00:30And I'm Kelsey, and we're getting married in Blue Ridge.
00:33We picked this amazing wedding venue.
00:36We're really excited to get married in the chapel and be able to walk out and ring that bell.
00:41It's going to be fun.
00:43Next time we ring this, it's going to mean something.
00:45Yeah, it will.
00:46We love it here so much.
00:48We've decided we want to leave Atlanta and move up to Blue Ridge full-time.
00:53Work came first for many years, so when it came time to find somebody, I was just at a different
00:57point in my life.
00:58I was driving through Atlanta, and there was this big billboard for a matchmaking company, and that just made all
01:03the sense in the world to me.
01:05It didn't take long to meet Kelsey.
01:07And for me, it was a little bit different.
01:09I took a couple of years off from dating to just focus on myself, and I happened to be doing
01:14a work event, and the matchmakers were hosting it.
01:18I gave them a call, and Chad was my third date.
01:22I didn't get a great start.
01:24I dropped out of high school.
01:25I meandered around for a while, working dead-end jobs, until one day I said, I know I'm better than
01:30this.
01:31So I went to college, worked my butt off.
01:33That's how he got his start and ended up with a master's degree and opened up his own business and
01:37is now able to do things like buying a million-dollar mountain house.
01:41For me, I'm really looking for a more luxurious home.
01:44I'm kind of leaning a little bit more towards that rustic style.
01:47I want to know that I'm in the mountains, and I want to feel that I'm in the mountains.
01:50It's all about the mountain views.
01:52Also, what's very important to us as we grow our family, we want room to expand, so a lot that's
01:57buildable that we can add on to as our needs change.
02:00Our budget is between $2 million to $3 million.
02:05For me, part of falling in love with Blue Ridge had to do with the town and the shopping and
02:11getting to explore.
02:12For me, it's a change of pace, a slower life, hopefully a better life.
02:16And we're looking forward to starting a family and raising our children in this kind of environment.
02:21So I think moving to Blue Ridge is going to be a defining moment for me.
02:25After coming up to Blue Ridge a few times, we kept on hearing around town that Brian was the guy
02:30to work with.
02:30So we went ahead and we gave him a call, and we're hoping that he's going to help us find
02:34the right house.
02:36The first home I'm showing, Chad and Kelsey, is just a 15-minute drive from Blue Ridge.
02:40It's a true mountain home with a lot large enough for them to build on.
02:45Okay, well, here we are.
02:47Wow, this is a very cool house.
02:50I like that view.
02:51I love the stone and the L-shaped porch.
02:53That's really nice.
02:54But it's actually called Chic Chalet.

03:04Now, I noticed we pulled into a carport.
03:06We're kind of expecting a garage.
03:07Yeah, garages aren't necessarily standard here in this area.
03:11I thought garages were standard, kind of like an appliance.
03:14I just didn't know that I'd need to put garage on my wish list.
03:17We definitely have some garages we can go look at on some of the properties.
03:20And there's actually space if we wanted to do an addition.

17:33The first house we looked at was the chic chalet, priced $2.8 million.
17:37I mean, I really like the house.
17:38We've talked about expanding and add another structure if we want to.
17:41And the lot was perfect for that.
17:43I really like the stonework and those floors were so unique.
17:47I didn't see that in any of the other houses we looked at.
17:49And that shower.
17:51It feels like you're showering outside.
17:53And what guy doesn't want that?

17:55And then being out on that deck, seeing that view, that felt really special, too.
18:00Downsides is it has a carport instead of a garage.

18:21And the listing price for that one is $3.5 million.

18:26I mean, there's not much to not like about that house.
18:28The interior design of the house, I mean, it was absolutely stunning.
18:32It was just so perfect.
18:33And then the way that it's set up for entertaining, I can just really see us having lots of family
18:38and friends there.
18:39It had the garage.
18:40Definitely checked that box.
18:42Views were spectacular.
18:43I think, is it too perfect?
18:45Is it too much like what we already have in Atlanta?
18:49I'm not sure.
18:50It could be, but it's a stunner.

18:55We're here at the last house, Sunset Ridge.
18:57$2.65 million.
18:58So it is the least expensive of those that we've looked at.
19:01I mean, this view is just unreal.
19:04This is kind of like one of those things you don't even want to look on the inside of the
19:07house.
19:07You just want to stay right here.
19:08This view can't be beat.
19:10I mean, if you want a mountain view, this is it.
19:12But this property doesn't have a garage.
19:16On the inside of this house, it was really, really nice.
19:19This house is rustic, but it also has a very luxe feel.
19:22And then having the multiple primary bedrooms, that seemed like that was going to be really good for entertaining.
19:29Also, you had a good call out earlier about the tub.
19:31We're going to have children.
19:33A tub would be nice to have.
19:34That's true.
19:35I don't want to necessarily say that those things would rule it out because I do love this.
19:39Maybe when we add the addition, we add the tub then.
19:43But remember, an addition would be costly because of this steep slope.
19:47So I think we have a decision that we've already pretty much made.
19:50I think I know which one I want.

20:25Even though this wasn't the style I originally pictured, I've become a big fan of the rustic feel.
20:31All the stonework, the woodwork, and the floors, it feels so luxe.
20:35You didn't necessarily have to have the same modern feel that we had in Atlanta.
20:39This is very luxurious in and of itself.
20:42And so I love it.
20:43I feel at home here.
20:45And I think our growing family will really enjoy it as well.
20:49And then we did actually just get married yesterday here in Blue Ridge.
20:53And it was absolutely amazing.
20:56And we got to enjoy the beautiful mountain weather, being outside and everything it had to offer.
21:02And so we've just fallen in love with Blue Ridge.
