00:43the oil company signing this memorandum of understanding for the for the
00:48development of investment projects for the production of oil which of course in
00:53turn will produce more benefits for the Venezuelan people. Let's listen to

01:10gentlemen, first of all I want to give you thanks for this visit here in Venezuela.
01:15Despite being their first visit to Venezuela I want to be here present to
01:19give the news about the projects that we have like in this moment designing of
01:26this memorandum of understanding for the exploration. For a second point I want to
01:34inform that we are opening our permanent office here in Caracas and we have hired
01:39already the country manager Luisa who's going to be working with us directly here
01:44in Venezuela which will solidify this relationship. Our presence here has four
01:50important points as first we want to comment about the presence of exploration in
01:57other coasts in Taltina platform. As a second point offshore exploration we are
02:03happy to be partners in the Oran field in the exploration of that field where we
02:08are going to be able to help Venezuela to develop those areas and grow together. As a
02:13third point we know that there are still many more, many more gas in the Tana
02:18platform and we are excited to work together with the Venezuela government to
02:22be able to develop those capacities. As a fourth and last point we must mention
02:26that we have lots of capacity for commercialization not only of gas but
02:30also hydrocarbons and we want and we know that we can help Venezuela also in
02:34development of those fields. So President we want to thank you for your
02:41continuous support and your previous positions and in this one we know that we
02:45have a good road ahead to develop and work together in the future. Thank you
02:50very much.

03:03this Ceremony of the Sign of Memorandum of Understanding.
03:06We're referring to all those present here. Minister Paula, President of PDVSA, the Vice
03:14Presidents of PDVSA and Vice Ministers are here with us. We want to give welcome to
03:18the Vice President, Executive President of Gas and Low Energy Carbon, William of
03:25British Petroleum, the Executive Director, David Campo from Trinidad and Tobago and
03:31Venezuela, the team that has been working in the last times with Venezuela in
03:38different areas of work. There, I want to congratulate the signing of this

03:54platform as the Vice President of British Petroleum was saying. I want also to
04:00greet the opening of the office in Venezuela and it is a Venezuelan woman who is at the
04:08lead of British Petroleum in our country. Luisa, I will give you welcome and we
04:16must continue moving forward. The return of British Petroleum to Venezuela has
04:20important areas of work as they were mentioned in Coquina and in Loran and now
04:30with the signing of this memorandum of understanding what has to do with the
04:36exploration of offshore gas. The return of British Petroleum is a show, a clear show
04:43of the future that we want to build for Venezuela and the relations and energy
04:47relations that they are relations of respect that be relations and cooperation
04:54based in win-win of shared benefit that it is a benefit for the development of the
05:02Venezuelan people. We have said this what we are doing in our energy agenda
05:08international we are diversifying and developing it and it's all for the
05:14well-being of the Venezuelan people. We have created two sovereign funds so
05:20that all incomes that come from these alliances that we are signing and that
05:26will have fruitful results in the near future is for the well-being of our workers for
05:34the social protection of the people in health, education, in housing, in food and
05:40it's also as is led in the other sovereign fund for the development of vital
05:47infrastructure in Venezuela, power, water, roads. Altogether what all this represents
05:55well-being for the Venezuelan people. So these firm steps that we are giving we are
06:00giving them in favor of our country and we welcome that British Petroleum
06:05joins this initiative and they can bring to this relation of complementarity and
06:13cooperation of respect and of shared development. Thank you very much and welcome.
