Judo: Heavyweights close Dushanbe in style

The Dushanbe Grand Slam 2026 ended with a thrilling final day for the heavyweights. Mansur Lorsanov, Yelyzaveta Lytvynenko, Fuchun Huang, Asya Tavano and Jakub Sordyl all struck gold as Tajikistan signed off another memorable edition in style.

00:00It's the final day of the Dushanbe Grand Slam here in Tajikistan, and once again the
00:05hordes of judo fans were promised another amazing day of action inside the Kasseri Tennis.
00:12The under 90kg final saw Mansur Lursanov face off against Olympic medalist Theodoros
00:18Salidis.
00:19The close encounter went into golden score, and Lursanov took the victory, judged to have
00:25been more active than his opponent.
00:29Tajikistan judo federation president Mr. Ismoyul Mamadzoyer was on hand to award the medals.
00:36In the under 78kg category, UAE's Yelizaveta Litvinenko was the class act of the category.
00:42The experience difference in the final proved key, as Litvinenko produced a huge ogoshi for
00:48Ippon, a first Grand Slam gold for the talented 22-year-old.
00:54Yeah, so I very love this atmosphere in Dushanbe or in Uzbekistan also, it's like the same.

01:05She was awarded her medal by first deputy chair of the Committee for Youth and Sports under
01:09the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ms. Shabnam Rahimzoda.
01:15At under 100kg, Fu Chen Huang faced Adam Sangariev.
01:20Huang produced a superb ogoshi gari to stun Sangariev and become the first Chinese man to claim
01:27a world tour gold medal in nine years.
01:35Yeah, I feel it's good.
01:37So it's the last year, I'm in here, Dushanbe, I'm bronze medalist, but I feel the silver medal
01:44and gold medalist is very short, so this year, I'm in two heads.
