00:03Southampton started the day bottom of the table.
00:05Spurs hadn't won away all season, so what would happen at the Dell?
00:08Well, not much for 40 minutes, then the curtain rose on the Jose Dominguez show.
00:13He thought Jason Dodd had tripped him, and he should have had a penalty.
00:17But it wasn't given, despite the histrionics.
00:22The incident clearly rattled him, because just two minutes later, he did this.
00:31To celebrate, Dominguez continued his sense of injustice by pointing at the referee's assistant.
00:37David Howell stepped in and stopped him.
00:41Well, almost.
00:42And the outcome, 1-0 to Spurs, are booking for Dominguez.
00:46In the second half, Southampton drew level with a strange own goal.
00:50Klaus Lundert-Wahn's shot was clearly going wide, until it hit Sol Campbell.
00:57Dominguez, though, soon helped Spurs back into the lead,
01:00first he spun past Benali, then a dribble to draw the defence,
01:04then an outside-of-the-boot flick to David Gimela, and he did the rest.
01:10From goalkeeper to goal, with barely a right foot in sight.
01:14The lead lasted just three minutes, though.
01:16Kevin Davis flicked it on, and new signing David Hurst latched onto it.
01:20A home debut, and his first goal for the club.
01:23His second proved to be the winner.
01:25The returning Matthew Letizia had a foot in it, a left one, naturally, before Hurst finished it.
01:31Two for the £2 million man.
01:33It's been quite a while, really.
01:35I mean, I had 90 minutes last Saturday, and 90 minutes again today, which has been good for me.
01:39But in previous months, really, I've been sat on benches and things, doing nothing.
01:44So, yeah, I'm pleased that fitness is coming back, and everything's going well at the moment.
01:50The players are bubbly, they know what's expected of them, and we're trying to turn that around, and that takes
01:55a little bit of time.
01:57You know, there's no magic wand just to come in.
01:59If we had 20 million to spend, there's no guarantee that you'd get it right in one fell swoop.
