10:21i decided i was going to take a big loop around the canyon it's like a four to five mile
10:26loop just to get around the back side of this canyon
10:28as i continued i could start hearing sticks snapping
10:39then cats don't do that you don't hear that happen very much so i just started filming i was just
10:44filming the trees i was filming everything that was there i didn't realize that i had filmed something walking
10:54probably 400 yards from me
10:57through the trees we just catch a fleeting glimpse of something walking but it's enough of a glimpse
11:04to see that it doesn't look like a person it doesn't look like a hiker walking through the woods
11:10it's tall and very very dark
11:14in areas where perhaps hunting is a common practice you don't want to be mistaken for a creature you make
11:20your presence known so something like this where this creature was clearly looking to stay out of
11:27the way i think lends itself toward an interpretation that we might be looking at some kind of cryptid here

12:32hair looking rather coarse to me and it does seem to be shifting back and forth maybe it's
12:41shifting from the weight on its left and right feet okay it's moving
12:48it's rocking in such a way that it's almost trying to emulate a tree swaying back and forth and this
12:54caught me right away because this is reported a lot they don't really reveal themselves completely but
13:00they seem to try to act or look like a tree or respond in some way to stand still
13:07maybe that shifting back and forth is a way of it doing a sort of a passive threat like yeah

17:47watch one more time as indeed the tiny piece of fluff bears a striking resemblance

18:08oh my goodness it was amazing just to know he's still there
18:16my first thought at the start of this was like
18:20is it that like tiny speck of dust that's floating through the air is that what i'm looking at here
18:24in this video clip but then oh my goodness what looks to be like a speck of dust floating on

18:33consistent trajectory through the air makes a sharp acute turn and then it looks like a frisky
18:42little dog running in the opposite direction sort of in a straight line
18:47until it disappears out of frame and i ended up kind of going yeah it looked like a tiny little
18:56ghost pomeranian
18:59what's compelling to me is it doesn't look like a traditional orb of dust or something that's just
19:04floating right normally those go along in an air current they're slowly kind of moving or meandering
19:11sometimes quickly going by if it were sort of an insect close to the camera but this particular one
19:18looks like it comes down at an angle and then it does seem as if it has a life and
19:24shape of its own
19:25like it scurries across the frame and that small detail is particularly meaningful to the family
19:33considering chino's condition toward the end of his life chino loved to run and we had like a grassy hill
19:41and he would just run like he would just love to run but he had that heart mama and he
19:48used to get
19:48tired really quick and it used to hurt our heart i'm like come on you know he's like like i
19:54take him to
19:54park here runs a little bit but he wasn't able to be out for so long so it was a

20:01could clearly see his tail and his feet and i said he's running he's able to freely run without having
20:11to stop for breath or anything like that it looked like the tail was wagging it looked like if that

20:19puppy they were very very happy so when you think about it that way it's just it's it's really
20:24beautiful but beautiful as it might be why so tiny when we think of another world whether that's the
20:35afterlife or some other dimension that we exist alongside we tend to think of it as in relative
20:42scale to our own existence i do not think it is a prerequisite of an actual apparition or manifestation
20:52that it match its size as it had been in our living world if a spirit of a small dog

23:36when they get a notification that something has set off the motion detector on their live security
23:42camera in their living room and when they check out the feed they see this

23:58a figure tall dark and appearing to stroll through the living room

24:24my husband was like oh whoa that was kind of creepy like hold on
24:30let me look at that again like maybe that was a glitch i'm like wait
24:33no there's no glitch that looks like that no it was wearing a hat
24:38it was actually like taller than the window in my house and the ceilings were like 12 13 feet tall
24:45so it being taller than the window was at least six seven foot tall in itself
24:51even more confounding from what naomi and her husband know about their home and camera setup
24:58what they are seeing simply is impossible the way that the camera was angled it was angled at my front
25:06door so if someone were to walk in my house i would catch them walking in my house it's like
25:12anybody who's walking through the house they will be visible in the reflection and they will be visible
25:18in the camera walking past the tv if it was a real person you would have seen them standing there

25:25the camera's view too so then if not a real person then what exactly is it it's completely featureless
25:38it's almost if we're looking at its back it seems to be a tall man um standing there in a
25:45black cloak or robe wearing some kind of a hat or helmet when they get to the edge of the

25:58looks like they just sort of dissolve i know that we're looking kind of a reflection off of a tv

26:05but even a solid you know living breathing person should be solid until they kind of reach the edge
26:11where they walk off the frame and that's not the case here looking for answers naomi posts the video
26:21online and is immediately inundated with comments from people claiming to recognize the figure
26:29from their own nightmares

26:38the hat man is sort of a digital folklore phenomenon something that people started
26:43reporting and talking about in a lot of online forums in sort of the mid to late 2000s
26:50this figure of a man ostensibly in what appears to be some sort of trench coat wearing a wide brimmed

27:00a lot of people started sharing their experiences with this character and it created a mass hysteria
27:07event that now when people go to sleep they're scared of coming across the shadow figure of the hat man
27:15and that fear from millions of users online reading these stories has now snowballed into what we call
27:23the paranormal field an egregore this very real energy in the likeness of their fear i started looking
27:33into the lore of the hat man and it kind of adds up with what's going on in my life

27:40know how he follows people who are going through like really hard times mentally and having no interest
27:47in something like this adding to her stress naomi does whatever she can to protect herself and her
27:54family i researched some cleansing prayers and i just started shouting them through my house
28:04i don't know if it helped obviously the activity's still here but in that moment it calmed down and it
28:10got quiet and it felt better for me like i felt instant relief and i've got a lot of faith

28:17mainly what i'm i've been relying on lately faith and a brand new perspective
28:26i was always a believer but to know that there's really that other realm where the spirit world is
28:34and you know they're walking around with us but not with us it's fascinating and it's terrifying and

31:16all of a sudden we see this head pop up but it's not a head with a face it's very
31:23dark and featureless
31:25like a just a dark dark shadow and it appears to be peering directly through the glass at the woman
31:33filming the video it seems to follow that same pattern where you are capturing a glimpse of this
31:41shadow person it doesn't seem to want to interact with you but it seems to be as curious in you

31:48you to it or him or her shadow people show up i mean literally in all shapes and forms i've

31:56legitimate photographs of them just being blobs i have seen shadow people with the naked eye and
32:02they look more humanoid sometimes they're transparent sometimes that looks like they're
32:07thick like a blanket like there's you can't see through them at all sometimes they are stationary
32:13sometimes they peek in and out it looked like he was watching us for a minute it looked like he
32:18stopped to look in the window or whatever and then he just vanished i was like oh my god i

32:24because i would have probably left the hotel if i would have seen it oh i would have tried to
32:27chase after it yeah he would i would have been done but if chris had chased after it considering the
32:35history of the hotel he may have soon found himself surrounded by other entities
32:45the congress hotel opened in 1893 as part of the world's colombian expo in chicago and it is noteworthy
32:56for hosting multiple presidents but also a lot of ghosts there have been several documented deaths
33:06in the history some of them quite violent and even gruesome a little boy died here suicides several
33:15of them have occurred here i know people who have gone and investigated the congress hotel and even
33:20people have just stayed there because they're interested in the history of it and they all had very
33:25similar accounts of saying that that hotel made them feel darkness the hotel has a lot of dramatic
33:34and traumatic history so we just wandered the hotel and they allow you to do that there
33:39and at this particular time there weren't many other guests to get in the way it was in march of

33:48right after the store started opening up from the covet pandemic when we got there at half like the
33:53half the hotel was like shut down and that that floor was actually one of the ones that was closed
33:58off so there was nobody even on that floor it's really interesting to me to think that in that sort
34:05of quiet quarantine period spirit presences various entities that are sometimes normally maybe kept at the
34:13margins of spaces are ready to take over roaming the halls this is my hotel now
34:21and then as people start to trickle back the idea that encounters might go up
34:29as you know the normal order reasserts itself i think that's really fascinating
34:35maybe the spirit wanted to just come out and kick it you know they they were aware that like uh

35:35individually perhaps dream vacations
35:41but taken together something decidedly less pleasant the three points of the bermuda triangle
35:56an area where countless ships and planes have vanished without a trace
36:04leaving many to believe that the region is haunted by something supernatural

37:51when you see something like this flashing and different colored lights and just something dynamic
37:59what could be causing that it's kind of like there's like this more of light around it kind of this
38:06rainbow effect or other times almost kind of a plasma look or ring around it
38:13it's almost as if it has kind of a force field in a sense maybe it's a form of protection

38:20kind of the energy that's emitting from this with whatever technology it uses for propulsion and
38:26to traverse right we don't see that with man-made objects a fact that sticks with dana
38:35and sends her mind racing i watched that thing and videotape it for like an hour and then i finally
38:42went into bed and i couldn't sleep because i was like what if it's still out there should
38:48because i really wanted to watch it to see how it disappeared like did it just fly off did it

39:02spot an hour later it's much too large to be one of the planets in our solar system and they

39:12appear to be as close as this thing is and they certainly don't throb and change color like this either

39:34of ufo uap activity it's been going on for what's believed to be hundreds of years and there's a lot
39:41of strange disappearances of planes and and boats so it's considered to be one of these areas where there
39:49could very well be some sort of a portal or opening to another realm because people seem to vanish and
39:56never return if that's the case perhaps dana should count herself lucky now throughout history there have
40:07been plenty of tales of sea monsters and sirens things that waylay sailors that call them to their doom
40:15now could this light described as a disco ball be a modern evolution as bait for whoever could be seeing
