That will make a more solid weld, too, for the new drum.
25:08Now, we have to line it up a little bit.
25:18Everything looks just nice and straight.
25:22It's gonna be a heavy pull.
25:25Double the weight of the old drum.
25:28Cousin Mike must now install the new pulley on the conveyor to find out if it will work.
25:37If we can side it in, we can drop one side in, right?
25:40Try it, yep.
25:41Beautiful.
25:43Okay, I'll lift the other end up, eh?
25:55Can we put a chain on that?
25:57Yeah, I'll put a chain on this one, too.
26:00Yeah, I'll, uh, slide it your way.
26:07Okay.
26:10That drum looks good.
26:11I'm very happy with, uh, how that looks.
26:13Oh, yeah!
26:17We are pretty much ready.
26:19Conveyor belt's done.
26:21Hanging back in the plant, and, uh, and we're getting pretty close to, uh, it looking like
26:25a wash plant again.
26:34There it is.
26:35Don't move, don't move, don't move.
26:36See how that goes.
26:37We're in.
26:38All right, we're in there now.
26:40Right on, boys.
26:41So, uh, all we gotta do now is just get it bolted up.
26:44We're in business.
26:51Perfect.
26:53We won't get old enough to wear that out.
26:56Hopefully, we're getting enough to get our season goal in this week, but we'll see.
27:00It looks pretty good.
27:03We'll be there for years and years.
27:26Back to full capacity, Tony's in the hunt for his 6,500-ounce gold target.
27:32So, what do you think?
27:34I'll give you a warranty of 10 years.
27:36How about that?
27:36Okay.
27:37Then we'll be back in 10 years.
27:38Yeah, huh?
28:05Well, plant's set up.
28:06Water line's in, and we're just waiting on Alec to get the radial stacker down here.
28:11Massive pay pile that the trucks keep adding to daily, so we need to get through that.
28:14After moving the bulk of Big Red in one shift, stand-in foreman Brennan Rouault is itching to get back
28:23sluicing Golden Mile Payne.
28:26Just keep buttoning a few things up here.
28:28Keep busy until he shows up with that.
28:30So, I want to be washing rocks here as fast as possible.
28:36Stopping Brennan from firing up, a busted 200-foot conveyor belt.
28:43I know Brennan was really hoping to get Big Red moved in one day, but I've already slowed that timeline
28:48down.
28:49I'm going to get it figured out.
28:51Looks like it's still me, myself, and I here for this project.
28:55There's no spare hands to help.
28:57Come on, Sash.
28:58So, Alec will need to think outside the box.
29:01This is to help feed the new conveyor belt into the frame of the unit.
29:07Just like that.
29:10String this guy out.
29:11We'll cut the old one off.
29:13Rip the old belt out this way.
29:15The rope gets caught in the frame.
29:17Tie the new belt onto the rope.
29:18Going through that snatch block.
29:20Pull on the rope.
29:21New conveyor belt goes in.
29:23That's how we get it assembled.
29:26We'll cut this in half and rip it off.
29:31That's in half.
29:33Start pulling.
29:47A long belt.
30:05Oh, we've got the old belt pulled out of the conveyor frame.
30:08Worked really nicely.
30:10Get my rope back here.
30:12And then pretty well reverse the procedure.
30:15Tie the new belt onto this rope end and drag it through again with the truck.
30:20Get this roll freed up.
30:22Lay it out next to the mighty zoom boom.
30:25Next, Alec unspools the 5,500 pound roll of fresh belt.
30:38This is perfect.
30:46Brand new belt.
30:48So, I have to make sure that I don't cut the belt too short.
30:51I don't cut it too long.
30:56I hope this is the right place.
31:05You can't tie knots.
31:07Tie two.
31:09Done.
31:10Hook the other end of that rope up to Mr. Truck and sort of drive out that way.
31:15And this guy should feed in nicely.
31:16To pull the new belt onto the conveyor and avoid snagging or ripping the new rubber,
31:24Alec has devised a unique solution.
31:28Got a snatch block here just to direct the rope travel somewhere away from the path that
31:35our new belt will be taking to get into the conveyor.
31:37So, we're not driving over top of ourselves.
31:40Got everything rigged up.
31:42There we go.
31:54Get ready.
31:58Get ready.
32:05So, let's go.
32:06You got ready.
32:06Yeah, you got ready.
32:11Yeah, you got ready.
32:20Well, we got our belt together, I'm really satisfied.
32:24The guys are itching for it and he's going to take the white Kenworth there and hook
32:27it up to this guy here and take it to Brennan.
32:30A day behind schedule, Brennan finally has the radial stacker back and is ready to test
32:38Alec's belt fix.
32:41This is the moment of truth.
32:44Here we go.
32:53This is the moment of truth.
32:57Testing.
33:01Woo!
33:05Well, should we hit the shaker and get some dirt thrown at it?
33:08I think so.
33:11Well, I'm super happy to see the dirt going through Big Red again and I just hope Parker's
33:16isn't happy.
33:1824 hours behind schedule, Big Red is back sluicing Golden Mile pay dirt.
33:30You're washing rocks!
33:32Yeah!
33:33A day late and a dollar short, Brennan.
33:36That's normal.
33:37I'm more than a dollar short.
33:39What do you mean?
33:40You've got 80,000 yards of top gravel sitting there.
33:44Thank you guys for getting this thing rolling.
33:46Yeah, you bet.
33:46No problem.
33:47It's a nice setup.
33:48Super clean.
33:50I'm very happy right now.
33:53We're going to have a hope in hell in getting through this pile and all the rest is going
33:56to come this way.
34:17It's just clay.
34:18Nothing but clay.
34:19It's got me by surprise right now.
34:21I just wasn't ready for that, you know?
34:23Come up with a new plan.
34:24Rick Ness is reeling from a gut punch.
34:28After spending a month and a million dollars, he's hit a dead end at Valhalla.
34:35Now he's expecting a visit from an old friend.
34:40Hey, Rick.
34:41Look at this.
34:42How's it going, man?
34:43Good, buddy.
34:43How you doing?
34:44Pretty good living the dream.
34:45Oh, yeah.
34:46Good to see you.
34:47How you doing?
34:48I'm good.
34:49How are you?
34:50I'm great.
34:50We were in the area.
34:51I had to pick up a rock truck.
34:53This morning.
34:54Rock trucks.
34:55I could use some of those.
34:55I got 30 of them, and I need more.
34:57Yeah.
34:57The price of gold is good.
34:59Everything is running good.
35:01The price of gold is good.
35:02I see what you and Parker are doing, and I'm just like, man, am I missing something?
35:06Depths that we're going, though, I don't know.
35:07That's getting a little out of hand for such a small crew.
35:09But every now and then, we'll hit some clay band and that mess.
35:12You need a lot of trucks, Rick.
35:13Yeah, we need a lot of trucks.
35:14Yeah, and for that, you need some of that gold stuff.
35:17Funny how that is.
35:18That's right.
35:19We should just go look at it.
35:19There you go.
35:20Let's try the race car.
35:21How's that?
35:24It's got no brakes right now.
35:25Well, who cares?
35:26Oh, .
35:38Holy , that's a hell of a hole, pal.
35:40Yeah.
35:47Wow, wow, wow, wow.
35:52That's pretty scary, young man.
35:55See, this is bedrock we're staying on right here.
35:57Yeah, yeah, yeah.
35:57And it goes down like that.
36:00I'll have to come up with a new plan for that, but.
36:02And how many feet did you sluice?
36:0410, 15?
36:0550.
36:0550?
36:0650 feet.
36:0750, you sluice to 50 feet?
36:08Yep.
36:09Well, that's not all wrong with it.
36:10Yeah.
36:11For the plus side for us.
36:12Yeah.
36:123 to 1, 3 to 1 ratio.
36:13Yes, yes.
36:14Any drill holes?
36:16No.
36:18Vegas Valley, we opened up last year, and this is where the channel went down and we got all
36:22that out of there.
36:23And there's still a chunk in there?
36:25Yeah, there's a chunk in there.
36:26If you attack something like this, yeah, 10, 15 trucks, if not 20.
36:30Yeah.
36:31Go like hell.
36:31To really, yeah, to really open it up.
36:33Yeah.
36:34That'd be something.
36:36I can't afford that, so.
36:38Nice project, huh?
36:40Yeah?
36:40I like it.
36:41It won't be until we get to the bottom, right?
36:43That's pretty much it.
36:44Yeah.
36:51How did it go?
36:53You learn anything new?
36:54Well, you got a hole going down there.
36:57But it is 150 down to 50 pay.
37:00So there's a little.
37:01That's not bad.
37:03In order to do this, you know, you should go in big.
37:06A lot of equipment.
37:08That's what we talked about.
37:09Put a pile of in there.
37:10Yeah.
37:11But it takes lots of money.
37:12That takes lots of gold.
37:17It's worked so far, you know.
37:19We've definitely stayed alive, but this one's got me worried.
37:24Right a few bucks going in there before you get it, right?
37:27Yeah.
37:27Yep.
37:28Kind of tough.
37:30That's what's got me worried the most.
37:32I was hoping to be, at this point, pay this off and start really putting the money away.
37:36And now it's turned into, can I survive until I can start putting the money away?
37:40Right.
37:41Yeah.
37:42Now, you don't want to become a seller.
37:45Do I?
37:45Or do I?
37:46I don't know.
37:46Sometimes I'm wondering.
37:48Well.
37:48Well, put a price on the table.
37:53But me put a price?
37:54Right?
37:55Me put a price on the table?
37:56Yeah, put a price on the table.
37:57Then you know.
38:00Then you don't have no worries.
38:02All right.
38:05All right.
38:23Would you sell this?
38:25At Duncan Creek, Rick's just had a bombshell buyout offer, dropped by the king of the Klondike.
38:34I would be serious, interesting, because I like these kind of projects.
38:39If you want to discuss that, I don't want these guys around.
38:47At current prices, Rick's four miles of Duncan Creek claims could contain over $50 million of gold.
39:04I appreciate you stopping by.
39:06Thanks.
39:07It's always good.
39:08Nice to see you.
39:09Good to see you.
39:10Yeah.
39:10Yeah.
39:13Rick, good luck.
39:14Catch you later, man.
39:15Yep.
39:35It's a weird situation to be in right now.
39:37Just with what Tony said, I just kind of, I mean, kind of hit me in a way.
39:44I mean, obviously, I know what I got here.
39:46I know the value of it.
39:51It just seems like, at this point, taking the money and running is just, is it really smart or is
40:01it contrary to what I set up here to do, you know?
40:04It's a number with seven zeroes.
40:07It's a number with seven zeroes on it gets thrown in your face.
40:08Like, it's hard to .
40:11It's hard to say no to that, too.
40:15I've never really been one to get pushed out of something when I wasn't ready for it.
40:18But maybe I shouldn't be looking at it that way.
40:21I don't know.
40:24Ah, .
40:26Every time I think that, you know, I'm getting ahead, I just get pushed backwards again.
40:30And like, you know, that's whatever.
40:31I'm not crying about it.
40:32I'm here to take it.
40:33I'm here to do it.
40:34But like, when is enough enough?
40:35When there's a, when there's a, when there's a, when there's a guarantee put in front of you, when do
40:39you just say, it, I'll take that and I'll quit fighting.
40:45I've been saying like, you know, I was 30 years old when I came up here 14 years ago and
40:49now I'm 70.
40:50But I don't know if that's a joke anymore.
40:55Yeah, I'm not going to have an answer today either.
40:57So I got a lot to think about.
41:24Hey guys, how's it going buddy?
41:25Good.
41:27At the end of the week, Tyson has returned from his sister's wedding.
41:31Was there any good drama at your wedding?
41:34No.
41:35No.
41:35Boring.
41:36It all went pretty good man.
41:38It's not a real wedding without at least one fist fight.
41:40Yeah.
41:42How did Big Red's move go Brennan?
41:44I wish you were there with us, but we got it all set up.
41:47Nice.
41:47Had a delay though with that belt, the radial stacker there.
41:50And he's like, I need to change the belt.
41:52And I tried arguing with him.
41:53You don't want to be the guy that goes to them at midnight and be like, hey, remember that belt?
41:59And it's like minus 10 out.
42:01The one you wanted to change like two weeks ago when it was still kind of warm?
42:04And we told you not to.
42:08But yeah, other than not it went really smooth.
42:10Thanks for filling in while Tyson was gone.
42:12Nice work man.
42:13Yeah, thanks.
42:14Just hoping to make you proud there.
42:15Yeah.
42:16Tyson, you want to see what Bob did?
42:17Sure.
42:18I think that says Bob on there, doesn't it?
42:20Oh, yeah.
42:20Let's see how the bridge cut did.
42:22All right.
42:23First up, Parker's wash plant, Bob.
42:27Over the last two months, it's been consistently averaging 150 ounces.
42:3540, 80, 100, 130, 142.7.
42:46Yeah.
42:47Bob's been pretty boring.
42:49Next up, Roxanne, running pay dirt from Kenan Stewart's, where last week it pulled in 123 ounces.
42:58All right, Roxanne, 60, 100, 120, 130, 134.3.
43:12That's not bad.
43:14Finally, Big Red, sluicing the first pay dirt from the Golden Mile in two weeks.
43:21Here we go, Big Red.
43:2410, 20, 30, 40, 40.25.
43:34Well, you know, Brennan, you didn't get a full week, right?
43:36You're just getting started, so.
43:38It's a start.
43:39Yeah.
43:39No, for sure.
43:39Last week, we had 306.25 ounces.
43:43This week, it's 317.25.
43:47Worth $1.1 million.
43:50So, we picked up 11 ounces.
43:54And season total, 7,365.8 ounces.
43:59This crawling towards 10,000 ounces is painful.
44:03At this pace, Parker will fall short of his 10,000-ounce goal.
44:09We were racing earlier this season.
44:12Well, I don't know how much I've told you guys, but there is a new plant showing up.
44:15So, we should be able to slam through some yardage.
44:17And so, hopefully, that makes a difference.
44:19Hopefully, you're ready for a good push.
44:21We'll see.
44:33So, we went and visited Rick.
44:36I told him that if for some reason or another, he wanted to partner up or he wanted to sell
44:40the joint,
44:41we could go over there and dig a hole, I suppose.
44:46Maybe we'll send you the keynote, Mike.
44:48Yeah.
44:49Yeah.
44:54So, we're going to weigh some gold up or what?
44:56We're almost at 6,000 ounces.
44:58Our goal is 6,500.
44:59To break through his season target six weeks ahead of schedule, Tony needs his three wash plants to deliver 507
45:09ounces.
45:10Okay.
45:11Let's do it.
45:12Pour it in there.
45:12First up, sluice-a-lot running pay dirt from the Indian River's corner cut.
45:1818, 23, 30, up to 40, 50, coming up 60, going once, going twice, 70, 80, 84.76.
45:32We might as well should have stayed home then two days.
45:36You made it sound like an auction.
45:38So, once, going twice.
45:39I'll take it.
45:40Anyway, so what do you got next?
45:42Should we do find-a-lot now?
45:43Find-a-lot ran all week long, also sluicing corner cut pay.
45:49I'll count a lot.
45:5210, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70, 80, 90, 110, 130, 140, 148, 148.96.
46:06Oh, you got more.
46:07150, 170, 100, 200, 220, 230, 250, 270, 278.18.
46:20Getting very close to that season goal.
46:22Pretty nice little haul, isn't it?
46:24Arsenal really want to know what the trommel brought in.
46:27Be interesting to see what we get out of the hill.
46:29To hit Tony's season goal, Mike's trommel needs to bring in 144 ounces.
46:36Y'all ready for this?
46:4010, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 60, 70, 180, 190, 200, 210, 220,
47:00230, 240, 250, 260.
47:07262.14.
47:09That is a good million bucks on the table, guys.
47:12Tony has hauled in a weekly total of 625 ounces.
47:19And that gets us over our season goal.
47:22Oh, there you go.
47:23Woo!
47:24Over our goal.
47:25Tony now has a total of 6,618 ounces, worth a stunning $23 million.
47:45We still have a month or so left, so are we gonna up our goal?
47:50We'll do the best we can and we'll see how far we get.
47:53You and I have to go back to the hill.
47:55You're in a bossy, aren't you?
47:57It is my place.
47:58You'll love me.
47:58You'll love me.
47:59I am not so sure.
48:02Hey!
48:02Oh!
48:03Oh ho ho ho!
48:04Ohhoo, myaph, oh!
48:06Oh ho ho!
