00:13I was really happy with how we performed overall. United obviously started again better than we did.
00:19Down just from corner kicks and got themselves in the lead from that.
00:23I felt after that we calmed down a little bit. We started to take control of the ball a little
00:29bit better, secure possession.
00:32Got to grips with the game, the occasion, the opposition a little bit better.
00:35Then I thought we were in a good place. I felt we needed to control transitions a little bit better.
00:41Especially in the first half, Brian obviously the positions he was picking up in particular.
00:48The second goal was really disappointing, the timing of it and where we were in the game.
00:52But then I have to say I thought that the overall performance from the players, the bravery in which we
00:57showed was really impressive.
01:01You've got Tiago's story of so many games and a couple of opportunities that you should have been better with.
01:10Yeah, but I think that's the story of the game really. I think you've got one team that were pretty
01:16clinical in the opportunities that they got.
01:20And I feel like for us, for the next step I suppose, is being able to come here and perform
01:26like that, control large parts of the game.
01:29We created some really good opportunities but unfortunately we weren't out of sight.
01:32Well, that's not just Tiago, that's numerous players. We need to be killers in those situations and put the opportunities
01:40away and make the right decision.
01:41I suppose that's the next step for us.
01:45You just mentioned the timing of the second goal, but I feel like it was a little bit unfortunate.
01:49It comes from a tackle on the edge of the United Cops, it kind of just squirts out and you
01:52left a bit short of that.
01:54Yeah, I love the way we attack and we go for teams and I always want us to play in
01:59an attacking way.
02:00I think we've grown that as the season's gone on and evolved the team and we're on a good journey
02:05as a group of players and staff.
02:08So I don't want us to take a step back, I want us to come to a place like this
02:11and play with a real passion and a purpose.
02:14And at times you are going to run that risk for sure, but I felt like on two or three
02:18occasions we got a little bit carried away.
02:21We're getting too many bodies ahead of the ball and obviously with the players United have, they can hurt you
02:26on transition.
02:27They're pretty deadly on that.
02:28So, yeah, it's good laden for us really, but the next step is the big one for us.
02:34As a young group in the main, we've made huge strides as a group and I feel like it's a
02:40tough one to take,
02:40coming to Old Trafford and losing the game like that.
02:42But I suppose that says everything about where we are as a group and the ambition we have.
02:47Yeah?
02:48Keith, I know it's been a while since you beat the Knights in September, but how different were the champions?
02:54Is that a system to when you lost?
02:58Yeah, everyone's gone on about United and the change from them and I suppose the obvious one is the managerial
03:03change.
03:04We've changed a lot ourselves.
03:05We were in our own place at that stage and I feel like we've evolved massively since that point.
03:11They're obviously very different personnel-wise, not so much.
03:16I think people make a little bit more of maybe what they are now compared to what they were.
03:22What I've looked at in recent weeks in terms of their performance levels and where they're at.
03:27There's definitely a spirit around the group, which I said going into the game,
03:31and they've clearly got some top individual talent.
03:34Just on that point, there's already visual talent.
03:36You're in a commander with someone who's been taught to have a potential player here.
03:40I just wondered, what do you think of maybe that today and how are you in it?
03:45He's a top player, yeah.
03:47He has been for numerous years.
03:49Obviously for United, quite a charismatic figure within the club and he's been at the forefront
03:54of what they've done on a positive front for numerous years even when there's been some tougher times
04:00than maybe what the club is used to.
04:03You were asking about Louis Ponson's development over the course of the season
04:06because they've already had to change the formation half-time need to try and replace him
04:11in the first half.
04:12Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why they changed it.
04:15Obviously, you'll have to ask Michael about that, but Keno's been excellent.
04:20That's the cat-and-mouse nature of the first half, I suppose.
04:24We want him to get into attacking positions, but then equally, you know,
04:28Bryan's going to be a threat on transition.
04:31Keno's developed really well, he's performing really well, consistently well.
04:36He gives you so much with the ball obviously in deeper positions with his passing,
04:40his technique, his long-range passing and obviously crossing positions.
04:43When he gets higher up, he's in a really good place at the moment.
04:48When you look at your results, just like the bare statistics of it,
04:53and you see the one that you had against United in the season,
04:56people would say that would be the highlight, but one of the highlights,
05:01how much have you progressed as a team that you were most recognisable
05:04from where you were left there?
05:05Do you think in terms of the development that you've made?
05:08Because that was a proper performance, right?
05:12Yeah, it's tough really because I always kind of reflect back, obviously,
05:17I looked at the previous game in the last week or so,
05:19and then we played Fulham the week before, which we did in this week,
05:22building up to this game.
05:24When we played Fulham early in the season, it was the 20th of September,
05:27we were by a distance the second-best team.
05:29We lost the game 3-1.
05:30Last weekend we played Fulham, I thought we were by far the better team,
05:34but we got a point.
05:36So out of the two games, we've got a point,
05:39whereas you go back and we got three points in that week,
05:42obviously with Fulham and United in September.
05:44I think we have evolved, I think it's two-fold.
05:47I want us to be unpredictable how we play,
05:49I want us to play with real passion and purpose in everything we do.
05:53The opposition are obviously treating us a little bit differently now,
05:56I think as well, in terms of maybe the respect that we have within the league
05:59and the levels of performance that the players are producing pretty consistently.
06:04Every result is hard-earned in this league, the nature of the teams that you're going up against.
06:09That said the thing in itself, isn't it that the opposition stance should be a bit different?
06:13You couldn't match for anything more or any more of an indication than you were?
06:19Yeah, listen, I'm really pleased with the group,
06:21and I think I've said it there, the fact that we've come here,
06:24we've performed in the way we have, with such bravery and personality,
06:28and that we're going to go back down the motorway,
06:30really, really disappointed that we haven't got something from the game,
06:33I think says everything about where we're looking to get to, I suppose.
06:39We'll leave it there, then.
06:40Thank you very much, everybody.
06:41Thank you very much, everybody.
06:41Take care.
