00:00Kristen, what exactly happened here?
00:04Well, the investigation started back in 2023 when police attended a property in Rochester
00:10for an unrelated case. When they got inside, they found Georgie Wiltshire, Hayden Reed and Jamie
00:16Cordell. Police then searched a property and found a burner phone, crack cocaine, heroin, cash,
00:22deal bags, tick lists and digital scales. In total, there was 125 drug wraps with a street value of
00:29around £6,000. All three men were arrested and charged with supplying drugs, then later released
00:36on court bail while the investigation continued. Officers later looked through the phones they'd
00:42seized and found thousands of bulk messages sent to drug users across the Medway towns from what
00:47was known as the Alfie line. But in June 2025, while Jamie Cordell was still waiting to go on trial,
00:54police say he was caught continuing to work for that same line with a man called Jamal Robinson.
01:01Cordell was later arrested in Birmingham and brought back to Kent, while Robinson was arrested in
01:05Chatham after failing to stop. And officers found him with another burner phone, which they say was
01:10being used as the current Alfie line phone. I see. And Kristen, what exactly were they charged with?
01:18Well, all four men were charged with being concerned with the supply of Class A drugs. But Jamie Cordell
01:25and Georgie Wiltshire were also charged with being concerned with the supply of cannabis, a Class B drug.
01:31While Cordell and Reid were also charged with acquiring criminal property, all four men pleaded guilty.
01:37At Maidstone Crown Court, Cordell, who is 20 and from Birmingham, was jailed for four years and three months.
01:42Jamal Robinson, 25 and from Birmingham, was jailed for three years and nine months.
01:47Georgie Wiltshire, 21 from Rochester, two years and seven months.
01:52And then Hayden Reid, 23 from Gillingham, was given a two-year sentence, suspended for two years.
02:00I see. And what exactly have the police said?
02:05Well, in a statement, the Detective Constable James Lackin said the offences formed part of an organised
02:11operation supply of cocaine and heroin within Medway. He said that the case is a reminder that
02:18those who profit from supplying drugs in towns can expect sustained and determined action with
02:23offenders identified and brought before the courts.
02:26Thanks a lot.
