00:07Give room for your brethren. A wise woman once said to her daughter,
00:12I may be your biological mother, but I am your sister in Christ, because God is not a grandfather.
00:19He is our father. This truth reveals a powerful perspective. Every believer shares the same
00:26father and, therefore, the same spiritual family. Understanding God as our father helps us relate
00:33to one another with grace and humility. No one has a superior claim to God's blessings.
00:39When a brother experiences a breakthrough or a sister walks into success,
00:44our response should not be jealousy or resentment, but joy and gratitude to God.
00:50Scripture calls us to unity. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the
00:56bond of peace. This unity is not automatic. It requires intentional effort. Though we are all
01:03being sanctified, none of us has reached perfection. We are all growing, learning, and becoming more like
01:11Christ. Because of this, we must be quick to resolve conflicts and slow to take offense.
01:17Choosing peace preserves the bond we share as members of God's family. We are bound together
01:23by the same sacrifice, the precious blood of Jesus that brought us out of darkness into God's
01:29marvelous light. This shared identity means we were never designed to walk alone. Just as iron sharpens
01:37iron, we need one another for growth, strength, and accountability. There is power in unity.
01:44Jesus declared, Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
01:50and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. When believers stand together in agreement,
01:56God responds. To remain in God's love and continue growing in His mercy, His Word urges us,
02:03Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to
02:09eternal life. Make room for others. Extend grace. Choose unity.
02:14Reflection questions. How do I typically respond to the success or breakthroughs of others,
02:21especially fellow believers? Is there anyone I need to reconcile with to preserve unity in the
02:28body of Christ? In what ways can I intentionally contribute to peace within my spiritual community?
02:35Am I making room for others' growth or expecting perfection from them?
