00:00But we wanted to get into the Commanders and where they rank right now
00:05in the NFC East, in the NFL.
00:08Pete Prisco came out with his NFL power rankings.
00:12His post-draft power rankings.
00:15Yes, let me preface this by saying,
00:17if you look at some of these value charts,
00:20we talked about Warren Sharp.
00:21I saw one on a different site yesterday.
00:24Some people love the Commanders draft.
00:28They have rated it number one.
00:30Because of?
00:32I guess they love the Sonny Stiles value number one.
00:35Like Antonio Williams, he can just kind of keep going down.
00:38I think Sharp is the one that pointed out.
00:40Was it Sharp?
00:41Yes, Sharp.
00:42That they didn't reach on any of them until they got to quarterback.
00:45They all were sort of good value.
00:47They were all ranked higher than where they picked them, allegedly.
00:51Likewise, I think the Niners are getting killed.
00:53They were getting dragged.
00:55They're reaching on more of theirs.
00:56And then trading out of the first,
00:59and their first pick was in the second.
01:01They took Stribbling, the receiver from Ole Miss.
01:03And a lot of people had Stribbling way down in the wide receiver rankings.
01:06But we'll see.
01:08So where do you think Pete Prisco would have the Commanders,
01:13who finished with four wins last season?
01:16Awful season.
01:17I was kind of surprised by this number.
01:20All right, so you've seen it.
01:21Oh, yeah, yeah.
01:21I look, too.
01:23I'm going to guess he has them at, I mean, you guys are making it sound like they're pretty low.
01:28I was surprised it was this low.
01:3021.
01:31Keep going.
01:32It's lower.
01:3225.
01:33Keep going.
01:3426.
01:3526.
01:36He projects.
01:37I thought it might have been in that 21 range, maybe 23.
01:40I didn't think he'd have.
01:42Now, I don't know if he's basing that on a lot of that on just last year's performance.
01:47I just don't know if you could put them that low based on what they've added.
01:51They've added so many players, especially in free agency.
01:53I think they also have uncertainty because they, you know,
01:55and he talks about the changes in coordinators.
01:58True.
01:58Kind of two unknowns, an offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator.
02:01Yep.
02:01And then, obviously, Jaden's health.
02:04Right, right, right.
02:05If Jaden's healthy and plays, you know, 15, 16, 17 games.
02:07They're better than that.
02:08They're going to be way better than 26.
02:09Yeah.
02:10In my opinion.
02:11I agree.
02:11I think that's pretty low.
02:12Yeah.
02:13I thought Prisco was back on the commander bandwagon.
02:16I guess not.
02:17Not yet, anyway.
02:18Maybe he's down on.
02:19He's not a believer.
02:20Maybe he's just down on Jaden because he was injured all of last year.
02:24Maybe he's down on those coordinators.
02:26I mean, I think he's just.
02:27Maybe he doesn't love the draft.
02:28I don't know.
02:29Man, the Cardinal, he really hates the Cardinals.
02:31He has them ranked below the Dolphins, and everybody knows the Dolphins are pressing
02:35the reset button in Miami.
02:37He has the Cardinals ranked 32nd.
02:39Yeah, I mean, he's got the commanders just above the Jets, Raiders, Titans, Browns, Dolphins,
02:46Cardinals.
02:46Yeah, it's not.
02:47Those are some bad.
02:47He's got them with the worst of the worst.
02:49Not a great neighborhood to be in.
02:50He's got them right there.
02:51All right, but if you went through it from top to bottom, all right, who are you going
02:55to put the commanders above?
02:57I'll just rip through the top teams, and you can work our way down.
03:00Yep.
03:00Seahawks defending champions, Rams, not putting it ahead of them, Bills, Broncos, Jaguars.
03:08Jaguars, he's got at 13 and four next year.
03:11He loves the Jaguars.
03:13He's got the 49ers, Packers, Cowboys, number eight.
03:16Surprising how high they are.
03:18Chargers, Bears.
03:19That's his top 10.
03:21So would you put the commanders ahead of any of those teams?
03:23Well, of course not.
03:23I'll give you a few teams I'd put them ahead of.
03:25So Patriots, 11, Chiefs, 12, Eagles, 13, Ravens, 14.
03:29Stop me when you like the commanders better than the team.
03:33Texans, 15.
03:34I might have an issue with the Texans.
03:36Even though their defense is amazing, I understand how good it is.
03:39I have real question marks about their offense and CJ Stroud.
03:44I don't think that's fair, but they make the playoffs every year.
03:48I understand, but that's a team I feel like is going to take a step back.
03:53Buccaneers, 16.
03:55Nope.
03:56Bengals, 17.
03:57Probably.
03:58He's got the Lions, 18.
03:59I know that's way down.
04:00I mean, they did miss the playoffs last year.
04:04Yeah, they were 9-8.
04:05I know, but I'd still have them above Washington.
04:08Vikings.
04:09I'm not a believer in Kyler Murray.
04:10I'm not a believer.
04:12I'm just not.
04:13I'm not a believer in their entire quarterback room.
04:16Kyler Murray, my guy, JJM.
04:18Yep.
04:19I mean, there's a reason they brought in Kyler Murray.
04:20I would have them pretty close.
04:22Yeah, I think that they're –
04:23I think those teams are comparable.
04:25I'll tell you I'd have them above because we don't know what's going on in Pittsburgh
04:30with Aaron Rodgers.
04:31They just slapped a transition tag on Aaron Rodgers.
04:34I'd put him above Pittsburgh.
04:35I'd put him above the Saints.
04:37And I'd probably put him above the Giants.
04:38Yeah, having the Commanders ranked below both the Saints and the Falcons,
04:43I feel like is disrespectful towards the Commanders.
04:47Yeah.
04:48And they're right below the Giants.
04:51Okay, maybe they're neck and neck.
04:52You're going to run Tua and the Falcons above Jaden Daniels and the Commanders?
04:58I don't know what team – I mean, there's a couple teams I'd have him above.
05:00I just didn't think they'd be – he'd have him that low.
05:03So, I thought maybe 20, 30, 22, 23.
05:07I kind of have a problem with the Giants ahead of us, to be honest.
05:10I don't know.
05:10I'd put us in the middle of the pack until proven otherwise.
05:13I mean, who's a better quarterback when healthy, Jaden or Jackson Dart?
05:17I don't think there's any comparison there.
05:19Correct.
05:20I mean, even with a banged-up Jaden, we won five wins.
05:22They won four.
05:23Yeah.
05:24We won five games.
05:25Whatever.
05:26Whatever.
05:27I was just a little surprised by that.
05:29I thought that was low.
05:30Yeah.
05:30I thought Pete was one of those guys that liked the draft.
05:33Most people liked the draft.
05:34I mean, you'd be hard-pressed to find somebody that really didn't like the draft, right?
05:39The Commanders draft?
05:40Most people gave it A or B.
05:42Yeah.
05:42These guys gave it B-.
05:44I think just from the lack of quantity.
05:47Well, I can't get that excited about two sixth-rounders and a seventh-rounder.
05:50I mean, seventh-rounder's never going to play.
05:52No, the quarterback's not going to play.
05:54Right.
05:54Even though Bill played a big role last year.
05:57Well, that's a little different.
05:58RBs are different than – I mean, seventh-round quarterbacks.
06:00This one's not going to play, yeah.
06:01Yeah, he's going to play over Gene Daniels.
06:03No, no.
06:04I'm just saying –
06:04I realize there's the Brock Purdy's of the world.
06:07Trust me.
06:07I'm usually in the camp where I look at a seventh-rounder and I sneer and I'm like,
06:10well, that guy's not going to make any sort of impact.
06:12But they've proven they can make an impact.
06:15Yeah.
06:15They just chose to go with a developmental quarterback.
06:20I think the Commanders – it all comes down to – I mean, it's obvious –
06:24Jaden Daniels' health.
06:26Mm-hmm.
06:26If he plays – if he starts and finishes 15 games or more, they're going to have a chance
06:33to make the playoffs.
06:35Correct.
06:35If he plays, you know, seven, eight games and finishes four of them, that's going to
06:40like last year, even with an improved roster.
06:44Yeah.
06:45I don't think that'll happen, though.
06:47I don't know.
06:48Who knows?
06:48What did you say if he plays eight games?
06:50If he plays a similar amount to last season, where he finishes four games, I don't care
06:55how much they've improved the defense, they're going to win five games.
06:58Yeah.
06:58I agree.
06:59I mean, if he gets hurt again or has nagging injuries and he's out for half the year,
07:04if not more, then you've got to start talking about possibly looking at other quarterbacks
07:09down the road.
07:10Ooh, that's going to be a tough conversation if that's –
07:13That's fine.
07:14If you can't count on your number two pick to be on the field –
07:17I'm not disagreeing with you.
07:18I'm just saying that that's going to be a major setback for the organization.
07:22Oh, I get it.
07:23If they have to –
07:24Now, that being said, I don't think he's going to be – I mean, unless something bad
07:27happens like ACL, I don't think he's going to be on the injured list for half the season.
07:32He's a smart kid, too.
07:33I think he's going to play more than half the season, if not most of the season.
07:35As competitive as he is, I think he'll probably make a little more concerted effort
07:39to get down and protect himself a little bit more.
07:42Yeah.
07:42I mean, he's still going to be competitive and go for those first downs, but –
07:44And then Blau will probably, you know, he'll change the offense where they protect him
07:49a little bit more.
07:50And they're better defensively, so I don't think they'll have to be on the field as much.
07:55Yeah, I thought it was interesting.
07:56I listened – I don't know how I caught it, but you guys – I think I just caught it,
08:01came up on my social media, the interview or something, the interview you guys did with
08:04Jay.
08:06And Jay talked about when he was in war rooms that he always liked to draft defense to
08:12make – you know, because he always felt like he could drum up offense, but, you know,
08:15make the defense better, and it makes my life easier.
08:19And I think they did a lot of that.
08:21They bolstered the defense quite a bit.
08:23We'll see.
08:23If Sonny Stiles is the real deal and O.A. can produce, the defense could be pretty good.
08:29I'm telling you, Chanel's my guy.
08:31I think Chanel's going to be a stalwart.
08:32We talked about this on Monday.
08:34If you had to look right now post-draft, since we didn't get your opinion, what is the unit
08:40that you're most worried about?
08:47Might still be – maybe it's a secondary.
08:51That's where most people come down to.
08:53Maybe the receiver, because I still like a little bit more depth there, whatever.
08:57Those are kind of the two areas we talked about.
08:58Yeah.
08:59Some people thought they might go corner, and maybe they would have if Delaney was available.
09:03I thought somebody also made a great point.
09:05That's what I tried to say, too, a lot, is that people – you know, if they drafted a
09:09six-round corner, that doesn't solve your problem.
09:12They just got a guy in the sixth round who might be able to help.
09:15Right.
09:15You know, and then if you hit a home run, then you might have a real contributor.
09:20But, you know, on the whole, just because they didn't draft one in the sixth or seventh
09:24round doesn't really mean that much.
09:26They weren't going to likely get a ton of help with a six-round corner.
09:30True, true, true.
09:31That's why I gave –
09:32You can't address every need.
09:33You can't.
09:34And that's why I gave the draft a B- because they only had a first and a third.
09:39And once you start getting into the fifth, sixth, seventh, you can't really bank on
09:43those guys making the team.
09:45Although, the lineman that they got –
09:48The center?
09:48Yeah.
09:49Oh, Matt Goulbin?
09:50Yeah, he's played everywhere.
09:52He's played guard, center.
09:54Yeah, I mean, he'll probably make the team and be a depth guy.
09:57He might be a contributor.
09:58I think you can get a center in this sixth round.
10:01So, the next step for them that we'll hear coming up in May, just days away,
10:07you'll have a rookie minicamp.
10:09They have something called the Rookie Football Development Program, May 11th.
10:15Yeah.
10:16So, you'll get your first, like, glimpse at some of these guys in a jersey.
10:20I'm telling you, I think Antonio Williams is going to be super exciting.
10:23Just the way – he's just super twitchy, the way he runs his routes, the way he runs,
10:28the way he kind of gets guys going one way, and then, you know, gets their hips moving
10:32one way, and then he goes the other way.
10:33That little wiggle that he has to him.
10:35He's got a lot of opportunity, too.
10:36He's going to be super exciting to watch.
10:38You've been convinced that Aiyuk is going to end up here.
10:40Are you still convinced?
10:41Yeah, but I'm not as convinced that he's going to be –
10:45like, we've got to see the guy.
10:46We've got to see him, you know, see how good a shape he's in health-wise.
10:50I mean, that picture was concerning.
10:51You saw him look all bloated, getting off the plane with the dogs.
10:55Yeah.
10:55That was the kind of concerning picture.
10:57I think the more concerning thing is we've seen – like, for a guy that's putting out
11:01videos and pictures on Instagram, we've seen no workout stuff.
11:04Yeah.
11:05It's like, hey, this is me getting off my jet.
11:07Hey, here's me sitting on the jet with a pudgy face.
11:11Yeah.
11:11I mean, it reminds me of the Debo stuff, but, yeah, we'll see.
11:15I don't know.
11:16I'm not as super high on Aiyuk as I might have been.
11:20The pictures did affect me, I have to say.
11:22You were a little bit shook.
11:23It's a little unfair, but it's true.
11:25Have you seen the opposite online?
11:28I saw it yesterday of Olivia Wilde.
11:31Yeah.
11:32Dude, those pictures are disturbing the side-by-side.
11:35They're saying it's a Zempick face.
11:37Yeah.
11:38Where, you know, she's a beautiful woman and just looks super thin now.
11:43And so her face is hollowed out, almost like a skeleton.
11:47Now, maybe in the previous picture, she had, like, those eye backs, which I definitely have.
11:53And she was covering with makeup.
11:55But the side-by-side is scary.
11:57I always, when I see Ariana Grande, I just get sad.
12:01She used to be so pretty.
12:02Oh, she's just a bag of bones.
12:04She's a bag of bones now.
12:05It is scary to look at.
12:06It's terrible.
12:06It's scary.
12:07She's so talented.
12:08She's tiny.
12:09Hey, somebody should send her to Splunkers.
12:11Give her a burger, custard, fries, the works.
12:16Give her everything.
12:16Give her everything.
12:17Hang out with the Royals.
12:18Give her one of everything on the menu.
12:19Yeah.
12:20Hook her up.
12:20I'm with you, Cakes.
12:22I'm with you.
12:22But, yeah, I saw those pictures.
12:23They're going viral.
12:24She just wave her magic wand from Wicked, and she could show up in Front Royal along with the Royals.
12:29Did you see Wicked?
12:31I've seen both.
12:32Wow.
12:33I saw, I guess I'm a Wicked guy.
12:35Well, you love Wizard of Oz, the originals, your top five movie.
12:39Wizard of Oz, Wizard of Oz, we're not sure which it is.
12:41Saw the play, and saw both movies.
12:45Wow.
12:46The second movie wasn't great.
12:47You were all in on Wizard of Oz.
12:49You loved the Yellow Brick Road.
12:51The Yellow Brick Road is great.
12:52Munchkins everywhere.
12:54Not the Dunkin' Donuts munchkins.
12:57Like, little people munchkins.
12:58What's better, Wizard of Oz or, like, the Chocolate Factory?
13:03Willy Wonka.
13:03Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?
13:05Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
13:05That movie?
13:06Yeah, yeah.
13:07It's close.
13:08Those are both great movies.
13:10Wizard of Oz, better.
13:11Wizard of Oz, better?
13:12Yeah, it's better.
13:13You know why he's saying Wizard of Oz?
13:15You missed this.
13:16So, you know that the mentalist that was at the White House Correspondence Center who's
13:21been famous last couple years?
13:23See, everybody's called him Oz.
13:24You immediately called him Oz.
13:26Yeah.
13:26Drab did some research.
13:27I thought it was Oz.
13:28He did some research.
13:29Apparently, it's Oz Pearlman.
13:31Yeah.
13:31Okay.
13:31Whatever.
13:32It looks like Oz.
13:32Yeah.
13:33It should be Oz.
13:34I'm sure.
13:35So, now, for the rest of the show, as long as we do this stupid show, Cakes is always
13:39going to call it the Wizard of Oz.
13:41Yes.
13:41You know he's going to do that.
13:43Pretty much.
13:43I'll mix it in, but there'll be a lot of Wizard of Oz references.
13:46Yes.
13:47All right.
13:47All right.
13:48Got to take a break.
13:49We're the junkies.
13:49Keep it here.
