00:00Well, it's been 11 years of the tragedy in Bangladesh.
00:05And how has this influenced the industry of the fashion industry?
00:08I think the main changes have had to do with the conscience
00:13in front of the social injustices that have been committed
00:16in certain moments, let's say, in the productive chain.
00:20The fashion industry has failed to correct the mistakes that had in the present
00:26that had hidden behind a building, but just thanks to the social media and social media
00:32the world is full of reality.
00:35Today, consumers and buyers of fashion are aware of that this continues to happen.
00:42I think it has also been a call to the preservation,
00:46not only of the human survival, but also of the planet.
00:50And I think it has been very important
00:52because it has placed within the fashion industry
00:55a social justice discourse that is important to have in mind
01:00because it invites us to work in a different way,
01:03to work in a different way, to relationship with people in a different way
01:06and, above all, to think about a type of policies
01:09that help these kinds of injustices not commit
01:13through the productive chains.
01:16We see that the sustainability today is not a tendency,
01:20it is a pillar of transformation empresarial.
01:22Cada vez more, the brands of the system moda
01:24are worried about who has the clothes, who is the type of product
01:28that today the consumer is using,
01:30and also for dignifying the offices.
01:32We also find that today the brands are worried
01:35about the type of material that they use,
01:37by all the conditions that have the employees
01:40around the production, whether
01:41a product tangible or even a service of moda.
01:45I think that in the country,
01:46we have, in one or other way,
01:49some labor laws that make us
01:53some advantage in front of countries
01:55where the laws are a bit more relaxed.
01:58If the laws are a bit more relaxed,
02:01it is possible that this type of type of material.
02:04And lastly,
02:06this is not a tendency like this,
02:08but that in Colombia
02:09the brands of moda
02:11what they do is basically
02:13to generate a production
02:15much more responsable
02:16with the environment.
02:17That's why we have
02:19marcas in the beginning of the value chain
02:21where they have their plant
02:22treatment of water,
02:23where we are using biomaterials.
02:25Even in insumos,
02:26we find that
02:27we have use of subproducts
02:29like the cocoa,
02:31like the piña,
02:32like the cactus.
02:33There are examples
02:34in Latin America,
02:35but I think that
02:36that has been the impact
02:37of the majority
02:37is how we can take advantage
02:39of the environment
02:40that we have
02:40without spending the resources
02:42that we already have.
