00:08Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we're counting down our picks for the 10 hardest
00:13boss battles from across the entirety of the Harry Potter video game pantheon.
00:26Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:31the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:36Fastidio's Monster Hogwarts Legacy Fastidio makes Peeves the Poltergeist seem
00:48kinda tame by comparison, given his penchant for folly and mischievous ways.
00:53This haunted Hogsmeade shop quest goon lays the smackdown with his conjured debris monster
00:59in the final part of this surprisingly creepy questline.
01:02Despite just being an animated pile of debris, this monster is rock hard and won't go down
01:08without some serious magic.
01:09While it might be lumbering and slow, yes, its weighty attacks can certainly slice your health
01:15bar with ease, especially when it's joined by some sentient mannequins. Creepy.
01:20Oh, and you know, just for funsies, Fastidio flips the arena upside down during
01:24the final third of the battle to really make things disorienting.
01:54Don't let Umbridge's pink-laden get-up fool you, not at all. She is as devious, cunning and evil as
02:00they come.
02:01Not only do you have to contend with Umbridge's magic attacks when she happens to pop in and out of
02:07the arena, as well as a very small arena to fight in I might add, but she also has plenty
02:12of Death
02:12Eater lackeys backing her up. Just when you think the battle is over, a swarm of Dementors are sent
02:18your way to block you from getting the Horcrux. Best get that Expecto Patronum ready.
02:33Hungarian Horntail, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
02:42Accio Firebolt. This on-broom in-air battle may not be a traditional boss in the normal sense,
02:48but we are still including it here because it's easily one of the hardest parts of the game,
02:53and requires you to pass this Triwizard task if you hope to best this dragon. Harry must zip,
02:59glide, and soar all around the exterior areas of Hogwarts, contending with hazards and obstacles,
03:05oh, and yeah, of course, if you didn't guess, the Hungarian Horntail's powerful fiery attacks
03:10that get lobbed your way all throughout. It's not easy, not at all, especially as
03:15you increase in speed and its fireballs get more intense. Best of luck.
03:28The Dementors, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
03:37Those dastardly Dementors are back, and this time they hope to steal the life essence of Sirius Black
03:43and Harry, and they really don't make it at all easy on the duo. The encroaching Dementors are
03:48ruthless and vile, and will stop at nothing to get to Sirius. Your goal is to guide your Patronus
03:54spell towards each of the Dementors, but as you might have guessed, as you try to quell one of them,
03:59another one just sort of swings around from the side to get to you and Sirius. It's doable, yes,
04:05to be sure, but it does require a lot of patience and precision with your Patronus blasts,
04:10if you hope to make it to the end before the final Patronus saves the day.
04:24Dad?
04:27Fenrir Greyback, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
04:38Hermione is the star of this epic, penultimate battle of attrition set in the ruins of Hogwarts.
04:43The nefarious Death Eater, Fenrir Greyback, won't be put down so easily, especially since he is
04:49joined by his pack of lackeys. Deathly Hallows Part 2 essentially plays like a sort of third-person
04:54shooter, so expect to do lots and lots of spellblasting as Hermione as you navigate around the rubble,
05:00taking potshots at Fenrir and pals, warding off damage with Protego, and keeping watch of Fenrir's
05:07health bar, which can get boosted as he uses his Death Eater dark magic to just thwip around the
05:12battlefield. It's a frenetic and harrowing battle that perfectly sets the stage for what's to come
05:17in terms of both tone and challenge.
05:28Bellatrix, Lestrange, and Lucius Malfoy, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
05:39We have ourselves a little two-for-one boss battle here as Sirius and Harry take on Bellatrix and
05:46Lucius in a hectic and intense duel. Now, this one is mostly challenging due to actually controlling
05:52Sirius' spellcasting and trying to line up one of the two targets. Everyone just kind of stands in one
05:58area during the battle, which, yes, it's odd, but it also makes things tougher since it really just
06:03comes down to who can dole out and land the most spells efficiently. Bellatrix and Lucius are tough
06:09and will need a variety of spells to be quelled, but at the end of the day, we still know
06:14it ends poorly
06:14for Sirius. The final showdown with Voldemort, Harry Potter, and the Goblet of Fire.
06:29The boy who lived, I'm going to destroy you.
06:35We easily could have just featured multiple Voldemort boss fights on this list, since many of
06:40them are tricky to be sure, but we think the cemetery showdown with this big baddie is one of
06:46the tougher ones, apart from one that we will get to in a little bit. There's a lot going on
06:50in this
06:51battle, not only it's just creepy in the cemetery, but it's a hectic fight. I mean, not only do you
06:56have
06:56to contend with jinxing skeletons that Voldemort has reanimated from the grave, but you must also avoid the
07:02grim reaper gravestone he seeks to smash you with. You have to keep your head on a swivel just to
07:07avoid
07:07taking damage, all in tandem with keeping your magic stream synced up with Voldemort's until
07:12you can finally use the Triwizard Cup portkey to escape his wrath and malice.
07:27The Basilisk, Harry Potter, and the Chamber of Secrets, both the console and Game Boy Color versions.
07:39For this entry, we simply had to include both the console version of this game as well as the Game
07:44Boy Color version, since both Basilisk battles are brutally hard in their own unique ways. Now,
07:51starting with the console version, it's a good thing you were able to obtain Godric Gryffindor's
07:55sword right from the get go, since that weapon will be your best friend in order to slay this massive
08:01slippery serpent. Dodging the Basilisk's poison attacks isn't too bad, but it's quite easy to get
08:07smashed by all the falling rocks. The sword will eventually deal the death knell, so keep at it.
08:12Now, over on the Game Boy Color side of things, you are still basically just fighting the Basilisk
08:17that's been summoned by Tom Riddle, aka Lord Voldemort. However, this version of the game is a
08:22full-on turn-based RPG, which means it's a whole other beast to deal with. You and Fox are going
08:28to need
08:29to be well aware of the Basilisk's weak points in order to deal damage of your own, in tandem with
08:34keeping on the defensive, of course. It's the culmination, really, of all of your hard-fought
08:39turn-based magical battles that test everything you have learned up to that point.
08:54Ranrock Dragon Hogwarts Legacy
09:06While Ranrock might not be as memorable of a villain as Lord Voldemort, there's just no denying that his
09:12lust for power and dominance is harrowing and menacing in equal measure. This point is extremely
09:17evident at the end of Hogwarts Legacy, when Ranrock utilizes the power of the magical repository beneath
09:23Hogwarts Castle to transform into the evil machination that is Ranrock Dragon. Ranrock stops at nothing in
09:30this brutal fight that will test all of your magical abilities, both ancient and otherwise,
09:35as you seek to stop this nefarious goblin-slash-dragon hybrid. It's a grueling three-part battle deep in the
09:41bowels underneath Hogwarts, where you must use the condensed magic from the repository that leaks out
09:47to weaken the dragon to then just spam him with spells galore. It's sheer attrition at its finest,
09:53and it shows how Ranrock will do anything and everything to gain all the magical power for
09:58the goblin kind, no matter the cost.
10:12Professor Quirrell-slash-Voldemort Harry Potter and the Sorcerers-slash-Philosopher Stone
10:17He has the stone. Harry Potter, give me the stone. I know you have it. Let me speak to him
10:25face to face.
10:27Another three-parter here, this climactic battle against Professor Quirrell-slash-Voldemort might
10:32seem easy on the surface, at least when compared to something like Ranrock Dragon in the previous
10:37entry. While certainly not as grueling or heck as lengthy of a battle as the previous one, it just
10:42feels more challenging and finicky, mostly because you must cast your spells through the Mirror of
10:47Erised if you hope to even damage the two-in-one duo. It's honestly just not immediately obvious that
10:53you actually need to do this. Yes, the first part where you flippendo the arena pillar to damage him
10:59isn't too bad. He still can manage to coil you up in his magical ropes though, so do keep that
11:03in mind.
11:04And the final part sees you needing to button mash like your life depends on it as Harry,
11:09as Harry Potter, if you hope to send enough magical energy back at Quirrell-slash-Voldemort
11:13to stop him from getting the eponymous stone.
11:23So, do you agree with our picks for this list? Who are the hardest bosses you faced off against
11:28across the Harry Potter video game library? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
11:39I'll pick it up.
11:39Maybe even if you don't know how to play the game is him, you can play the first game,
11:40It's too early, the game's game.
11:40It's a great way to talk about the game.
11:41Thanks for now.
11:41What's the game is going to play on the game.
11:42We'll play on the game, and have a game for the game.
11:44gaming videos every single day.
