00:00But I'm going to be completely straightforward and honest with you Mets fans when I tell you that this is
00:04officially rock bottom now on the season.
00:0710 games below .500, just like where you were two years ago with Carlos Mendoza's first year as Mets skipper
00:13now.
00:13A record of 9-19 before April was even wrapped up.
00:17It feels like your season is now essentially over before it even began.
00:20And Carlos Mendoza, who has been a common denominator in the Mets' lack of success going back to June 12th
00:25of last year when Kodai Singa went down with injury.
00:27Not only have the Mets had the top three worst losses in total baseball since then, meaning that they've had
00:33more losses than every other team, but essentially themselves and a couple others, if not the most over that time.
00:38But this is a club that ran by Carlos Mendoza has not gone anything in unison.
00:43Nothing has been of consistency.
00:45And when we look at that 2024 season for the New York Mets and we see how they were able
00:49to dig themselves out of that prominent 10-game below .500 role,
00:53the commonality was a sense of identity, a sense of leadership, and a lot of it had to do with
00:58the club itself and not so much with the Mets' managerial position.
