00:00Well, moving on to episode two, I was telling you before, I was hysterical watching Tiffany Haddish take on this
00:06whole experience.
00:08There was one moment when she was coming off the cliff, and she kind of flipped over.
00:16Oh, my God.
00:19Keep holding that brake on.
00:23That's it. Keep your hand on that brake.
00:26And she got off, and she's cool, and she's like, no, Bear was scared.
00:31Well, I was a little nervous at that point, yeah.
00:33So, yeah, what was going on?
00:34I mean, I think I'm always, like, super alert on these shows just for the guest safety.
00:40You know, they're often rookies, never done anything like this before.
00:43They're right out of their comfort zone.
00:44We're in a remote part of the world, and the dial is up at 9 or 10 for a lot
00:49of the time on these routes we choose.
00:51And, you know, the wild's unpredictable as well.
00:53You can plan a climb, or you're rappelling off this cliff, and, you know, you can teach people only so
00:58much, but ultimately they're on their own.
01:00You know, once I've kind of gone, I'm kind of leaving them, and I've got to try and shout up
01:04and talk them through it.
01:05But I think she just lost her footing.
01:07She goes upside down, and I'm always nervous of that, especially someone like, you know, Tiffany.
01:12She's, you know, like, you can slide out of a harness.
01:15You know, if it's not cranked up tight and you're upside down.
01:18Not like a full-body harness that's got you in it.
01:21You know, you've got to, you know, we're definitely always on the edge with these things.
01:25And I never really relax until we're finished at the end, from the minute we pick up until the minute
01:30we're out of there.
01:30So my heart is often in my mouth when I see things happen, or rocks come off, or little slides
01:37of things.
01:38But actually, she was just such a positive force, never stopped laughing, and, like, again, full of so many great
01:45stories and jokes.
01:47But also she was nervous, I think, for a lot of it.
01:50And I think sometimes humour's a way for people to cope when they're on the edge.
01:56And that's great, you know, whatever it takes to get you through.
01:58But she was such a live wire.
02:00And also she was incredibly honest.
02:02I mean, she talked about some stuff she's never talked about publicly before.
02:06Some really, really very intimate, difficult, painful experiences she went through when she was younger.
02:13And, you know, I really admire that, to share, and that vulnerability.
02:18And, again, it is what the outdoors does.
02:21And it's a, I always think the wild never judges.
02:23Right.
02:24You can sit together and share these moments.
02:26And for me, it's a privilege to be beside people in those vulnerable times.
02:30Yeah, and what surprised you the most from that conversation you had with her?
02:34Because, like you said, she did get very deep, kind of.
02:36She went from this, you know, super funny laughing to now she's tearing up and crying.
02:41And we kind of saw all different sides of her in this episode, which I thought was really interesting.
02:45I did all these nice things and they still don't want me.
02:48Like, I cleaned the kitchen.
02:49I cleaned the toilets.
02:50I made the beds.
02:51I did, like, I helped.
02:53I cut the grass.
02:54Like, I did all these things and they still don't want me.
02:57Well, I just think it shows strength, doesn't it?
02:59But also it shows trust.
03:02And I think, you know, I never take that for granted.
03:05We're a little unit and a little team for those, you know, for that 24 hours together.
03:11And we need to trust each other.
03:13She's trusting me with her life and we're kind of working buddy-buddy through it all.
03:17And I never take that for granted.
03:19And I think to share really vulnerable, difficult things in your life takes strength and trust.
03:25And again, it's the magic of the show is you're seeing these huge stars talk about some really difficult stuff.
03:33And it's a reminder that everybody's faced battles in life just because you're a superstar or on TV or in
03:41movies.
03:42You know, often it's that quote, I've never met a strong person who's had an easy past.
03:47Yeah.
03:48And often these people have reached the top of their profession, but there's been a price.
03:53And like I say, I really admire that vulnerability that running wild really brings out in the guests.
03:59Speaking of being open and honest, Tiffany was very open and honest about what time of month it was for
04:05her during this whole experience.
04:06And so I think kudos to her for that.
04:08Well done, well done, well done.
04:10What's coming out?
04:12What's coming out?
04:13The lining of my uterus.
04:15I'm blown.
04:16I'm going to be honest with you.
04:18Probably picked the wrong time of the month to do this show.
04:21Was that a running wild first for you?
04:25Actually, probably not.
04:27I mean, not everybody sort of articulates it so much.
04:30But, you know, I think it's, again, it speaks to her spirit and character.
04:35You know, there's a lot of people who would go, I just can't do it at the moment, you know.
04:41And I think a lot of emotions with it.
04:43And I just really admire her tenacity that like not everything's perfect, but I'm still here and I'm all in.
04:51And I'm not feeling great and it's, you know, but I'm all in.
04:55Yeah.
04:56And you've got to admire that in life because sometimes it's not always going to be perfect.
05:01You know, it's a sign of character, isn't it, to dig deep and do the difficult and still be in
05:06when you're not feeling great.
05:07She's very fun as well, you know, and she didn't shy away from that.
05:10And there was endless, endless gags around that as well.
05:14But she's a fighter and a champion and she should be really proud of herself.
05:17Yes.
