Diversas organizaciones alrededor del mundo convocaron a un Paro Internacional de Mujeres que se llevará a cabo hoy, 8 de marzo, fecha en que se conmemora el Día Internacional de la Mujer. Miles de mujeres en más de 30 países suspenderán por horas, o durante todo el día, su actividad cotidiana para pedirle a sus gobiernos justicia e igualdad. 00:00There are several organizations around the world

00:02called an international support of women,

00:04the 8th of March,

00:05the date of the International Day of Women.

00:08Thousands of women in more than 30 countries

00:10will go to the streets and will be suspended

00:11during a few hours or during the day

00:14to ask their states justice and equality.

00:16Why do we stop women?

00:18I stop because women have the right to decide

00:21about our body.

00:22The 13% of women in Colombia

00:24die by bad habits.

00:27We have the right to decide

00:29how to stop and if we want to stop.

00:31I stop because of the wage inequality

00:33because as women,

00:35we do not have our rights guaranteed

00:37because having the same job

00:39that men, we earn 45% less than them

00:41and we work inside and outside of the house.

00:44I stop against the feminicide

00:45because every 26 hours

00:47they kill us only for the fact that we are women.

00:49I want to go home, I want to be free

00:51and not brave.

00:52I stop against the women

00:54because the global report

00:55of the ONU of 2016

00:57said that the 71% of the victims

00:59are women and women.

01:02I stop for that

01:03the work of women in the home

01:04is recognized as a work.

01:06The men use their free time

01:08to develop their abilities

01:10and their personality.

01:11The women use that free time

01:13to work in the family's offices.

01:16I stop against the gender violence

01:18to walk free by the streets

01:20without having insults

01:21or irrespective

01:21and much less

01:22to feel threatened.

01:23I stop to protest

01:25against the street

01:26and the daily violence

01:28that we have to bear

01:29every day.

01:30I stop because I want

01:31my children

01:31and my children

01:32have the opportunity

01:33to have a less sexist

01:35and less discriminatory education.

01:36Ah, and I stop

01:38for the women

01:39leaders

01:40and human rights

01:41who have fallen

01:42in the middle of the conflict.

01:44I stop because

01:44in the world

01:45there are people

01:46who believe that women

01:47are inferior

01:47with less intelligence

01:49and that for that

01:50we deserve to win less.

01:51If you don't believe me,

01:53just take it away

01:53to the European Parliament.

01:55I stop because

01:56beyond all these

01:57radical feminist theories

01:59there is a reality

02:00that hurts us.

02:01There are millions

02:02of women and girls

02:03who have no access

02:04to education,

02:05health

02:05and are victims

02:06of physical and psychological harm.

02:08It is an opportunity

02:09to join us

02:10and to see

02:11a reality

02:12that many of them

02:13still ignore.

02:13This March 8th

02:14I stop for

02:15to respect our rights

02:16as women.

02:17For all these reasons,

02:19the women
