03:11them the next level treatment i was born for this challenge i am a mom i have two of the

03:17boys in the entire world elevated kids food is something that i am absolutely going to nail
03:23listen with six kids at home trust me i know how hard it is to make food for kids that
03:28are hungry
03:28but once you find something that they love you make it a million times right yes chef
03:34all of the ingredients on the platform are drawn from humble childhood classics your job
03:39is to elevate those staples into something unforgettable

24:44they look great all right let's head on up to the top and we're going to start with a filipino
24:52inspired
24:53smashed breakfast burger with a kimchi aioli and some homemade fries i love the fact that it's
25:00filipino inspired kimchi mayo delicious incredible texture on the burger really amazing dish next up
25:08we have spaghetti and meatballs with a cherry tomato sauce and some italian seasoned roasted potatoes here
25:14on the side please be done meatballs please be done meatballs please be done meatballs
25:20meatballs and spaghetti uh childhood's absolute staple sauce beautifully done potatoes nice um
25:27i'm just concerned on the outside of that meatball whether it's dunked in the fryer because it's
25:32it's too hard and it would dry which is such a shame yeah this was one where the meatballs being
25:36a
25:36little smaller were to serve the dish 100 moving on we have a shrimp mac and cheese with caribbean
25:45spiced sweet potato wedges mac and cheese is delicious especially with those shrimp in there
25:50it's ooey gooey the depth of flavor is exceptional generally you don't find seafood and cheese working
25:57together this is incredible stunning dish lastly we have a steak and broccoli pizza with some sweet
26:04potato fries and a brown butter mornay this chef made their own pizza dough the new york strip beautifully
26:13cooked sweet potatoes delicious i think the big issue i've got here is with the dough on the verge of
26:19being undercooked the dough reads definitely very dense there was enough time in 30 minutes to allow
26:24that fermentation process to happen okay to the middle floor please
26:32this is a pork belly grilled cheese with a roasted tomato soup and some fries probably wasn't meant to have
26:39the soup half on the plate though no barely made it trust me i'm glad it got on there
26:48fries had a great texture and i love the approach of a soup and sandwich a really fun kids idea
26:54adding
26:54the pork belly certainly elevates it i think the presentation of the dish obviously is a little
26:59bit messy with the sauce all over we were two minutes short of a stunning dish that's the frustrating
27:06part i feel like i've let myself down i feel like i've let jeff ramsey down
27:14okay next up this is a chicken breast turned into tenders with a caramelized bacon and pear jam
27:20and potato chips i think it's got skill it's elevated yeah i think some of the most successful bites of
27:25this dish are that beautiful bacon jam with the chicken tender really amazing idea right next up
27:32uh this is a cherry glazed pork tenderloin with a sort of cheesy pea sauce and a crispy potato cake
27:43i think the pork tenderloin is cooked beautifully i actually quite like the cheesy peas
27:47the potato component is extremely greasy and my palate's covered in a lot of fat yeah i mean i'm having
27:55a little trouble sort of recognizing what is the iconic kid's dish here uh lastly these are chicken
28:04lollipops with a barbecue bourbon harissa glaze and sweet potato chips great way to get the kids to
28:12bed early yes nicely done i mean listen we know that the bourbon gets cooked out so we're not giving
28:18kids uh you know any alcohol here i think this is a tremendous chicken wing i love the flavor of
28:24this
28:24and it's a great way to get kids away from the ranch dressing and the honey mustard and the basic
28:29barbecue i love it this is elevated uh childhood classics beautiful really beautiful come on down
28:37shall we down in the basement okay first up we have fish and chorizo monte cristo this is served with

28:44spiced concord grape reduction as well as potato skins it looks very appetizing especially for a
28:52kid smart elevation from monte cristo it's really good really good okay next up we have biscuits and
28:59canned ham gravy with a potato hash i mean there's some magic happening in the basement let me tell you
29:07that biscuits fluffy layered beautifully i'm amazed you got that done in half an hour this brings me back i
29:13grew up with a lot of canned and sort of packaged ingredients in my house this is a great rendition
29:18of biscuits and gravy really smart okay last up we have chicken and waffles served with a potato
29:25laka as well as a coconut syrup that looks great i love it it's also has pistachio brittle this chicken

29:35delicious batter exceptional seasoned throughout but the cook on it is incredible the potato laka as well
29:40just going the extra mile so absolutely the chef actually used inspiration from his grandmother who
29:45used to make luck because for him when he was a kid wow yes really good not only is it
29:49for kids and
29:50the all the flavors are delicious but it's just daddy i'm hungry yes you're supposed to be doing your
29:57homework i'm hungry would you like a little piece of chicken yes please oh mate way to taste this delicious

30:59the lollipops exceptional and some of the best chicken wings i've had and it was really balanced well

39:51undercooked by looking at it but it's absolutely perfection
39:55squab has got that gaminess to it it wants some spice some acidity so the sauce and just everything
40:01bring it together is a little lacking agreed i just want more effort for the sauce it deserves that
40:07okay next up we have a chicken fry squab served over a sweet pea hummus
40:22the actual coating on the fried squab is delicious you know the frying sort of makes parts of it dry
40:26but it's a really good idea and a lot of great textures and first of all the crust is delicious
40:33it is seasoned beautifully it is incredibly light does it distract the flavor of the pigeon i think it
40:40masks it if anything but it doesn't taste like squab it tastes like a fried chicken
