00:37:26rogel romero the original owner of romero's hired me as a line cook
00:37:31that was my culinary school and so much more what do you mean so much more
00:37:38everything good in my life has come from romero's
00:37:42i worked there for almost 10 years it's where i fell in love with my husband mauricio
00:37:48raul and socorro his wife became my family it was because of our success there that
00:37:55i started doing segments for san antonio in the morning
00:37:59then the local show then alta cocina okay so what's happening at romero's now
00:38:05are you just pitching in while you're home or is it more
00:38:09i'm working on a new menu the old favorites but with some new twists
00:38:14not to mention better ingredients so how about a sneak peek of any of the
00:38:19new dishes not just yet i'm still in the experimentation
00:38:23phase but don't write that no i'll write something like
00:38:27she was scored with her response cool that's good a lot better than she has no clue
00:38:37can you talk to me about the food a little bit i'm sure you've kicked around a few ideas
00:38:42i want to show san antonio what i've learned in l.a the last five years
00:38:46but keep the low price point romero's been around for three decades
00:38:51but i want to make this city see us with new eyes to fall in love all over again

00:39:59i was a big fan of your first show adela's kitchen i saw every episode tell me more
00:40:07the food you made was simple and tasty with a lot of local influence
00:40:12as a matter of fact i was able to make it at home without totally messing up so also um
