00:07We are in the celebration of 15 years of the Fundación Alquería Cabalier, 15 years of transformation and of dreams
00:13fulfilled.
00:14During the celebration, we talked about the impact of the Fundación with some participants of the event.
00:19The real transformation of Colombia is necessary for education, and what they are doing in terms of education is revolutionary.
00:27The education doesn't only transform a lot of families through the meritocracy of supporting students who deserve it,
00:37but those are the students who, at the end, will end transforming to Colombia.
00:41The education and the access to superior education allows social mobility.
00:46When a person manages to acquire new abilities, knowledge that allow her to do something with her life,
00:53the life of life, and in that moment, it changes the person, it changes their environment, it changes their family.
00:59It is well known, the studies show, that a person who, for the first time in the family,
01:04can have access to superior education, that person will have social mobility,
01:09will be able to have more power.
01:12We are beyond the acquisitive power, this is what allows you to achieve your goals in life.
01:17And that means well-being.
01:19It is the engine to be able to achieve all the goals that we want to achieve,
01:23to have better jobs, health, even the way it is to education.
01:28But not any type of education, and not just of high quality,
01:30but that is relevant and pertinent to the needs of the 21st century,
01:35even from this decade that we are living,
01:37that is very different from the needs that existed before.
01:40So, yes, it is not only necessary, but obligatory,
01:44to have high quality education, relevant and pertinent to all.
01:48We always had the preconception of that the public education
01:51always corresponds to something bad, something bad,
01:55something bad in general, lastimosamente.
01:57And I believe that the idea and the dream of Carlos Enrique
02:01to involve this project that began in the Sabana of Bogotá
02:05in the municipality of Lechero,
02:07and to contribute to a series of efforts
02:11and create a model that allowed,
02:14with seven components,
02:16to try to impact on the colleges of the municipalities
02:19and to achieve that the level,
02:21in a relatively short time,
02:23to improve.
02:25The most important thing is that,
02:26I believe in the myth,
02:27that when things happen well,
02:29and especially when things happen,
02:32when things happen well,
02:33the opportunity for the people,
02:35it is a fundamental issue for the parents,
02:37for the families,
02:38for the teachers,
02:40for all the region,
02:41and the people who are committed,
02:42and today they have achieved
02:44the results of wonderful,
02:46amazing.
02:47It is fundamental to bring opportunities
02:49and equity in the access to education
02:50and knowledge,
02:52so that,
02:52the most vulnerable communities
02:54in the country can access to tools
02:56that allow them to transform
02:57scenarios of vulnerability
02:59and that allow them to build opportunities
03:02through this new knowledge
03:03and tools.
03:05Just the Fundacional Querida Caballero
03:06contributed to that.
03:07When we saw the report
03:08we saw how Cundinamarca,
03:11through the PROMSE,
03:12has managed to reduce
03:13as the first part of the country
03:15the gap between urban and rural.
03:18Once we give opportunities
03:19to the rural population,
03:20to the rural population,
03:22we are generating
03:23that we can again
03:25develop economically
03:26the camp,
03:27that we can give opportunities
03:29and above all
03:30that we have to be able
03:31to get the talent
03:31from these areas.
03:32The public education is a
03:33fruct of the effort
03:34of all.
03:35We work as a community,
03:37as individuals of a society,
03:38we can reach the same level
03:40and the economic investment
03:42will pass to a second plan.
03:44The historical responsibility
03:46that has the country
03:47is to bring education
03:50to quality education
03:51to the rural education.
03:52But more than the education
03:53to quality,
03:54it is to bring opportunities
03:56to this rural population
03:57that has always been
03:58at the edge of the development
04:00of the knowledge
04:02of the centers of power,
04:03because just
04:04it has not been able
04:06to obtain
04:07an education
04:08of quality,
04:09pertinent,
04:10and for the benefit
04:12of all this population.
04:13And therefore,
