Ukraine is putting robots on the front lines — and pulling soldiers back.
The goal? 100% of frontline logistics handled by unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).

Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov says Ukraine will contract 25,000 UGVs in the first half of 2026 — more than double last year's total. The mission: keep humans out of the kill zone.
The numbers are already staggering. In March alone: over 9,000 UGV missions. In the past three months: more than 22,000 unmanned missions. That's 22,000 soldiers who didn't have to risk their lives.

Then there's the operation that changed everything.
Last summer, a robotic strike unit from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade used only drones and UGVs to take a fortified Russian position in Kharkiv Oblast. No Ukrainian infantry. Just machines.

Russian troops raised a cardboard sign: "We want to surrender." Drones guided them into captivity.
"For the first time in the history of this war, Ukrainian warriors captured an enemy position using exclusively unmanned platforms," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The robot industry is exploding. Ukraine had zero ground-drone companies in 2022. Now? Around 300. The government has issued 175 grants to developers.

Kyiv just codified the Bizon-L — a 300kg-payload logistics robot with a 50km range — under NATO standards for use by Ukrainian forces and allies.

Total investment so far: over $330 million. More than 181,000 drones, UGVs, and electronic warfare systems sent to the front.

Zelenskyy's philosophy: "This is about high technology protecting the highest value — human life."

Robots supply. Robots fight. Humans live. 🤖🇺🇦
