00:01Hello, my name is Marta Lucía Osorno, this is my name, I am a person sorda.
00:13To explain how we see the world and how we see the information,
00:19well, I would say that it is based on what visual,
00:24I would say that the communication with the audience is not easy because there is a gap there,
00:30they always tend to segregate the people sorda,
00:34we do not have access to all the information as we want,
00:37so we are segregating certain spaces of participation.
00:41So, for example, to go to the ONU, to travel to Ginebra,
00:46it also requires the service of interpretation of language,
00:49so I can't reach this service, so there is also cost to pay the service of interpretation.
00:56Well, this requires a struggle for the participation of the people sorda and for the equality.
01:06In the moment I started working with the coalition, it was about a year,
01:14and what motivated me to reach the coalition is that I had previously worked as leader of the sorda community
01:21and also participated in different spaces regarding the disability of human rights.
01:28Internationally, I participated in the World War II,
01:32working on the incidences to approve the convention.
01:38So, I was there participating in the construction of the convention
01:42with different international organizations.
01:45So, it is interesting that here in this work that comes from Colombia,
01:49that we have to be able to implement in that country,
01:54taking into account the respect of human rights.
01:58My interest in participating,
02:01supporting this work on the coalition,
02:04is because I have two years working on the construction and implementation
02:10and in the demands of the state of the guarantees and effectiveness of human rights
02:16for people with disabilities.
02:18So, although the government has been implementing certain initiatives,
02:24they need to improve processes.
02:26So, the idea is that the civil society can also participate
02:32and make some incidences and make certain negotiations
02:36so that they make suggestions to the state colombian
02:39and make sure that we have the capacity for incidences
02:42in these types of issues
02:45to face the rights of people with disabilities.
02:48The civil society can also be able to do
02:54and for the people with disabilities,
