00:00Thousands of remote islands with an incredible and mysterious past.
00:07That entire region of islands is a treasure chest for ancient mysteries and mythologies.
00:14The Pacific Islands boast dozens of towering stone structures.
00:19It is fascinating that there's so little land mass,
00:24and yet cultures were building gigantic megalithic sites.
00:30And countless local legends tell of otherworldly visitors.
00:34The Pacific Islands are littered with rock art of giant beings
00:38with enormous hands and feet that have six fingers and six toes.
00:42Could it be that the islands of the Pacific
00:45hold the remnants of a lost alien civilization?
00:50We have to wonder if there were extraterrestrials on some of these islands.
01:12In the western Pacific Ocean, spread out over three and a half million square miles,
01:18is a vast region of more than 10,000 islands.
01:23Often referred to as Oceania,
01:26these remote islands are separated by great distances
01:29and inhabited by a diverse group of people
01:33descended from various parts of East Asia and South America.
01:37While unique in many ways,
01:41the islanders share many of the same traditions and cultural practices
01:45that go back thousands of years.
01:49Oceania includes the areas of Austronesia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.
02:00This is made up of not just hundreds but thousands of violins,
02:05all of which are interlinked by peoples
02:09who could navigate from one corner of it to the other and back again.
02:14And this tells us that there was a maritime culture that existed
02:19possibly as much as 5,000 years ago.
02:23Traditionally, in archaeological terms,
02:26it's said that people came possibly from the Americas.
02:29Other people say they came over from various parts of Asia.
02:34What's interesting is that these islands share connections
02:39going back tens of thousands of years,
02:42which suggests somehow they had contact with each other.
02:48In Oceania, we have what we might call this ocean lens.
02:53This ocean lens we call ba-sa.
02:55Ba meaning the space that relates.
02:59We're talking about interconnections between people,
03:03between people and land,
03:05between people and the cosmos,
03:08between people and inanimate objects like stones or monoliths.
03:12Those two are living entities that are part of our cultural world.
03:18The concept is an ancient one,
03:21something that our communities across this region
03:24have lived by for so many centuries.
03:27For the people of Oceania,
03:30integral to their history and cultural identity
03:33are the massive stone monoliths and megalithic structures
03:37that can be found on many of the islands.
03:40While mainstream archaeologists believe,
03:43most of these structures were built within the past 2,000 years,
03:48the indigenous people suggest the megaliths are from a much earlier time,
03:53when legends say their ancestors shared these islands with non-human entities.
04:01An example can be found on the Hawaiian island of Maui.
04:06Located in the northeast corner of Oceania,
04:10this popular tourist destination
04:12features one of the largest ancient megalithic structures
04:15in the Pacific islands.
04:18Called Pi'i Lanihale Heau,
04:20this massive temple on Maui's east coast
04:23covers an area of more than 130,000 square feet.
04:29Pi'i Lanihale Heaui is 341 feet wide,
04:33it's up to 50 feet high,
04:35it has different levels,
04:36and it's almost like a pyramid platform-type structure.
04:41While many scholars date the construction of this temple
04:44to the 13th century AD,
04:47Hawaiian oral traditions suggest Pi'i Lanihale Heau
04:51is many centuries older.
04:53But why would the ancient people of Hawaii
04:56build such a massive stone structure,
04:59one capable of withstanding the earthquakes
05:01that occur frequently on these volcanic islands?
05:05One thing that's interesting about this temple in Maui
05:08is that it was where the indigenous people
05:11went to meet and greet the gods.
05:13What's further intriguing about this
05:15is that scattered all across Oceania
05:18are sites just like this.
05:21These structures are connected to so-called sky gods,
05:26celestial deities interacting with the local people,
05:29gods that have risen from the sea
05:32and descended from the sky.
05:35Today, only a few dozen Heau,
05:38like Pi'i Lanihale, still stand.
05:41But experts say that there were once
05:43thousands of these temple structures
05:45throughout the Hawaiian islands.
05:48And what ancient astronaut theorists find intriguing
05:51is that the native Hawaiians say the architects
05:54of these temples were not humans.
05:57What's so interesting is that,
05:59according to local tradition on Hawaii,
06:02the builders of these temples,
06:06these hails were actually a race of dwarfs
06:11referred to as the Menehane.
06:15The ancient legends of Hawaii say that beings of small stature
06:20called the Menehune inhabited these islands
06:23long before the first human settlers.
06:27The Menehune were created by the gods
06:30to serve as their messengers
06:32and to perform tasks.
06:35According to ancient Hawaiian stories,
06:38the Menehune were said to have had magical abilities
06:41and that they created
06:43a lot of the megalithic structures there.
06:46And it's thought that they came from somewhere else
06:49and they were there before the humans.
06:53The Menehune worked at night
06:54because they didn't want to be seen.
06:57They built canals and gulfs and roads overnight.
07:02While skeptics think that the Menehune are just fictional,
07:06there was, in 1820, a census done in Hawaii
07:09and 65 people claimed to be Menehune.
07:16There are many oral traditions across different villages
07:19that talk about Menehune
07:21that are able to actually travel into the underworld.
07:24And there are interconnected cave systems below the sea
07:28in which these folks appear in another place
07:32across Oceania.
07:35The Menehune are interesting
07:37because we find similar stories spread throughout Oceania
07:40of small people helping to build these megalithic temples.
07:45Is it possible that the ancient Hawaiian traditions are true
07:49and that the megalithic temples found throughout the islands
07:53were built by non-human entities?
07:56And if so,
07:57could they have been more than simply places of worship?
08:01According to ancient astronaut theorists,
08:04their platform shape might offer an important clue.
08:08Many of the megalithic platforms
08:11almost look as if they're built as a large landing platform.
08:15And it really makes you wonder
08:17if a lot of these ancient platforms
08:19were built for beings that have the power of flight.
08:24Local legend says that they're essentially platforms
08:27where people would go to meet visitors.
08:29So we have to be open to the possibility
08:32that these were places
08:33where actual visitors from the stars came down.
08:37They were landing places
08:38where people went to meet extraterrestrials.
08:42Could it be that Pi'ilani-Hale-He'au
08:45and other platform structures like it
08:48that exist throughout Oceania
08:50once functioned as landing paths
08:52for otherworldly visitors?
08:55As far as ancient astronaut theorists are concerned,
08:58it's a distinct possibility.
09:01And they suggest further evidence
09:04of alien contact in Oceania
09:06can be found by examining
09:08the remote Marquesas Islands
09:10and the story behind their mysterious
09:14tiki statues.
09:212,300 miles south of Hawaii
09:24lie 12 islands that make up the Marquesas.
09:28One of the most remote island groups
09:30in the world.
09:32Today, this archipelago
09:34is home to just over 9,000 inhabitants.
09:38But centuries ago,
09:40the Marquesas boasted 10 times as many people.
09:43The Marquesas before was very populated
09:47around 100,000 people.
09:50With the arrival of the Europeans,
09:52they brought a lot of disease.
09:54So a huge part of the population died
09:57from 1840 to 1880.
10:0160,000 people died in just 40 years.
10:03And so with all this person's disappearance,
10:09then a lot of knowledge were lost.
10:12With the population decimated,
10:15dense vegetation has overtaken many of the ancient sites
10:18on these islands,
10:20making them a treasure trove for new discoveries.
10:23One such example is the archaeological site
10:27of Kamuihe on the island of Nukuheva,
10:30first excavated in the 1990s.
10:34We only discovered maybe 10% of the sites
10:39that are actually on the island.
10:42So when you just go hiking in a mountain,
10:46you can end up on a site by accident
10:49because the island is just full of archaeological sites.
10:54Two large stones at the ancient site of Kamuihe
10:58are covered in petroglyphs depicting human figures,
11:03canoes, concentric circles, fish, and various animals,
11:09the most significant of which are three turtles.
11:13To the people of the Marquesas,
11:15the turtle is a powerful symbol.
11:18The turtle was a very sacred animal.
11:21A turtle is considered as this linked
11:25with the land of the gods.
11:27And there were only a few people
11:30that had a turtle tattooed on their body
11:33because that meant that you had a message from the gods.
11:38So a turtle was this very sacred animal
11:41and this messenger from the gods.
11:44Now what's so interesting is
11:46that many of the ancient creation stories
11:49talk about that life originated
11:52by a cosmic turtle flying through space.
11:56All of First Nations people here of the Americas
11:59talk about this cosmic turtle.
12:01Japanese culture talks that the entire universe
12:04rests on the back of a cosmic turtle.
12:09In Guatemala, there are carvings
12:12of so-called giant flying turtles
12:16that once existed there.
12:19Now, if you look at some of these artifacts
12:22that were found there,
12:23they look like turtles,
12:25but they're not
12:27because the head of that turtle
12:29is a guy's face
12:31inside a turtle's head with goggles.
12:35To me, that's another example
12:37of misunderstood technology
12:39because whatever our ancestors witnessed up in the sky
12:43could best be compared to a turtle.
12:47And if you look at modern-day UFOs or UAPs,
12:50they have that weird,
12:52whether it's a disc shape or an oval shape,
12:55if you know nothing about technology,
12:58well, what's that closest to?
12:59A turtle body.
13:02Could it be that the ancient people of the Marquesas
13:06associated turtles with the realm of the gods
13:09because they witnessed turtle-shaped craft
13:11descending from the sky?
13:14Perhaps further clues can be found
13:16by examining figures that the Marquesas
13:19share in common
13:20with numerous other Polynesian islands.
13:23The tiki.
13:24You find tikis in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
13:28Maori people carve them.
13:29Uh, Hawaiians carve them as well.
13:32You might find them in Micronesia,
13:35Tonga, or in Samoa.
13:37You have different variations.
13:40It's thought that the tiki statues
13:42originated in the Marquesas Islands.
13:44It was part of their tradition,
13:46part of their culture.
13:48These are thought to be the deified ancestors
13:51of the people of this area.
13:54They're almost like living beings.
13:57Tiki statues are on the edges of sacred enclosures,
14:02generally facing outwards
14:04to install fear in anybody that looks upon them.
14:08The reason for this is to say
14:10if you are entering inside these sacred enclosures,
14:14you know, respect the place.
14:16They wanted to make the tiki impressive
14:20because when you want to impress your enemy,
14:24you kind of open your eyes
14:25like they do in the performance of famous Hakka,
14:29when they open their eyes and show their thongs.
14:32So it's kind of the same thing.
14:35You really impress them
14:37so that they won't attack you
14:39and maybe run away.
14:43While explanations for who the tikis represent
14:46can differ from one island group to the next,
14:49they are most often associated
14:51with ancient ancestors and various deities.
14:54But in the Marquesas,
14:56the carvings are all meant to depict
14:59one specific figure.
15:02The lore has it that tiki was the primary ancestor
15:06and creator of Nukahiva.
15:08He was created in the image of the sky god.
15:12And so the local people made statues
15:14in honor of their creator god, tiki,
15:17and used them in worship.
15:20Tiki left the population,
15:22so they wanted to remember how he looked like.
15:25And that's how they started to carve
15:29the image of tiki that we see today.
15:33Tiki is like in between gods and humans.
15:37So he's not really a god
15:38and he's not really human either.
15:42What's so fascinating about these statues
15:44is that you have these giant goggle eyes
15:48and gigantic heads.
15:50They're very similar with depictions today
15:53that some people report with the so-called grays.
15:57We are looking at the otherworldly beings.
15:59They're right in front of our eyes.
16:03For ancient astronaut theorists,
16:06another curious aspect of the tiki's
16:08is the idea that they possess
16:10a mysterious power called mana.
16:14Mana is like a sort of life force,
16:16but it was also something that was seen
16:18to have like a consciousness in its own right.
16:21And that only the rocks in certain regions
16:25was said to have this power.
16:27So if you transferred this rock
16:30to where you were going to build your temple,
16:34then you would be transferring divine power
16:37from one place to another.
16:40This concept of mana is something
16:43that permeates all of Polynesian culture.
16:46It doesn't matter what culture you go to.
16:49They all speak of this mana power.
16:52And the question I have is,
16:55is it rooted in some type of technology
16:58that our ancestors didn't quite comprehend?
17:03Does the story behind the tiki's,
17:06along with their unusual appearance,
17:08provide further evidence
17:09that the islands of the Pacific
17:11were a place of ancient extraterrestrial visitation?
17:16Perhaps further clues can be found
17:18by examining another location
17:20that has profound ties to the Marquesas,
17:24Easter Island.
17:30On the far eastern edge
17:32of the vast region known as Oceania
17:34lies the island of Rapa Nui.
17:38More commonly known as Easter Island,
17:41this remote location
17:42has become famous around the world
17:45for its iconic Moai statues.
17:48Like the tiki found on other Pacific islands,
17:52the Moai are thought to be imbued
17:54with a mysterious power known as mana.
17:58Nearly a thousand of these strange sculptures
18:00dot the coastline,
18:02some standing over 30 feet high.
18:07The Moai statues have a specific style
18:10of these kind of long faces
18:13with bellies,
18:15with hands going around the side,
18:17touching the navel,
18:18often with elongated fingers.
18:20And some of them are beautifully carved
18:22and have intricate,
18:24almost like tattoo-like carvings
18:26down the back of them.
18:27There have been archaeological and anthropological debates
18:31over how they were constructed,
18:33how they got there,
18:35and to function.
18:37And as someone that's also navigated the seas
18:39in many different voyaging societies
18:41across Oceania,
18:43the Moai to us were sort of a way
18:46to help us navigate across the ocean.
18:49So Rapa Nui is the very end of Oceania.
18:53And so canoes coming in from, say, South America,
18:57Moai, you could see from far away
18:59at the time that were coming in and out of the region.
19:03While the Moai have served practical purposes
19:06for people navigating the open ocean,
19:08just who or what they represent
19:11is largely a mystery.
19:14But according to the local Rapa Nui legends,
19:17the Moai depict strange visitors
19:19who inhabited the islands long ago.
19:23The Moai are believed to represent these ancestors
19:27that the ancient people encountered.
19:31The traditions clearly state in Easter Island
19:34that giants are the royal class,
19:37the priestly class of Easter Island
19:41in ancient times.
19:43Could the Moai have been inspired by giants?
19:47And if so, where did they come from?
19:52According to the ancient stories of Easter Island,
19:55the answer is provided by seven Moai
19:57that stand on a sacred platform
19:59known as Ahu Akivi.
20:03The Moai at Ahu Akivi
20:05are the only ones that are facing toward the sea
20:09out of the 887 on the island.
20:13Those seven are thought to represent
20:15the seven brave explorers
20:17who came to discover
20:19this new homeland for the people.
20:21The seven Moai on the Ahu Akivi platform
20:25face directly toward the Marquesas Islands,
20:28roughly 2,300 miles away.
20:32It was said that they represented
20:35divine ancestors
20:36that came from the island of Hiva.
20:41And this we can connect
20:43with the Marquesas Islands.
20:45So what exactly was going on
20:47in the Marquesas Islands
20:48before the creation
20:50of the first Moai statues?
20:54Is it possible
20:55that strange giant beings
20:57once inhabited the Marquesas Islands
20:59and migrated to Easter Island?
21:03Could this be what the Moai
21:05are commemorating?
21:07Ancient astronaut theorists
21:09say yes and suggest
21:11the story of the Moai
21:12may also shed light
21:13on the power of mana?
21:16The energy of the mana
21:19was said to have been transferred
21:21to Easter Island
21:22from Hiva.
21:24And this divine force
21:26that was seen to embody
21:28these Moai statues
21:29with an energy
21:31that was said to bring alive
21:34of the statues.
21:36It was said to give them consciousness.
21:39One of the ancient names
21:41of Easter Island
21:42is Eyes Looking to the Sky.
21:44And this refers to the pupils
21:46in those great stone statues
21:49which were put in place
21:50of obsidian or coral
21:52or red scoria.
21:53And when the statues had pupils,
21:56they came to life
21:58imbued with mana
22:00to have supernatural powers.
22:04According to the ancient stories
22:05of the Rapa Nui,
22:07the power of mana
22:08was even used
22:09to move the giant statues
22:11into place.
22:14Legend holds it
22:15that a great king,
22:17Tuhu-Ko-Iho,
22:18was given the gift of mana
22:20from the great creator god
22:24and used the power of mana
22:26to command that the great stone statues walk.
22:33Since the dawn of time,
22:35the people of Rapa Nui
22:36have maintained
22:37that the way with which
22:39the Moai were moved around
22:41was through a power called mana.
22:45However, according to
22:46the ancient astronaut theory,
22:48the idea is that mana
22:50was a misunderstood technology
22:53because the fact
22:55that we have stories
22:56where these gigantic blocks
22:58were not dragged
22:59across the soil
23:01but flown through the air
23:03to me indicates
23:04that there had to have been
23:05some type of a technology
23:07behind it
23:08that our ancestors witnessed
23:10and thought
23:12that it was magic.
23:16Could it be
23:17that the ancient concept
23:18of mana
23:19was inspired by some type
23:21of advanced technology
23:22that was witnessed by people
23:24throughout the Pacific Islands
23:25thousands of years ago?
23:28Was this region
23:30once the home
23:31of an extraterrestrial civilization
23:33on Earth?
23:35Perhaps further clues
23:37can be found
23:37by examining
23:38the Pacific Islands'
23:40most mysterious
23:41and astonishing
23:42megalithic site.
23:53The island of Pompeii,
23:56Micronesia.
23:57Here,
23:58just off the island's
24:00southeastern shore,
24:01the ruins
24:02of an ancient civilization
24:03rise from the ocean.
24:06This complex,
24:07known as Non-Midal,
24:09covers 19 square miles
24:11and is built
24:12from hundreds
24:13of megalithic basalt columns
24:15that are stacked
24:16nearly 30 feet high.
24:19Nan-Midal is sometimes
24:20called
24:21the eighth wonder
24:22of the world.
24:24It is a gigantic area
24:28built into the ocean
24:30of about 100 artificial islands.
24:34And those artificial islands
24:36are created
24:36by taking
24:38huge pillars
24:40of basalt.
24:41The largest
24:42of these
24:43big basalt logs
24:45and rocks
24:46is said to weigh
24:4780 tons.
24:49And they pile these up
24:50and then they make
24:52these, like,
24:53Lincoln log
24:54structures there.
24:56And some of them
24:57are 30 feet high.
24:59The island city
25:01was once a hub
25:02for the Sotolour dynasty,
25:04which ruled the region
25:06from 1100 to 1628 A.D.
25:10Nan-Midal
25:11seemed to have been
25:11a major center
25:13for the Sotolour dynasty,
25:14which is a major trading network
25:16and empire.
25:18On the other hand,
25:19we have evidence
25:20of a thousand years earlier
25:22or more
25:22people living in this site
25:24and working this site.
25:25We know very, very little
25:27about the origins
25:28of Nan-Midal.
25:31The first thing
25:31that anybody
25:33would think about
25:34is why do they
25:35build it there?
25:36Interpretations
25:37of Nan-Midal
25:38included
25:38that possibility
25:40that it was built
25:41as a fort
25:42for protective purposes
25:44and that it was
25:46at one point
25:47served as a fort
25:48for the entire island.
25:49We have yet to find
25:50any evidence of that,
25:52but it's very possible.
25:55What purpose
25:56Nan-Midal served
25:58remains unknown
26:00and equally mysterious
26:01are the questions
26:03of who built
26:04the towering stone structures
26:07and how did they accomplish
26:08such an astonishing feat?
26:12To say that Nan-Midal
26:13was not an easy thing
26:14to build
26:15would be an understatement,
26:16especially when you consider
26:17that they would have been
26:18dependent upon canoes
26:20for transport of things
26:22and access to
26:24the only known source
26:25of these columns
26:26is very remote,
26:27it's very high up,
26:28it's very difficult
26:29to get to
26:30the columns themselves
26:33and transporting them
26:34would have been difficult,
26:36stacking them,
26:36building with them,
26:37every aspect of it
26:38would have been
26:39incredibly difficult.
26:40It is said
26:41that the basalt columns
26:43that were used
26:44at Nan-Midal
26:45were brought in
26:46from the other side
26:48of Panape Island.
26:49Now, when you ask
26:51the local population
26:52how did Nan-Midal
26:54come into existence,
26:55they immediately go
26:56to an ancient mythology
26:58that speaks of
26:59these two brothers
27:00who descended
27:02from the sky,
27:03Olosapa and Olosipa,
27:05who allegedly
27:06built Nan-Midal.
27:07The islanders say
27:10that all of this
27:12250 million tons
27:14of basalt
27:15was flown
27:16across the island
27:17and then
27:18put into place.
27:21You know,
27:22you have to wonder,
27:23you know,
27:23is this all connected
27:24to extraterrestrials?
27:27Could Nan-Midal's
27:29unique construction
27:30be evidence
27:31of extraterrestrial technology,
27:33as some ancient
27:35astronaut theorists
27:36suggest.
27:38Perhaps further clues
27:39can be found
27:40by examining
27:41another local legend.
27:43This one says
27:44that hidden beneath
27:45Nan-Midal
27:46is an even older
27:47megalithic site.
27:49A fascinating legend
27:51says that Nan-Midal
27:52is built on top
27:54of a former city
27:55that was there
27:56called Kanem-Weso.
27:58And the legend says
28:00that Kanem-Weso
28:01existed thousands
28:02of years ago.
28:03It was inhabited
28:03by an advanced race
28:05that had spectacular
28:06engineering skills,
28:07advanced engineering skills,
28:09and that they
28:10ultimately built
28:11Nan-Midal.
28:14Some scuba diving
28:16that was done there
28:16found that
28:18quite deep under the water
28:19there's evidence
28:20of these columns
28:21being stacked
28:22and placed
28:23in certain areas.
28:24So it's highly probable
28:27that the whole complex
28:28was much larger
28:30and stretched further
28:31off the island
28:33and now
28:34is submerged
28:35under the sea
28:36in the same location.
28:41Numerous ancient cultures
28:42around the world
28:43recorded accounts
28:45of lost civilizations,
28:47like the famous
28:48lost continent
28:49of Atlantis
28:50that the Greek philosopher
28:52Plato wrote about
28:53in the 4th century B.C.
28:56But while most researchers
28:58suggest that Atlantis
28:59would have been located
29:00somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean,
29:03another lost civilization
29:05is said to have existed
29:06in the Pacific
29:07that is known as
29:08Lemuria.
29:10The idea of Lemuria
29:12is that 12,000 years ago
29:15when the ocean levels
29:18were 300 to 400 feet down,
29:21many of these island groups,
29:24rather than being
29:25many different islands,
29:26there would have been
29:27one continent.
29:29The traditions tell us
29:31that there was so much
29:32megalithic building
29:33around the Pacific Islands
29:35because it is a transfer
29:37of tradition
29:38from a lost continent,
29:40Lemuria.
29:41So you have this ancient idea
29:43of a lost continent
29:44and they transfer
29:46the know-how
29:47and the ritual
29:48of megalithic building
29:49to all these cultures
29:51in the Pacific Islands.
29:53If Lemuria did exist
29:55in ancient Oceania,
29:57then perhaps
29:58this is a place
29:59where we're going to find
30:00evidence of extraterrestrials
30:02on Earth.
30:05Is it possible
30:06that the remote islands
30:08of the Pacific
30:08are in fact
30:10the last remnants
30:11of the lost continent
30:12of Lemuria?
30:14While ancient astronaut
30:16theorists suggest
30:17that this region
30:18of the world
30:19was home to an advanced
30:20extraterrestrial civilization,
30:22many thousands
30:23of years ago.
30:25Curiously,
30:27there is one group
30:28of Pacific Islands
30:29where all manner
30:31of strange phenomena
30:31are still
30:33reported today.
30:39Roughly 1,300 miles
30:41northeast of Australia
30:43lie the Solomon Islands.
30:45This archipelago
30:46spans over 11,000 square miles
30:49and is made up
30:51of more than 900 islands,
30:53the largest of which
30:55is Guadalcanal.
30:58During the 1940s,
31:00this island became known
31:01as the location
31:02of one of the fiercest battles
31:04of World War II.
31:07But for locals,
31:08Guadalcanal
31:09is famous as the site
31:11for all sorts
31:12of unexplained phenomena,
31:14including orbs of light,
31:15UFOs,
31:17and strange beings.
31:19There are mysterious legends
31:21all over the Solomons,
31:23actually.
31:24There is always
31:27a reference
31:28to beings
31:29other than human beings.
31:31That in this world,
31:34human beings
31:35are only one type of being
31:37that live along
31:38with other kinds of beings,
31:40like little people
31:42or small people,
31:43so people who are
31:46both human beings
31:48as well as
31:49taking the form
31:50of animals as well,
31:51and that there is
31:52always an interaction
31:54between human beings
31:56and these other beings.
31:57A lot of the stories
31:59in Guadalcanal
32:00tend to talk about giants.
32:04Giants are often portrayed
32:06in different ways.
32:07Sometimes they are
32:08benevolent giants.
32:09They help people.
32:11They look after people.
32:13But there are stories
32:15about giants
32:15killing people
32:17and taking over things.
32:19So giant is a major character
32:22in a lot of
32:23the Guadalcanal stories.
32:25The legends
32:26of the Solomon Islands
32:27for centuries
32:28have been that
32:29there are giants
32:30in these dense jungles
32:31and mountain regions.
32:33These giants
32:33are reported
32:34to be from 10
32:35to 15 foot tall.
32:37They have
32:37strange supernatural
32:39abilities and strength
32:40and the islanders
32:42report a malevolent
32:43side to them.
32:45The giants
32:46are described
32:46as beings
32:48with long hair
32:49and big foot
32:50but they have
32:51special power
32:52in that they
32:53can move fast.
32:55They can fly
32:56through the air
32:57as well.
32:58People talk about
32:59this not only
33:00as just stories.
33:01They think
33:01that giants
33:02actually exist.
33:05Could Guadalcanal
33:06really be home
33:07to giants?
33:09And if so,
33:10where
33:10did they come from?
33:13Some residents
33:14believe
33:15the reports
33:16of giants
33:16on the Solomon Islands
33:17are related
33:19to the frequent
33:20appearance
33:20of mysterious lights
33:21flying around
33:22Guadalcanal's
33:23largest volcano.
33:24The Solomon Islands
33:26are famous
33:27for UFO activity
33:28and it centers
33:29around a mountain
33:30in the middle
33:31of the island
33:32that's remote
33:33where no one lives
33:34but people
33:35claim to see UFOs
33:37coming in
33:38and out
33:38of that mountain.
33:39The local people
33:41have seen
33:42for centuries
33:43a glowing object
33:45that is seen
33:46to come from
33:46a nearby mountain
33:47and then enter
33:49the ocean.
33:50They refer to this
33:51as a dragon snake.
33:53These objects
33:54are seen
33:54to enter the waters
33:56around this area
33:57and then come back
33:58out again
33:59and then disappear
34:00into the nearby mountain.
34:02I've heard a lot
34:03of people talk
34:04about seeing lights
34:06that they cannot
34:06describe,
34:07that it either
34:08flies overhead
34:10or they see lights
34:12in the ocean
34:13coming out
34:13of the ocean
34:14and then flying overhead.
34:17While many reports
34:18of strange encounters
34:19on the Solomon Islands
34:21date back decades,
34:23even today
34:23it remains
34:24one of the world's
34:26most active
34:26UFO hotspots.
34:28There's been
34:29so many sightings
34:30of UFOs
34:31around the Solomons
34:33that in 2024
34:34there was a UFO
34:36information
34:37and research center
34:38set up
34:39to compile
34:40all of these reports.
34:42There is a possibility
34:44that UFO activity
34:45occurs around
34:47the Solomons
34:48because they are
34:49so remote.
34:50These are
34:51isolated Pacific Islands
34:53and in fact
34:5470% of the Solomon Islands
34:56is virgin rainforest,
34:58which is where
34:59most of the encounters
35:00come from.
35:03Do the many accounts
35:05of giants,
35:06mysterious lights,
35:08UFOs,
35:09and other strange phenomena
35:11reveal that the Solomon Islands
35:13have long been a site
35:15of extraterrestrial visitation?
35:17And if so,
35:19why here?
35:21Perhaps clues can be found
35:23in the region's
35:24unique geology.
35:27The Solomon Islands
35:28are located
35:29in the famous
35:29Ring of Fire,
35:30which is noted
35:31for having
35:32high levels
35:33of electromagnetism
35:34and strange phenomena
35:36occurring.
35:37And now we have
35:38frequent reports
35:39of these light objects
35:40or even craft
35:41that are emerging
35:42from within the ocean.
35:43And it tells us
35:45there's something going on
35:46in this region
35:47and that perhaps
35:48this is where
35:49we want to really
35:50start looking
35:50for evidence
35:51of extraterrestrial activity.
35:54Could it be
35:55that the tectonic activity
35:57around the Pacific Islands
35:59have attracted
36:00extraterrestrial visitors
36:02for millennia?
36:04Ancient astronaut
36:05theorists suggest
36:06that examining
36:07modern-day encounters
36:09alongside
36:09prehistoric mysteries
36:11may reveal
36:12that the Pacific Islands
36:14are not simply
36:16a destination
36:17for otherworldly beings,
36:19but a home base.
36:26In the southwest
36:28Pacific Ocean,
36:301,100 miles north
36:31of New Zealand
36:32lies the kingdom
36:33of Tonga.
36:35Most of Tonga's
36:36170 islands
36:38are uninhabited.
36:40But the main island
36:41of Tongatapu
36:42is home to more
36:44than 74,000 people
36:45and has become
36:47a popular
36:47tourist destination.
36:49But while Tongatapu
36:51has become
36:52more strongly connected
36:53to the modern world,
36:55it is best known
36:56for a mysterious
36:57ancient megalithic structure
36:59called
37:00Ha'amunga'a Maui.
37:04Ha'amunga'a Maui
37:06is this wonderful
37:07stone trilithon
37:10in Tonga.
37:12Trilithon means
37:14it's made out
37:14of three huge
37:16stone blocks.
37:17These are carved
37:18from the local
37:19coral, limestone.
37:21Each of these blocks
37:22weighs an estimated
37:2430 or 40 tons.
37:27So this is
37:28an incredible
37:29engineering feat
37:30that's found
37:31on Tonga
37:32and we don't know
37:34that much about it.
37:36For the Tongans,
37:37it is like the symbol
37:39of their island.
37:40And it's unique
37:42on the island too.
37:44It's just the one
37:45trilithon.
37:48While Ha'amunga'a Maui
37:50is the only
37:51megalithic trilithon
37:53in Tonga,
37:54similar trilithons
37:56can be found
37:56in Greece,
37:58Malta,
38:01Egypt,
38:03and most famously
38:05at Stonehenge
38:06in England.
38:07The trilithon
38:08has been referred
38:09to as the
38:09Stonehenge
38:10of the Pacific
38:10because of the
38:11massive stones
38:13that were used
38:14to construct
38:14this thing
38:15and because
38:16of their
38:16celestial orientation.
38:21Tongan legends
38:22say that this
38:23trilithon points
38:24in the direction
38:24of Pulotu,
38:26the place
38:27of the gods.
38:29And while
38:30Western scholars
38:31believe,
38:32the structure
38:32was erected
38:33by a Tongan king
38:34around 1200 A.D.
38:37The locals
38:38say it was built
38:39by Maui,
38:40a giant demigod
38:41who transported
38:43the stones
38:43from Wallace Island,
38:45roughly 500 miles
38:46north of Tonga Tapu.
38:50Ha'amunga
38:51is the stone
38:52monolith structure
38:53that identifies
38:54our connection
38:56to Maui.
38:59Maui is considered
39:01a demigod.
39:02Maui is revered
39:04as someone
39:05that was able
39:06to bend the wind.
39:09How Maui
39:10brought these
39:11huge monolithic
39:13stones there,
39:15the stories vary.
39:17Sometimes he magically
39:18flew them there.
39:19Sometimes he put them
39:21in a really big boat
39:22and rode them there.
39:25When talking
39:26about evidence
39:27for an advanced
39:27extraterrestrial civilization,
39:29we can point
39:30to the trilithon.
39:32This is supposed
39:33to have been created
39:33with an advanced race
39:34that has an ability
39:35to manipulate stone
39:37where they can levitate them
39:38and place them
39:39wherever they like.
39:42Is the megalithic trilithon
39:44on Tonga Tapu
39:45a physical remnant
39:46of an extraterrestrial
39:48civilization
39:49that inhabited
39:50the region of Oceania
39:51thousands of years ago?
39:54Ancient astronaut theorists
39:56say yes
39:57and they suggest
39:58that what makes
39:59this small Pacific island
40:01even more intriguing
40:02is that it is known
40:03today
40:03as a UFO hotspot.
40:06I was on Tonga
40:08one New Year's Eve
40:10where people also described
40:11huge cigar-shaped airships
40:14hovering west
40:17of the island
40:18for hours
40:19and everyone
40:21on the island
40:21saw it.
40:23So you have to wonder
40:25is this all connected
40:27to extraterrestrials
40:28and the gods
40:29that are coming down?
40:32It would seem
40:32to be something
40:33like that.
40:35Oceania
40:36is filled
40:38with ancient legends
40:39of strange-looking
40:42tiki's
40:43limitation technology
40:46and gods
40:48interacting
40:48with the local people
40:50gods that have
40:51risen from the sea
40:52and descended
40:53from the sky.
40:55You have to ask
40:56yourself the question
40:57what was the inspiration
40:59for this?
41:00We say
41:01oh
41:01it's just all fantasy
41:03because our ancestors
41:04were great storytellers.
41:06Yes they were
41:08but every story
41:10begins
41:11with a
41:12kernel of truth
41:13and the kernel of truth
41:15was
41:15a
41:17misunderstood
41:17physical visitation
41:20by
41:21flesh and blood
41:22extraterrestrials.
41:24Are the remote islands
41:26of Oceania
41:27with their long history
41:29of unusual phenomena
41:30a hub
41:31of otherworldly
41:33activity
41:34did visitors
41:36from another planet
41:37descend on the region
41:38thousands
41:39of years ago
41:40and use a power
41:42known as mana
41:43to erect
41:44megalithic structures
41:45and if so
41:47might the statuary
41:49found
41:49throughout Oceania
41:50depict
41:51these alien beings?
41:54Perhaps
41:55each island
41:55in the Pacific
41:56is a piece
41:57of a gigantic
41:58puzzle
41:59that when
42:00fit together
42:01will reveal
42:02the truth
42:02of our
42:04extraterrestrial
42:05origins.
42:10Этот
42:10hair
42:11scene
42:11is here
