00:00It is a text from Indira Páez, who is venezolana.
00:04Our director Juan Carlos Mazo made an adaptation for Colombia.
00:08This work has done in New York, Miami, and many places, and has been a success.
00:12It is a work that talks about the great taboo of death,
00:17but where they are not going to suffer, but rather they are going to cry, they are going to die.
00:22I am starting my year with a wonderful theater,
00:25which is the Astor Plaza, with an incredible elenco, with a great direction.
00:31Interpreted by an amazing elenco of actors, like Lucho Arango,
00:36like Paula Castaño, Mabel Moreno, Yuri Vargas, Abril Schreiber.
00:41We are very happy because it is a work with a really new treatment,
00:44a great montage.
00:46It is a not conventional montage, there are several scenes,
00:49there are several scenes that then have to be done with the death show.
00:51We don't have a fixed character, but we are changing from one character to another.
00:56They also have a special challenge, they must represent 6 or 8 characters each one during the whole of the
01:01work.
01:02For example, I am a character, I am a employee of service costeño,
01:06and suddenly I am a peluquera santandereana, and so I am changing,
01:10and all the actors and actresses have those changes.
01:14The most complicated of the work has been the time, because there are independent scenes,
01:20and within those scenes, the actors represent several characters.
01:24The montage was very, very fast, very fast.
01:27It was almost three weeks, so it has been a lot of work, but I think it was quite incredible.
01:35For example, the most interesting story is that Marianela González,
01:39one of the actresses, has panic scene, which is quite fun within the actors,
01:45but she is a actress who has dedicated her career to the TV and the cinema,
01:49so she is a bit freaked out and paralyzed only in essayions.
01:53I have never done theater, I have a favor to the public in live,
01:57but I think it is the time in my career to face that challenge.
02:02I talk about a topic that is strong, but also a point and a different view.
02:07It is a opportunity for a reflection about a serious topic.
02:13The death is so natural as life, and it is inevitable,
02:15so why not divert ourselves a little bit of the death?
02:19We are not blaming the death, of course, we are doing a different treatment,
02:23different, different.
02:24For that they are crying and for that they have another vision
02:26to the death, they cannot lose.
