02:05And the residents of the house are wrestling with an emotionally difficult decision.
02:10Just a week ago, Stephen Adler was caught using heroin in the house two days in a row.

02:18He's been verbally attacking us.

02:22He was slamming doors.
02:24I'm completely covered on my legs in bruises right now.
02:27With the safety of the entire house in jeopardy,
02:29Jen was forced to call 911 to remove Stephen from the house.
02:35Stephen was arrested for felony drug possession and taken to jail.
02:40With the assistance of Bob Forrest and Stephen's loved ones,
02:43he was released to the custody of a bail bondsman.

02:48It's now several days later.
02:50Stephen has completed treatment for his heroin use at Las Encinas.
02:54And is asking to be allowed to return to the Sober House.

05:09So you need to know that he's not going to be abusive or he needs to be respectful of

16:17it's a male and that's all I can tell you is he single he's coming in either tonight or early
16:24in the morning and he's going to move into Seth's room so there's a little change going on there's
16:29going to be a bunk bed coming
16:30that is absolutely ridiculous my room is the size of a peapot Seth you're alone in the room and
16:39therefore you have no closet and I have no room for his clothes it's not really working this
16:45person's detox but he really needs your guys's really needs your guys's help and since you have
16:51more time than this person you can be absurd more time than them yes this person for shizzle you have
16:57more time so therefore you help another you know what I mean it's like passing it on and we need

17:02welcome this person this person's going through a lot I'll do it I'll do it I'll do it whatever
17:11I'll take one for the team Seth went from having his own room to having to double up the only
17:18thing
17:18that we were able to put in that room is a kid-sized bunk bed should I take the bottom

17:23curtain that was a huge step for Seth because he was selfless living in sobriety is it's a big thing
17:30to be selfless you know because we're such selfish people
17:49as if we didn't have enough interesting people in the sober house none other than the great Andy
17:54Dick is arriving tonight to move in with the other residents and explore a life of sobriety
17:59hey I'm Andy Dick I'm an actor I'm 42 and maybe you remember me from news radio you know some
18:08of my
18:09good years I was the cameo king for 10 years I've known Andy Dick for many years and he's a
18:16very
18:16eccentric lovable guy who I have great affection for everyone I think is aware of his antics and how
18:22funny a guy he is but behind that is a severe addiction has recently progressed to the point that
18:26he's had a very highly publicized arrest oh I just get in trouble and that's my thing I just get
18:32in
18:32trouble I cannot do any more damage to my career I mean I'm constantly in the news I'm constantly
18:40getting into some kind of problem with the log
18:46you know my downfall this time around beer plain old beer
18:52I wasn't even doing hard drugs no pills but a hell of a lot of beer I love rolling rock

19:03from the glass line tanks of old betrobe we tender this premium beer for your enjoyment
19:10as a tribute to your good tastes it comes from the mountain springs to you 33 that's on the back

19:18every bottle no you can't fool yourself beer is a drug and and so I'm sick of it I'm serious

22:36I've actually seen you out quite a few times we've been to the same parties really yeah I used to

22:42about how much beer I could put back I could drink everyone under the table I was unwilling to go

22:47rehab again I said I've been there nine times I don't need to go ten times it's obviously not
22:52sticking and uh it's unpleasant going to rehab but then when I went to jail I said I'll go to
22:59rehab
23:00now because it's a lot it's a lot better it's his tenth time trying and uh he seems pretty broken
23:08broken enough to want to get fixed when I went to jail somehow my son did find out
23:13and he just said just let him just sit there
23:17my own son let him sit there I totally agree with him I would have done the same thing
23:25let him sit there loser me you know you're not a loser no I know but you know I'm just
23:34yeah I gotta be
23:35done with it I gotta be done my son is 20 and you know he's just had he's had his
23:43fill you know he
23:45just has he's such a good kid too he's the exact opposite of me he's just such a good kid

25:31dad my dad was this beautiful glamorous professional football player who was a bad addict and just
25:38really got so lost in his alcoholism he ended up dying on a bender but addict guys that come along
25:45really steal my heart because it's my dad and they're always these beautiful losers who you know
25:51are bad addicts I try to save them and I forget about my own addiction because I'm so into their
25:55addiction you guys know I wasn't gonna be on no no no no no this was not planned what happened
26:05so I put myself in rehab because you know it's just time yeah you know what it's just time again
26:11for me to stop and hopefully it's forever this time and this time I sought out Dr. Drew because you
26:17know I've known him for 20 years so I went to his rehab and and there was this guy that
26:23was kind of a
26:24little shaky and and he had long blonde hair and he was looking at me and going hi no no
26:29yeah it was
26:30um Steven and I'm like I'm like uh-huh yeah do I know you because I was all just upset
26:36and he's like
26:37yeah you know we partied the drummer from Guns N' Roses I'm like oh okay yeah I think I I
26:44remember
26:44you and I said what are you doing he's like I'm leaving I'm going up to Dr. Drew so I
26:50said just bring
26:50me up there please you know nice you know it's beautiful even though all the mayhem the thing
26:58that happened with Steven like I always go god if I could save one person's life and the other day
27:02Bob goes well you did you saved Steven's life therefore in turn Steven saved your life like that
27:08whole incident do you see like we think something so tragic is like the end of the world and awful

27:15yeah like people are being saved from it yeah coming up

28:07he'd invite me but the reason why this is bad is we went out on alcohol with trips me out

28:12newly sober I'm never sober in my adult life I'm 37 and it wasn't sober and I didn't because I
28:18got
28:18so nervous well the question is what happens if you go yes and then then what's his experience the
28:24second time around yeah what's it gonna be I know I miss 16 years I was also addicted for 16
28:32years
28:33I missed everything that you normally go through I have no idea about relationships and just being
28:39intimate with another human being I have like the emotional maturity of a like a 21 year old that's
28:46what I feel and I'm not 21 and that kills me right now
29:02everyone is putting different things as their priority over what they should be
29:05mm-hmm you know what I mean I'm like whoa everyone our primary purpose is to stay sober and help
29:11each other you know
29:12and we're so excited about this party with this hot guy tonight and I know she's never been intimate
29:21with any man before sober and she's so new in her sobriety that going out right now to this crazy
29:29party is
29:30a really bad idea I'm hoping that she doesn't drink or do drugs to get intimate with this guy it
29:37may not be
29:38this guy maybe it'll be a date in a couple months or a year whatever but I got to heal
29:43myself with
29:44like a normal guy and I'll be so healing I mean it's not exactly the most glamorous date but I
29:52don't
29:52know it just was like a healing thing oh my god a boy likes a girl you know what I
29:57mean do you think
29:58that you're gonna be okay I completely understand where Jen's coming from but I've never had any kind
30:04of deep serious intimate relationship with a man I just have I need to explore that normal way I wish
30:13I could tell them to suggest things only so there's nothing really I could do more except pray that she's
30:28gonna be okay so these are the rules I'm gonna read them with you and want me to read them

30:34because I can do it real fast perfect okay Sunday through Thursday 10 p.m. curfew you just have to

30:40in the house by 10 if you are late you will be giving a warning in quotes it says you

30:47warning for being disrespectful not doing your chores breaking curfew not getting out of bed in
30:52the morning not showering well I don't shower a lot I'm not gonna lie like I'm wearing the same clothes
31:00as yesterday and I didn't shower but I'll shower okay good okay there is absolutely no sex this is
31:08the problem rule that I have I just have a problem with it because believe it or not I have
31:14a lot of sex
31:15I mean that's why I have three kids I would have seven I'm just so flirty and kind of touchy
31:21bordering on
31:25see so you're not allowed in my bedroom I am because I'm the house manager oh so you can do
31:30anything can you have sex I can't I wouldn't do that I mean I can but I won't you can't
31:36no I won't do
31:37that the rules are the rules for everyone there is absolutely no sex it's gonna be hard with that
31:46amber girl match so how old is she 37 I usually go for people like you know in their 20s
31:54but I'd make
31:55an exception with that one if you are caught having sex you will be given a strike and put in
32:02probation
32:02you know that's good I need to just reign that all in so it's good no person or persons will

32:09allowed to enter the sober living house if he or she is intoxicated or in possession of any drugs or
32:13alcohol last one you will also be required to follow the instructions established by the house

33:57coming off drugs now it's like there's men shopping and sex that's the other things that
34:02can can give you that high and unfortunately now I'm turning to other things besides drugs
34:07and I really want to go and meet someone
34:13we've all expressed to Amber how we don't think it's a good idea for her to go out tonight
34:18ultimately it's her decision and we're going to support her

34:26before she takes a good idea she doesn't have my cell phone let's go
