A convicted drug boss who returned to dealing cocaine and heroin while on licence has been jailed for more than twelve years after police uncovered his million pound operation.
00:00It was a life built on greed, glamour and deception, but one that's now ended behind bars.
00:07Joe Haverall, aged 32, from Emerson's Green in South Gloucestershire, was found to be running a large-scale drugs network from within the South West region, while still on licence for a previous offence.
00:20Detectives from the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit say he used encrypted phones to control the movement of heroin and cocaine, worth more than a million pounds.
00:31During the investigation, officers seized around 10 kilograms of cocaine and 4 kilograms of heroin, along with £80,000 in cash and more than £30,000 in cryptocurrency.
00:44At Bristol Crown Court, he was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison for leading the operation.
00:53Three other men were also jailed for their part in the scheme.
00:57Ben Bignall, aged 37, from Wychurch Lane, acted as Haverall's main distributor and received 8 years and 3 months.
01:05Dean Chick, also 37, from Knoll, was stopped with more than £31,000 in cash.
01:12He was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months.
01:14And Stefan Dan, aged 33, from Nalzi, who worked as a courier, was jailed for 5 years and 7 months.
01:23Detective Chief Inspector Adam Smith said Haverall showed a complete disregard for the harm caused by drugs,
01:31living instead for high-value cars, designer clothes and expensive watches.
01:35He added that the group's conviction proves police will be relentless in pursuing those who profit from drug supply across local communities.
