00:00the announcer Hector Afu from Panama very experienced referee getting a real round of
00:08applause there wonderful to see here we go first up the younger Inoue Takuma defending his WBC
00:17eight stone six belt on this massive event for Japanese sport and what a feat it would be
00:24if Kizuto Ioka can join the list of those legends Barry was saying Tommy Hearns Sugar Ray Leonard
00:32Oscar de la Hoya Floyd Mayweather Manny Pacquiao and most recently a man who is ringside Terence
00:39Crawford to become a five weight king what a start to this stellar 24 hours live on your global home
00:48of boxing the zone the green of Takuma in a way lovely little faint there for the jab there from
00:57Manui and that's going to be the key for Ioka to take away that jab of Anui just take that
01:02confidence away with that left hand but everything comes off that if you can just take away that a
01:07little bit then he'll be able to advance forward with that more erratic style that he has
01:14so experienced Ioka this the 348th round of a professional career that goes back to 2009
01:25can he do it one more time and you you're right it might be last chance saloon he can ill
01:32afford a
01:32defeat probably at this stage nice jab from Inoue just getting settled
01:38it looks really focused now he's in the ring doesn't he okay this is a little more there's
01:43a little faint a little stutter before he throws the jab then I mean I just because
01:47because it was really really tight and looking to explode like he always does our combinations
01:51of your work at times but the little move when before he throws a jab there from Manui
01:56it's just slowing him down Ioka
02:02two orthodox fighters
02:06vastly experienced there's that jab again from Inoue right hand back from Ioka he'll come in and
02:16starts in combinations in little bursts there's the jab that gets going but Inoue's got a lovely jab
02:25looking for the upper gun as well it's a good start from Inoue but here's Ioka it's where he wants
02:31him
02:32yeah this is better isn't it rattling in those body shots want to try and back him up
02:37can't go get the accuracy on board yet Ioka but he is trying to walk Inoue down though
02:43he's not he's not really pushing him back but there's a little bit of features pushing him back
02:47just look at the shoulders though and how much more relaxed Inoue is he's stiff and static the
02:53challenger trying to get the hands flowing doesn't look like maybe he's quite warmed up enough
03:00Inoue certainly commanding the ring in this first round
03:07again that's still a little movement before he throws that left hand and the right hand to follow there from
03:11Inoue
03:14not far off with that right hand there Ioka
03:16yeah cameos in this first round from Ioka but more steady organized and disciplined from Takuma Inoue
03:36Ishmael Salas legendary trainer of course in the blue corner and there is dad Shingo
03:48in with uh one of his sons Takuma they'll be happy I think with that first round they might
03:56want to be a little bit more assertive I think maybe step behind the jabs with more weight on
04:00that left hand and maybe get that right hand to play a little bit more but I think they know
04:05he was quite
04:06comfortable there I thought busy enough without overexerting himself and it's on it's on this guy
04:13now just be a little bit more maybe let the hands go a little more looser on the shoulders like
04:18you already
04:18mentioned there Adam Takuma Inoue defending his WBC 118 pound championship in the black and green with
04:29those white boots the red and black with the long black socks I love that old-fashioned way for Kizuto
04:35Ioka it's a great look he's won world titles at strawweight light flyweight flyweight and super flyweight
04:45can he become a bantamweight ruler and join the list of greats here good work from Inoue lovely feet and
04:53he's found his timing spot on and he needed to right at the start yeah timing's really good really good
05:02he then he threw the jay miss with the one jab that just went again didn't he
05:06there's a body shots as he gets closer
05:10Kizuto Ioko got 17 knockouts on the slate but how big a puncher will he be
05:15at bantamweight he won't worry about Inoue's power but he's got to worry about the skills that are in
05:21front of him you gotta worry that he's not so many wrongs behind that he's that he's forcing things by
05:25chasing the fight he's having a little bit of success he's not enough he's trying to steal the
05:30space you can see it there just inching forward he's waiting too long he wants to get a little bit
05:35too close to let his hands go and that's why when Inoue at the time quite often not always to
05:40let his
05:41hands go be first and move so you've got to take that option away from Inoue you've got to force
05:46him to
05:46hold his feet and fire with you the thing about the Inoue brothers is not just that they are so
05:52drilled in discipline but they have speed and they have class and the way they generally manage the ring
06:00is very impressive that jab is working sweetly so far for uh takuma tonight
06:12that's where he wants him the body shot hunting but there's no conviction in the punches here no
06:17i i understand what he wants to touch touch touch maybe to throw a big shot but it didn't come
06:22the big shot there was from in a way with the right hand as well just prizing the gap open
06:27and
06:27you wonder at 37 happy reflexes just slowed slightly tries to get his own jab going ioka it's such a
06:35massive
06:36night for him as well as the Inoue brothers what a stage for him to possibly become a five weight
06:44world champion but he's on the end of this really good jab in the first couple of rounds yeah and
06:52to be taking punches then to to to be able to walk a guy to the ropes this is what
06:57he's doing
06:57not right now ioka but to get him on the ropes and not making pay for that all that work
07:01you've done to
07:02get in there and then not that your hands will be conviction you're not going to win the fight that
07:06way that's the second right hand that's landed really crisply and cleanly from in a way who just
07:13is reading this beautifully so far and he's down at the end of the second round and look at celebration
07:19already from takuma in a way who has made an explosive start to his wbc defense here the bell's gonna
07:28come
07:28come any second kazuto ioka needs to get back to ishmael salas in that corner double quick what a start
07:35for in a way there was a right double kick come screw shot that started that for me he just
07:43moved
07:43up the ropes he threw that right down through the middle and then through another combination straight
07:47after ioka was hurt with the first shot oh that shot i didn't see that one over the top i
07:52saw this i saw the next one
07:53no i knew he heard it with that first right hand didn't he just followed up and every punch landed
08:02didn't it splitting the guard open defense splayed and in goes in a way well he looks like the power
08:10puncher his brother is that's just the speed and time in there and get knowing where you are at all
08:15time so let your hands go and ioka looks a little bit just a little bit slow paced isn't he
08:19he's getting
08:20there and not really throwing with any acceleration in his work and paid the price there what a start
08:25here from inouye they're only up boxing the guy putting him down four defeats on his long record but
08:32he's never been stopped bell can't save you under the rules but he needed the bell for that minute
08:39respite is it long enough it's so early and inouye will have all the confidence he's smiling at his
08:47foe and his opponent his challenger for the world bantamweight title the jab has been the weapon so
08:55far the precision and just looks like he's incredibly accurate tonight barry and he's just controlling the
09:02action controlling the space even if he is being pushed back it's under no real pressure he's happy to
09:07give that crown of the week but he's able to spin off all the time oh uppercut and he's floored
09:12him
09:13again down for the second time kazuto ioka and i don't know whether he's going to get through this
09:1945 seconds gone on the clock and it is absolute drama here in the tokyo dome as kazuto ioka somehow
09:32has to
09:33get through the storm and these punches are raining in on him and it is the crisp quality speed of
09:41inouye
09:42and again he rocks him he's just not seeing the punches coming it is the speed but the timing of
09:47the
09:47shots as well he's punching right through the target inouye but that uppercut was a beautiful shot
09:52so we knew he's got to keep the pressure on here but also not try and force enough that he's
09:56allowing
09:56inouye into the fight by taking the shot it's a fusion of the fact that inouye is putting on one
10:03of his best performance and maybe father time is catching up with kazuto ioka because he can't read
10:11inouye the younger man the fresher man who's been pinpoint with the jab two knockdowns already
10:20within the first quarter of this fight let's just say he's lying about for that right hand you can
10:25see it just little movements back there and he's almost inviting him to come forward and i think at
10:30bantamweight as well these punches are having more of an effect
10:37it's just technique and timing that's what it is here for for onouye
10:44i think i only knows the one way doesn't he he does but he can't effective with it but he
10:50can't
10:50really get close enough because every time he's being countered or he's being steered off with that
10:55jab that right hand looking so dangerous he's got to do something here ioka needs another corner interval
11:03and then he's got to try and throw the dice and roll into inouye who has been excellent so far
11:11good
11:11defense there good off the ropes there good spin there to get back in the center of the ring there
11:19just just no speed in the work of the movement the feet anything from ioka is there and that's the
11:23problem here the feet look flat-footed you're absolutely spot on he's trying to get too close
11:28he's trying to get too close to attack and usually that that's usually when you can't find your judgment
11:32the distance and i think he's struggling right now he looks a weary soldier as he goes back to his
11:36corner just dabs at the right eye there nothing much to worry about for inouye it's been three
11:40excellent rounds here's ishmael salas trying to calm him down i'm not sure if that's right i think
11:48they've got to maybe g him up because he's got to have some success here or he's going to be
11:52taken out
11:54yeah but he's got to get close to the tag but when he gets us a lovely shot again that
11:58touching and pouring
11:59with the jab i never have found it at the best of times but there's no real speed in that
12:04in that
12:04jab he's pushing out trying to close the distance but there's no threat with anything he's doing so that's not
12:09going to put
12:10in the way under pressure it's just allowing him time to dip the shoulder and will take the body
12:15through with that nice lovely uppercut brilliant shot really well delivered there from inouye
12:22he is and he's been the 12 round distance on the last three occasions
12:28for his uh latest knockout win you've got to go back to february 2024 against joe and then catch us
12:34in
12:34tokyo here that was in nine but uh what a start he has made to this defense on the glitziest
12:44night in
12:45japanese boxing history and at the moment takuma inouye is um well finding the performance of his career
12:53yeah and when you're up against a boxer who's technically better than you which in who he is
12:59it's forced them to throw when they don't want to throw make them make them fight at a higher
13:02place that's great yeah right you've got to make it uncomfortable for even if you're getting cold you've
13:07got to make it uncomfortable for him he's walking onto shots here isn't he at the minute barry you say
13:11technically better because it's ahoka a four weight world champion yeah but i don't mean he's a better fighter
13:16and all i just but the way the form that i know he has the technique makes him technically that
13:22but
13:22much of a better boxer snapping the head back catching him almost at will the shoulders still
13:30not relaxed at all and the right hands going in he's a sitting duck at times ioka but he got
13:37him where
13:37he had him he wanted him he got him in the corner that's where he wants to go that's where
13:40he has
13:41his hands go he just can't get that kick start can he quite pull the trigger kazuto ioka at this
13:50stage he comes back with a left hand that was better just needs something to rock in a way and
13:57to change the pattern of this fight which is an exciting one but there's weights in the shots of
14:03there's no speed in them so i don't see how they if i know even if you can't go away
14:08you'll be able to
14:08see at the brace for the shot so you've got to have a little bit of acceleration in those punches
14:12and for the minute it's not there just waiting through treagle at times you feel kazuto ioka but
14:24if you can land some body shots and just slow down the momentum the pace of in aways work
14:32he's been a little bit less active here anyway but i think he's looking for that shot he's trying to
14:36walk him onto another another right hand you've just got to be a mindful here and we're not to
14:41forget that jab there that it's just that's the right hand though that's what he was waiting for
14:47like i said the start of the con the start of the fight they always got to take that jab
14:51away from
14:52him he's got to take it away it hasn't done that yet better from ioka though trapped in the neutral
14:58corner there if he can get in a way up against the ropes rattle in some heavy hooks this is
15:05the best
15:06round he's had so far kazuto ioka having been on the canvas in the second and third and in a
15:13way
15:13fighting fire with fire a bit this one really heating up
15:19he's having a much better round here i think i think he's just took his foot off the gas that
15:22we're trying to walk him onto a shop and he's allowed to i'll get a little bit back into the
15:26wrong
15:27he's still been catching shots coming forward man
15:30we're showing real resilience there kazuto ioka having his best session and the crowd really
15:37appreciating that
15:48with that a lot of ioka to get close close enough let his hands go still lacks our speed and
15:54maybe the
15:55the sharpness in the shots but he's plenty of weight in the punches and he finished that wrong quite
16:00strong there didn't ioka so you knew they're just calling him on not in any danger maybe he might have
16:06lost that round
16:14certainly give him some confidence and he needed it
16:19this challenge for the world bantamweight title kazuto ioka the 37 year old in the red and beige
16:3032 four and one the record over the years with 17 knockouts can he do it though at
16:38eight stone six that's the big question on the floor in the second and third round by the
16:43sharp shooting takuma in a way trying to get one on the list the victory column for the brothers
16:53at the tokyo dome
17:02it's better from in a way who just took a round off there in the fourth
17:10just the difference in sharpness against the two with the two components here night and day isn't it
17:17yeah it's the speed the foot movement agility
17:22he's all with the champion he's put himself on the ropes more than he should do in the last couple
17:29of rounds i mean let the guy push you back and you are walking him on the shots but always
17:34put yourself in the center of the ring give yourself two or three steps before he gets you back to
17:39the
17:39ropes and allows you more time to throw your shots gives you more options to move side to side
17:44we've got open scoring in this one the wbc commission after four rounds 40 34
17:52ahead in a way on one card 39 35
17:57on the other two so yes a couple of them giving that fourth round obviously to ioka as i think
18:04we
18:04did as well barry yeah he's back on the horse here though isn't he anyway dominant without without
18:10doing loads here but just enough catching ioka coming forward and then not holding his feet as much
18:16as he did in that previous round i think that's the key just know what you do we say it
18:21all the time
18:21what you do after the punch not taking punches coming back that's the jab again back to basics
18:29for in a way this isn't the tactic of making it anyway works he always walking and going i just
18:37think this needs to be more of a pressure this is much better again from in a way and there's
18:42a swagger
18:44inside the last minute of the fifth round jabs getting through right hands you mentioned the second
18:49round that relaxes shoulders out so the punches allowed to throw the flow i should say
18:56yeah he looks at ease doesn't he at home in there and enjoying himself
19:00kazuto ioka very courageous getting up off the floor showing his resilience he wants this big time
19:08ishmael salas holding his hand up for five the five weight world champion if he can get past in a
19:15way
19:15he's sweet fists here tonight and at the moment takuma has got it back totally under control it's another
19:23good round for the champion
19:44yeah he establishes dominance again didn't he in that round a new way again just a little bit more
19:49active with the hands don't look bust in the gut his feet are constantly moving so that's going to
19:54tide him out a bit but and he and he does want to walk around the shots but keep that
20:00jab active
20:01all the time and then put yourself in the center like i said back to the center ring gives you
20:06an exit out
20:06always well what an end to the 24 hours ahead later tonight the chinkanamayo showdown wba and wbo world
20:18cruiserweight titles david benavidez on that top 10 pound for pound list against zero ramirez live from
20:27vegas wow what a 24-hour feast of boxing in front from japan from britain from america there's only the
20:39hors d'oeuvre but it could be the main event the wbc bantamweight championship on the line world
20:45class boxing four-way champion kazuto ioka coming forward inching forward in the beige trunks on the
20:54right of your screens and the green white and black of the champion takuma inouye only lost a couple of
21:01times 21 victories and uh boxing really well tonight at times looking every bit as good as his brother
21:11big statement but he's technically is always good again his elbows have never flayed open his hands
21:19are always nice and high he always punches right down the just to turn his body i always say you
21:23inside your body frame with the punches you have to turn into the shots and he does that always
21:30very good fighter in his own right yes maybe lacking the power but a couple of knockdowns here
21:36and some confidence but back comes ioka trying to target the body and really get into the ribs that's
21:45what the uh the elder in a way does so well doesn't he to the body with that power that
21:51monstrous power
21:52and here uh ioka trying just to get forward and rattle in the body shots he just doesn't have the
22:00pop in
22:00his shots is he at the minute again i might just be age where your fast twitch fibers are not
22:05what they
22:05once were so you can really explode with your shots he's walking him down and you know if the planet's
22:13trying to make an away workout and tie him down the stretch but it's a big act you've got to
22:19win the
22:19rounds if you if you're able i think he's trying to win the rounds i knew he's just too sharp
22:24for him
22:24it's too sharp at the moment but we're not halfway and uh in a way supposed lack of uh the
22:31big dig
22:31even though he's got a couple of knockdowns so far mike jasper by yo karan he's really got a bite
22:38down on the gum shield this is where he wants him backed up in the corners on the ropes but
22:43in a way clever
22:44out he goes
22:48just having some fun in there just showing him who's boss just has to hold on to the rope there
22:56lost
22:56his balance ioka doesn't need that boxing really healthier much better from the center of the ring
23:05much better there's a joy to watch at times isn't he when he gets that space and the movement and
23:12you
23:12can see the in a way brains ticking his dad in the corner i mean they just must be so
23:20proud of his
23:20boys and how they've developed over the years and utterly respectful disciplined and a joy to watch
23:28some lovely shot selection here if i'm in a way
23:34he had his success in that round ioka but not enough
23:43i don't want to say he's getting old overnight i mean but you can see he's doing the stuff
23:49that maybe you know he's doing like he's walking forward he's letting his hands go but there's no
23:54speed in the shots anymore and that's just that might be age it just might be one of those things
23:59you just can't put like you said the pop in his punches can't pull the trigger like he used to
24:03which
24:04just makes him makes you bother what what happens then you get too close you wait too long you let
24:09the
24:09guy fight at first but also when you do let your hands go you can't punch with him because he's
24:13much
24:14five foot four and a half he's a little fighter who's gone through the weights normally
24:21the lighter weight fighters don't last as long and he was born in the 80s it's a long career
24:28and for in a way born at the end of 1995 and really in his prime at 30. it's a
24:37it's a tough ask
24:38it is and he knew that but you know and sometimes you don't know it so you get in the
24:42ring training
24:43goes well good shot but there's a nice one second half of this one wbc bantamweight
24:50tied along the line he hasn't got rid of him that's the good news if you're team ioka because
24:56takuma in a way at those knockdowns in the second and third there's the left hand
25:00coming in to play again about three left hooks and a jab and an uppercut an uppercut that floored
25:06him for the second time and almost did it again in the opening minute of the seventh in a way
25:13ramping
25:14it up again you see the turn of pace when he when he when he lands with a good shot
25:18in the in a way
25:18the difference between the two fighters he lands with an uppercut the first competition the uppercut
25:23left hook then there uppercut uppercuts and then it's accelerated into his work i love the way he
25:28accelerates and goes through the gears and lets the hands fly and it's the left that's doing the damage
25:35in the seventh trying to push they'll go back here as well and that'll be a real telling factor on
25:41his
25:41intent well if ioka gets uh backed up i think it's game over i think he stops him ioka's got
25:47to keep
25:48coming and trying to reduce that space he's got he's gonna knock him out to stop him i mean he
25:56won't i
25:57over get it i think you know i might start targeting the body here i think he's intent on getting
26:06a knockout
26:07statement on his big brother's big night
26:12to be fair he hasn't really gone to the party has he and there are gaps there so right that's
26:17the
26:17shot he's looking for he dips a head over to the left because ioka doesn't square his feet up he
26:21squares his body up when he gets close to you and anu is just dipping to the left and throwing
26:26that
26:26right hand almost like throwing an old like a looping shot because he dips his head over it looks straight
26:31his timing in his range has been superb in this seventh back comes ioka just a reminder a combination
26:38but in a way in every department is a step ahead some speed in them shots there from ioka for
26:46the
26:47first time i would argue well he's got to let the hands go barry i think he's trying to but
26:51i think
26:51nobody he's almost not going through the motions but it feels like he's going through his repertoire not of
26:58respect for the first time there from in a way just better from ioka almost like he needs to be
27:05woken up jolted into action it's been a great seventh round yeah it has yeah i knew he was so
27:12impressive for the first two minutes let's just close the gap a bit good shot again that little dip it's
27:20just it's just disguised it a little dip down and then over the top of the right hand there from
27:25in a way just the accuracy more with in a way that left hook that started the seventh finishes it
27:31it's another round in the bank for the champion
27:37i would say there was good feet there from ioka though because even though i knew he looked to
27:41explode he still spanned with him so didn't allow him to beat him up ioka had that good fourth round
27:48and he had good spells in that one but he's just not dominant enough he's not and it is the
27:54timing
27:54the speed and and i would say the focus and concentration of a new is keeping him on top here
28:01for sure age is a big factor but i mean that's not that's lovely little bit of footwork there from
28:08a new
28:08way but i hope we're trying to spin with him i think i kept him a little bit safe there
28:12before the bell but a new
28:14massively dominant and past the halfway stage now he is the street ahead you would think the big egg
28:20they call this the tokyo dome of course the place with one of the biggest maybe the biggest upset in
28:27boxing history when james buster douglas burst the mike tyson bubble i was in america that day i was at
28:36university barry and i remember big american footballers in floods of tears when mike tyson lost
28:44that night i was in university as well that day cleaning the windows
28:51what a night that was though wasn't it buster douglas shocking the world unbelievable you
28:55you would put a penny on it by the way buster was a good fighter before that but you've nowhere
28:59near the
28:59level of sight of mike tyson he was down he was down early doors and got up to win although
29:04it was a long
29:04count that he got the victory over tyson can kazuto ioko who's been on the seat of his pants a
29:11couple of
29:12times already somehow claw his way back he's a mile behind on the cards we have the open scoring we'll
29:21know
29:21after the eighth round where we are but there can be no real difference in the pattern of this fight
29:26the world championship at the moment is staying right with takuma inouye some of the some of the shots
29:34he's landed in this this round already have been beautiful here from anuwe really have
29:42dropped that left-handed up and i'll just get a little bit more looser trying to give him more speed
29:46than his work here at anuwe body shot there mayoka
29:55we're getting the feet to let them down out they can't get till the target quick enough
30:01it's better a little bit of a body movement there for mayoka just trying to disguise your work a little
30:05bit more then you get caught with a couple of jabs through the middle one's partially blocked one
30:10prizes the golden gloves apart and that right hand it's this speed and movement the agility
30:18of inouye that's causing ioka so many problems it's just a bit of everything isn't it it's the
30:26up in weight it's the age factor and it's the dazzling skills tonight of takuma inouye yeah but i mean
30:34to be
30:34fair the pressure hasn't been intense enough to really put him under any sort of panic here anyway so he'll
30:39be thinking this is the perfect style for me like someone's coming forward walking onto the shots and
30:45we're looking for him there's no real massive danger really because there's not enough speed in the
30:49punch we don't see it coming yet i wonder though after a couple of years of not getting a stoppage
30:57win
30:58and uh having that mantra of being a bit of a powder puff puncher compared to his brother
31:03whether takuma might want to try and enforce a late stoppage here here he comes again
31:11backed up on the ropes no not coming back from ioka there because of a body movement though he evaded
31:16most of those shots in ioka i mean he needs that body movement when he's coming forward it not only
31:21gives you a hard time to hit it gives you momentum a bit of leverage and throw the shots
31:25all right hand though squeaking through and just getting harder and harder for kazuto ioka
31:36what weapons has he got to win this fight he's running out of time
31:46all calm in that corner shingo inoue the dad and wow if we think this is a big 24 hours
31:57ahead
31:58arguably the most intriguing fight of 2026 so far do not blink the huge heavyweight punches that are
32:10fabio wardley and triple d daniel dubois it really is an absolute cracker from manchester next
32:21saturday live exclusive on the zone i still can't believe that fabio and daniel have agreed to it
32:29and frank warren has got away with making it i mean they've not got in the ring yet but they're
32:34going to
32:34oh it's a man which by the way i know everyone's writing off to the world to be honest but
32:41he
32:41technically is the better boxer i mean i'm favoring um wardley and i am but like daniel
32:46is on his job i was talking to some people about it this week everybody seems to be going with
32:51fabio
32:52wardley right daniel dubois off at your peril very very technically good boxer just switch back to what
32:59happened against aj in front of 95 000 people at wembley yes he lost to usik but then everyone
33:05does don't write off daniel in this fight even if you've got fabio a slight favorite can we write
33:11off kazuto iraoka here he's still trying he's still getting close but he's got to make a dent quickly
33:19yeah but he hasn't been any danger of getting really hurt for the for quite a few rounds now i
33:24mean that might change how i've said that unfortunately for him but so he just lacks that
33:29speed i mean and it's been massively evident and that's been a huge difference here and you know
33:35when someone can't get it right when they can sort of kick in the gears and i've said it before
33:40he's just looking to get too close and taking too long let his hands go
33:44and for the new way that's just a gift open scoring is with us 80 70 on one of the
33:50cards 79 71 on the
33:53other two i think we can all do the maths it's the ninth round definitively kazuto ioka needs the knock
34:01out he needs some knock downs he needs something to get him this fifth weight
34:12accolade and it doesn't look likely at the moment i mean it's an illustrious list it's a very very hard
34:18ask and at the moment takuma inouye defending his world bantamweight championship and the question is
34:26will he glide his way home or will he go again hard at ioka he knows he can hurt him
34:34but can he finish
34:36him but he hurt him with a surprise attack with good technique and timing it wasn't with he hasn't
34:42got that raw power so he has to be stick to your game plan keep your shape don't make any
34:47mistakes walk
34:48him onto the shot and if you hurt him then then maybe go for it but i mean we don't
34:52have raw power
34:53you'd be foolish to make a mistake and draw the guy into the fight
35:01right now everything's in the news famous controlling most of the path even though i hope
35:06is always pushing pushing forward it's still box at the pace that the noise comfortable at those right
35:13hands that catch him and the jab that has been um very good well schooled tonight
35:20has kept him in control a calmer quieter round but inouye knows everything is going to plan
35:29if you take a round off you still win the round
35:40there is the applause at ringside family and friends
35:44wonder what uh noise thinking backstage
35:48in the dressing room he'll be delighted it's the best result for him so far isn't it because
35:52brother's boxing well as we know he hasn't really taken any punches of any notes
35:57it's really in the last room as long as he hasn't really taken any punches at all he's breezing to
36:02a
36:02victory so he'll be relaxed though he'll he'll be half watching this rather fully immersed
36:11and same for the dad now all you gotta do though is just keep his boy focused and concentrate you
36:15haven't got to give him any massive advice about trying to change the fight now just keep it the way
36:20it's keeping keep your focus keep your discipline and you'll win the fight
36:24it unless i hope to show stuff something different i'm not sure this age he has that
36:30nope it could be the end of the road at this sort of level for kazute ioka as for the
36:37boxing brothers
36:39the inouye's wow we've had the kameda brothers of course koki held the wbo title didn't need tomoki
36:48and uh daiki kameda around about about 10 15 years ago
36:53solid right hand there from anouye again a little pause before he lets his hands go he's loved that
37:01shot how's he tonight yeah he really has yeah you almost sometimes he'll land with the jab and then
37:08throw that right hand other times he throws that jab a little bit short on purpose to make you walk
37:13onto
37:13that right hand short stabbing couple of shots to the body as well here from inouye i wonder if
37:22he'll coast or he'll want to try and make a a statement and finish this in some style late on
37:32but
37:32kazuta ioka still plugging away i mean what will ishmael salas be saying he's got to throw absolutely
37:38everything now hasn't he i think he's gonna throw before he gets too close and then once you and then
37:43and just keep throwing you might not miss with the first one just throw step throw step throw step
37:50his feet haven't been as swift his defense hasn't been as tight and with a couple of good right hands
37:56in this round though he's not within the round but some things to maybe give a little bit of hope
38:00a little
38:00bit of success it's got to be sustained just looks out of the crowd there takuma needs to keep
38:05focused keep concentrated on the job in hand it's not done yet no that and that's the most important
38:14path like he does so well i really don't know the structure that he has the hand elbows collecting
38:19tight hands almost always high touching from the shoulder yeah the structure that's that's a great line
38:28i mean this is from years and years isn't it honing your body going over the drills
38:35yeah but we look we all train for years and years and years under pressure when you're tired to keep
38:41your shape it's massively hard to do look at that jab just almost put it back on his heels there
38:47and hurt
38:47ioka 45 left of the 10th round blood from the nose it must be getting hard here for the challenger
38:56he's spearing shots
39:00yeah he just can't pull the trigger can you see him he's getting close he's working there he just can
39:07let his hands go tries the uppercut this is brave again and not a respect from in a way but
39:12he's back behind that jab there's no continuity is effort for i think he's getting tired as well
39:20i think he's sort of falling in a bit here ioka and in a way if he wants to put
39:27his foot on the pedal
39:28this is the time to walk onto the right hand here
39:33that's a weary walk back to the corner and there's six minutes still to go
39:39it's surely just a question of whether takuma inouye wins on points or dramatically inside schedule
39:49lovely movement there from the way landed with that shot then and taking that feet spinning around the
39:53target it's a favorite of mine that is just put you look at that puts him in a safe place
39:58you can't
39:58you can land he can hit you he's got a turn if he's away he wasn't aware that's a bit
40:03also it gives you a
40:04free shot as well his feet have been really good the distance just the distance has been good the
40:10jab has been excellent following me the speed the timing well he's he's up against a guy who can't
40:15find that speed in himself anymore so that's helped him look a little bit better possibly you've still
40:20got to do the work and on paper beforehand people were giving plenty of uh chances to kazuto ioka
40:27coming up in wait yes the four defeats yes not in the form that he once was but
40:33come the defeats on inouye's record two
40:37even though a favorite going in inouye ioka not without a chance but he got to him early
40:44those knockdowns in the second and third and bar a couple of rounds it's been really dominant this
40:51from takuma inouye and that tenth was a very good one for him and i just felt that ioka was
40:57running out
40:57of steam running out of ideas not maybe out of heart but look at this when he starts to put
41:02the
41:03combinations together there's the left hand again and you feel if he could do this early in the round
41:09and sustain it he could force the stoppage yeah but i don't think he's going to break break his
41:14the character here break his mode everything's working for him you see there iogo's got him on
41:18the ropes there where he wanted to and he threw the right hand to be fair from the right distance
41:22because we're a little bit slower that was that was the entry point there for the new
41:27to throw that combination like you were just talking about and push him back will his dad be saying
41:31get home son 12 rounds or will he say put the icing on the game i don't think so i
41:37think it's just
41:38just don't if discipline so important just keep your shape don't do anything stupid i mean i don't
41:45i mean people will argue you know it's a it's a you're meant to sell yourself and it's an entertainment
41:50sport but the winning is everything ioka going for it here backing up inouye on the ropes says come on
41:58then
41:58let's have a bit of a scrap in these last couple of rounds entertain the fans he's a mile up
42:03on
42:04points in a way just unless he gets careless or tired suddenly but ioka to his credit hasn't given up
42:12yeah he's really trying i just think he just can't find it anymore i feel that's what it looks like
42:18to me
42:18i knew he's boxing really well the movement's fantastic but even when i knew he's on the ropes
42:23it isn't like any danger for him either that's the truth you never feel the jeopardy
42:28you when he's when he's back at his backs on the rope where there should be some sort of jab
42:33yep shooting out the jab just retaining authority when he can in a way must be feeling
42:40the pace as well he's put a real shift in two last minute of the 11th round it's been a
42:46good watch
42:46hasn't it yeah put a shift in when things are going your way it's certainly different to put a
42:50shifting and things aren't they really are that the endorphins are when you do everything's working for you
42:57just gives you that extra little 10 percent makes you freaky refresher
43:03compared to ioka he has not coming forward but just no
43:10urgency i think he's trying to find you i don't think he can find it no i think the uh
43:14the legs are not
43:16what they once were the reflexes the rhythm hasn't been there tonight unfortunately for kazuto ioka
43:23his uh courage and heart don't question that at all and he's still trying deep into this 12 rounder
43:31but he's got three minutes to somehow come out with a miracle because takuma inouye is in complete
43:38control well we've never seen that before have we
43:44someone with someone with a fight they're getting beat totally beat in the last round
43:48but it doesn't look like that's the truth yeah but it's success there and they're heavy shots and
43:52they look better i think in slow motion than they did in real time i don't ever feel that
43:57i knew he's been in any danger at all this fight on top of the bill later conor walker out
44:02in monaco
44:02against pat mcormack yeah came right back in the last round didn't he so you never know but
44:08kazuta ioka it looks like he's a beaten man in that corner looks like he knows
44:16with the open scoring as well
44:20he has to knock him out three minutes is all he has or the dream of becoming a five weight
44:27king
44:29will go four weights i mean he'll have plenty to tell his grandkids about terrific career hasn't he but
44:37we could be watching the the final the dying embers of a brilliant career and the beige kazuto ioka it's
44:45been a wonderful performance from the champion to kuma inouye the younger brother of the main man
44:52who's coming up a little bit later in the fight for the ages i think he's hurt him a few
45:00times in
45:01this fight down in the second down in the third look at him opening up here and now it is
45:06inouye who
45:07maybe does want the dramatic finish he almost teases this doesn't he in the first minute of rounds
45:13yeah he starts fast you got to start fast and finish fast that's the secret that's the sugary
45:18leonard way of winning fights i'm sure when he's up against him with the weight deficit you're not
45:22all like sugar ray leonard
45:25what a fighter he was five weight champion himself along with tommy hearns oscar de la joie main with
45:33a packing out the legends of the spawn and maybe kazuta ioka won't go down as that he will in
45:39japan of
45:40course maybe a hall of fame absolutely at some point but he's been second best tonight inouye with that
45:50jab that right hand the movement the judgment of distance the way he's controlled the ring
45:56enjoyed himself as well as well i think yeah you mentioned earlier in the fight i'll relax his shoulders
46:01well i just feel he felt like you know he's ever going to slow than he once used to be
46:05and he exploited that to the max if you go back to the ring walks the intensity on the face
46:10of kazuta
46:10ioka but the almost the relaxed way that takuma came into battle he was talking to some of the fans
46:19and
46:20he's boxed like that he's boxed like a man who knows that he's a notch higher that knows that he's
46:26in
46:27the pomp of his career and he's enjoyed himself final minute of what's been arguably the best performance
46:35in the career so far of takuma inouye certainly on the biggest stage and he's delivering some
46:42wonderful shots he's got a couple of knockdowns as well maybe he won't get the knockout barry but
46:49brilliant tonight no those those they were timing and speed rather than raw power those
46:53knockdowns they were good shots but i think he doesn't have that massive raw strength and he'd be a fool
46:59now to really try and go for it i think he's still trying to walk down to that right hand
47:04trying
47:04to encourage i hope to throw square his feet if he can throw that right hand on the middle
47:08i mean he's just been really good that little that little movement before he throws the jab
47:13has been a real favorite of mine he really has too young too fast too fresh too classy finishing where
47:23he
47:23started last ten of a brilliant dazzling performance from takuma inouye the younger brother has done his job
47:34it's over to you nahoya in about 45 minutes time can his brother deliver his very finest and what a
47:46night
47:46it will be for the family your heart goes out to team ioka to ishmael salas and the guys in
47:55that corner
47:56they know they have been beaten and they have been beaten wide by a wonderful takuma inouye tonight and
48:04there's the smiles and now he can relax now he can get his belt go back to the dressing room
48:10give his
48:11brother all the love the support and he's ready he'll be ready to watch his dad will be rushing back
48:19i should imagine to the changing room now to prepare for the more important fight how can it be it's
48:27been
48:27a world title defense and now it's a it's a super fight if his brother performs half as good as
48:34that
48:36then it's a it's a it's a performance of the ages against nakatani so you got a lot to live
48:41up to
48:41i thought i knew it was fantastic i think i hope it was made for him in the end this
48:45version of ioka
48:46was made for him a slower more prodding version and just couldn't really pull that trigger so which
48:53allowed you to know let the guy walk onto your shoulder pretty much but you still gotta keep that
48:57feet moving you still gotta keep that concentration without that you are going to be drawn into a war
49:02his fitness is immense his structure is fantastic and i thought he boxed brilliant i really did
49:08phantom weight division is a busy one
49:14suma medina niga vargas jose salas
49:47judge
49:50WBCSekai Bantamweight Champion, Inoue Takuma!
49:56That couldn't have been more comprehensive by 10, by 12, and by 14 points on one card.
50:06120 to 106. Follow that big bro. Takuma does his job.
50:14He's still the World Bantamweight Champion. Can Nahoya retain his four belts up at Super Bantam?
50:2550% of the way there for the family.
50:28No pressure there. I mean, I think that was the perfect result of the panel there.
50:33It was a danger-free result there. Nothing really troubled Inoue.
50:39Even when he was on the ropes, it never looked like any sort of danger at all.
50:43Cruiser victory. He was in total control.
50:45So there was no real worry for the dad.
50:47No real worry for the brother watching as he's in the dressing room getting ready for his fight.
50:50Why don't you tell me?
50:50That's just like an alien thing to do.
50:50They're the person who looks like to call me.
50:50No.
