18:55In the back, SWAT had already fired bunker rounds through the window and used the Bearcat
19:00to break it open even further, clearing a path for the drone to enter without exposing officers
19:04to another potential ambush.
19:18Once tactical drones were sent inside, officers found 22-year-old Asante Miller in a back room,
19:24the same room where the earlier exchange of gunfire had taken place.
19:27He was dead from a gunshot wound to the head, with a second wound to his right thigh.
19:31In Miller's pocket, officers recovered cash allegedly stolen from the initial 911 caller.
19:36He was also wearing a backpack containing two loaded 9mm pistol magazines,
19:40three boxes of 9mm ammunition, and an Ozark hatchet.
19:43SWAT cleared the remainder of the apartment and found no additional threats.
19:47Ultimately, no officers were injured in either exchange of gunfire,
19:49and the standoff lasted nearly three hours before Miller was found dead, bringing the case to an end.
