00:00We can move and roll with it, but Luke is in with us.
00:04Tyler is on the ones and twos.
00:06If you're on YouTube and Twitch, you can see Tyler right there as he is waving.
00:10It'll be a fun, fun day.
00:13Before we get to that question, be thinking about that.
00:15After everything the Texans have done, do you look at this team
00:19and think the Texans, this team they've built,
00:23this is a team that's a Super Bowl level team.
00:27Do you feel that?
00:28Do you feel that?
00:30We will address that, but I do want to address this, Luke.
00:34Kevin Durant, Sham Sharani of ESPN was on Get Up this morning,
00:39and he said it does not look like he will play in Game 5.
00:44He is not expected to play in Game 5.
00:47Udoka spoke about two hours ago and said he did not practice today
00:51and just said a whole bunch of words, Salad.
00:55That was a lot of vagueness that made it seem like Shams is probably on to something,
01:00the way that he made those statements.
01:02But it looks like KD is going to miss his fourth game of the series.
01:09And obviously the Lakers can close this thing.
01:12Let's just get it off the table.
01:15And Luke, you are pretty – sometimes, Luke, you can be logical.
01:22All right, examples.
01:23Luke tried to tell us all about Cam Robbins.
01:26He was right.
01:27All right?
01:29That's about it.
01:29But, Luke, you can be – you can be – you can be logical, okay?
01:35What was – what's the other weird take Luke had?
01:38It wasn't sports-related at all.
01:39What was the – there was – there was – oh, I forgot what it was.
01:43God, there was one you had one that was real – that was real ridiculous.
01:46It doesn't like Taylor Mathis' best bets.
01:48Okay.
01:49Which we know everybody loves those things.
01:53You better be talking about – you better be talking about the betting portion of it.
01:56The walking bets.
01:57That's what it is.
01:58You better not be talking about the walking part, but the bet part.
02:02That better be the – yeah, that – for the other part.
02:04I don't know, Luke.
02:05Anyway.
02:07But I think you can think logically on this.
02:10And you can jump in this on the base power text line, 713-572-4610.
02:14In any way, do you think that KD can actually play and is just not doing it?
02:21In any way – like, it is making you – I don't believe –
02:25It is making you take a step and think like, yo, man, can he – is he really not able
02:32to go?
02:33Because I watch Aaron Gordon.
02:34Aaron Gordon has a hamstring and a half.
02:38And he was laboring and he tried it, but obviously he couldn't go.
02:43Yeah.
02:43Is there anything in you that's thinking KD, someone just texted in as a sellout?
02:48At KD, like, this is something different.
02:53There's part of me.
02:54Is it?
02:54You said, is there anything?
02:56Like, there is a little something.
02:58Very small percentage.
02:59I think it's all legitimate.
03:00Like, I was more upset when he didn't play game one and then, you know, just to come back game
03:04two.
03:06But now this part, I think, is a little more serious, obviously.
03:09But I'd be lying.
03:11It might be only 1% of me.
03:12But I think there is something in there that does wonder or ponder it.
03:15And I think another aspect –
03:17Yeah, exactly.
03:18There is.
03:19There's a small chance.
03:20And I think part of it, too, is Anthony Edwards has a similar, if not same, injury.
03:24So I'm curious to see, like, his timeline.
03:25See how long he's out for.
03:27Well, he's got – it's the ankle now, though, right?
03:28And it's the knee.
03:30Well, yeah, I guess, like, just like they're both, like, what, these bone –
03:33whatever the phrase they're using, both bone bruises, different parts of the legs, I guess.
03:37So that might not be a fair comparison.
03:39But seeing what it means for him and how quickly he can come back.
03:42But, no, I don't think Durant's ever been – he's ever had that reputation of being, like, soft and sitting
03:47out.
03:48And he plays every game.
03:50But it's not a Durant thing.
03:51I think it's any player.
03:52And when it comes to the playoffs, when they're on the sideline, there's always a small part of me that
03:57wonders.
03:58Like, can he be out there?
03:59Is he kind of being soft?
04:01Or is this a legitimate injury that he can't even, you know, get up and down the floor on?
04:04To the point you made, like, KD has never been – he has always been, like, called the classic hooper.
04:09Like, he wants to go.
04:12But, man, this feels just a tad excessive.
04:17Like, it just – it feels – it feels like, hey, man, let's stand out there and give it a
04:24go.
04:25Like, we're in a – these last two are in elimination games.
04:29It feels like the way that I've watched him – again, I'm with you.
04:35Logically, I'm with you.
04:37Yeah.
04:37I think KD, in some way, when he gets going, they feel like he can't.
04:42I'm just surprised, especially in the last two games, where your season is on the line.
04:48Like, I want – you all remember when KD played on that Tyler calf strain that he played on in
04:57Golden State?
04:58Big air quotes there, folks.
04:59Like, I don't know – I remember – I remember watching at any moment he's going to blow the Achilles.
05:03Like, at any moment.
05:05I remember watching.
05:06And they held him out, and then it was an elimination game, and he finally said,
05:10all right, man, I'm going to go ahead and try to do it.
05:11What, he lasted a quarter and a half before he went ahead and blew that thing out?
05:15Like, I just – I am surprised by the way I see him moving in some of these warm-ups
05:21that he has not at least stepped on the court to give it a go.
05:24So, that's just – just like the first couple – like, Aaron Gordon played the first five –
05:30well, I can't do it.
05:31Or, damn, man, Luke Canard is just blowing by me like – you know, like nobody.
05:35I am – that part is surprising to me, and that's the part where I'm – I'm wondering.
05:41Clearly, he's not going to be himself more effective.
05:45But, I mean, I feel like him just – his presence is him shooting – like, I'm surprised he hasn't
05:49given it
05:50just let me step on the court.
05:52That part is surprising to me.
05:54And maybe it's, you know, just now 37 years old, played the whole season,
05:57played on just about every game, and, you know, it's a little bit different now.
06:02Maybe the recovery is longer, or he doesn't feel as well, or he's just not as right as he gets
06:06older.
06:07But, yeah, you would think he would try to do everything he can to be out there.
06:12You know, it's funny because, like, Andrew Perloff had that take, I think that was last year,
06:15with Steph Curry of get him out there with those – whatever he had, the hamstring issues.
06:19And it was the champion in take-a-mania on Payne and Pendergast for, like, weeks going.
06:24And I don't want to admit to it, but I kind of agreed with Perloff of, like, it's the playoffs,
06:27and you're a great shooter.
06:29Like, just get out there and stand on the perimeter if you're Steph Curry.
06:32And the attention that you draw, if nothing, you could be a decoy.
06:36And so I'm sure this is just, like, meathead sports fan yelling into the clouds of, like,
06:41get out there and play.
06:42But, yeah, you know, you would think Durant would try to make some sort of effort.
06:46He wasn't even with the team, right?
06:47He wasn't even at the game for – was that game three?
06:51It's just the elimination games that he is – I am very surprised.
06:57Because it's one thing, like, we watch Ant – Anthony Edwards is not – he's not on the court, right?
07:04Like, there's not a pregame warm-up routine that he's doing.
07:08He's, like, he's legitimately just down.
07:10They're not playing him.
07:11But KD goes through, and when you look at him and you watch him go through the warm-ups,
07:16again, that doesn't mean it's the end-all, be-all.
07:18But when you watch him go through the pregame warm-ups and the movements when they get video on it,
07:23and it's an elimination game, I am surprised that he isn't just giving it a five-minute go.
07:31And then, all right, I mean, I can't go, and you're sitting – I'm a bit surprised.
07:36And that – I'm a bit surprised, Tyler, that it is Tuesday,
07:39and we have Shams already saying that it is unexpected for him to go on a –
07:47That's going to raise more question marks than anything.
07:49We've got a lot of hours between now and then.
07:52He's been getting around-the-clock treatment, right, from the end of it that it's happening.
07:58So that's it.
07:58I do think, as you said, that the injuries are legitimate.
08:03I'm just surprised that my man ain't stepping on it.
08:08We own Tuesday games tomorrow.
08:10How is Austin Reeves in a higher opportunity to play?
08:14They haven't ruled him out.
08:15Yeah.
08:16It's true.
08:17It's a good point.
08:18Durant, he's already got his trip to Cancun booked.
08:20He doesn't want to jeopardize it.
08:21See, I don't want to put that out there.
08:23I'm not saying that, but damn.
08:27I thought it would be a little quicker than that.
08:29And I'll be honest with you, though.
08:30At this point in the series, I'd rather him not play tomorrow night
08:34and let these youngsters – you're not going to win this series anyways.
08:37No team has ever come back down 3-0, and the Lakers are only getting healthier and better.
08:42Now you're going on the road, right?
08:44Your back's up against the wall.
08:45Well, I want more experience, more reps in these moments for the younger kids
08:50if you're just going to lose anyways.
08:51Okay.
08:51Well, I'm not going to go that far.
08:52I don't want Josh Kogi to just take those minutes.
08:55But, I mean, I'd rather have Kevin out there.
08:57But, okay.
08:58That's a take.
08:59Yeah.
08:59That's a take.
09:00That's right.
09:00They're not going to win the series anyways.
09:01Might as well further develop the younger kids.
09:03I agree there.
09:03All right.
