00:01Negri Sembilan's political crisis is deepening, and now, an unexpected alliance may be taking
00:07shape. Perikatan National Assemblymen in the state have signalled they are ready to team
00:11up with Barisan National, in a move that could reshape the balance of power in the state
00:15government. State Opposition Chief Mohamed Hanifa Abu Baker, who is the Labu Assemblyman,
00:20made the announcement at a press conference, flanked by all four of Perikatan's other
00:25state assemblymen. He said the five Perikatan representatives were now prepared to work
00:30alongside the 14 Barisan assemblymen, who had, earlier that same day, declared they had lost
00:35confidence in Mentri Besar, Datuk Sri Aminuddin Harun. Mohamed Hanifa also addressed an ongoing
00:41royal crisis in the state. He said the prolonged crisis had disrupted the state's administration,
00:46pointing to the indefinite postponement of the state legislative assembly, sitting as evidence
00:51of institutional breakdown. He laid the blame squarely at the Mentri Besar's feet, saying
00:56Aminuddin had failed to handle the crisis responsibly. After the press conference, Mohamed Hanifa,
01:01who took no questions from journalists, handed a formal letter to state UMNO Secretary Datuk
01:07Mustafa Nagur, officially expressing Perikatan's willingness to cooperate with the party. When met
01:12later, Mustafa said he would hand over the letter to state UMNO Chief Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias.
