00:00I always thought I was prepared for a fatal desenlace in my life for the effects of violence.
00:07I tell you very clearly, that is the destiny that I have to live in
00:12through all these political circumstances and vicissitudes.
00:17And I wasn't really prepared to face a grave disease.
00:23So it took me for a surprise.
00:27And of course, when they say that they have cancer, it's a strong impact.
00:37Of course, when they are diagnosed with a disease that is considered a synonym of death,
00:43it's perhaps the first reaction.
00:47But I've been able to know this better.
00:50Part of the sense of being able to know it publicly is to help other people.
00:57Not because I consider myself superior to other human beings,
01:03but simply because knowing this,
01:06one can transmit messages of encouragement and hope to other people.
01:11And the reality is that today the cancer is a cure.
01:15And I have known many people who have allowed me to do these types of accelerations
01:21and who have been in my environment in the last few months.
01:24So, part of the sense of this experience is that I leave something important and positive for other people.
01:37Well, there have been moments in which the medical definitions have been drastic.
01:45The moment of the surgery, the moment of the treatment, the consequences of the surgery,
01:53the moment of the chemotherapy, the moment of the chemotherapy,
01:55all those are difficult.
01:57And there are days in which they are more difficult than others.
02:01In those moments, there must be a lot of tranquility
02:05and to avoid every thing and every problem in their moment,
02:09not every problem at the time.
02:20Yes, it is true.
02:21That is an episode that has come to my mind and my sensibility in this stage.
02:27Because we had to experience that situation that was very difficult.
02:33And also, we learned a lot about how to face these types of situations.
02:39And that example has served me, without a doubt.
02:42Of course, my mother was very brave in the moment of evocating her disease
02:46and until the last moment, she maintained an attitude of trying to find a solution.
02:53Algo that in a certain moment, it was already seen as a situation and a fatal situation.
02:58I have taken this as an experience.
03:01It is an experience that has aspects very deceitful.
03:06And I have learned, little by little by little, in these months,
03:09to live with that reality.
03:11So, my first reaction was to adapt me to this new situation in my life.
03:20And to have to quickly focus on a treatment and a surgery intervention.
03:24And to have to be able to reflect on the steps that I was going to give in the immediate
03:32future.
03:32What I was going to do was that, in some way, I had to compatibilize my new situation with my
03:38work,
03:39which is fundamental.
03:43How can I get to know?
03:47How can I get to know?
03:49I have to know.
03:57There is no way to get my life.
03:58I have to know.
03:58I have to know.
03:58I have to know.
03:58I have to know.
03:59I have to know.
04:02I have to know.
04:19This is the place of San Onofre, in the midst of victims, in the midst of the people victimized,
04:30this type of diseases are experiences that confront the person with very deep aspects of their existence.
04:42It is a circumstance in which we have to think, not as a kind of capricho,
04:51but as a kind of imperative in the essential issues of life.
04:59What is the most important, what is the most appreciated, what is the most appreciated,
05:05how to not lose time in issues that are sometimes banals and accesorias.
05:17And also how one can be a better human being against other human beings who suffer similar circumstances.
05:28I think this is an experience that leads the person to be better, or at least aspirate to be better.
05:37This is the the sound of the body than the body.
05:44This is the sound of a human being against other human beings.
