00:00Astros and the Orioles here.
00:02Maybe an afterthought on the season would be the Astros of not making the playoffs.
00:05And finally, all those years of being competitive,
00:08getting to the World Series, winning World Series,
00:10you're going to look back and say, okay, who's going on to the Wall of Fame
00:12or getting their retirement jersey here up there for guys like Altuve
00:15and the rest of the crew.
00:17But today, this week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Craig,
00:20they'll get the day off of Monday.
00:21Lambert versus Boz, McCullers versus Bassett,
00:24Burroughs versus Young at this point.
00:26And I don't know, man.
00:28The Astros better start to get it together.
00:29The Orioles, I'm looking at that roster.
00:31It's talented.
00:32The pitching hopefully comes around.
00:33They should be okay.
00:33But in a talented East, the Astros, man, their best hitter,
00:37performing like an MVP and not even making any ripple in the record,
00:41as they sit with only 10 wins on this season, Craig.
00:44And as we go, you'll see less fastballs going to Jordan, right?
00:47Like that's going to start to happen here,
00:49probably starts this week at Camden Yards.
00:53The Orioles are better than the Astros, so they should win this series.
00:56Lambert gave the Astros at least a little hope in the starting rotation.
01:00But, I mean, this is not your Zach Greinke's and Verlander's
01:05and Frambois Valdez's and Dallas Keuchel's.
01:07Remember those guys, Donnie?
01:08Like Lambert and McCullers is still there, but, you know,
01:11who knows what he is?
01:12And then Burroughs, who they brought back here.
01:14I just don't have a ton of confidence in Houston.
01:17So I think the Orioles will take this series.
01:19I don't know if they'll sweep, but they should win two out of three.
01:21Man, the amount of talent that the Houston Astros had on that baseball team
01:24over the past decade, including their pitchers here,
01:26they just always seem to have it going
01:28and just can't seem to get out of their own way
01:30early in the Major League Baseball season.
01:32Another two teams with a day off on Monday, Craig.
01:34It's going to be the Colorado Rockies and the Cincinnati Reds.
01:37They'll play Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
01:39Maybe we'll get a sweep here.
01:40Reds playing as good a baseball as anybody in the Major League.
01:43Sugano, Freeland, and Lorenzen going for the Rockies.
01:46But how about this?
01:46Burns, Lodolo, and Abbott here.
01:48Looks like a bunch of favorites there on the mounds for the Reds
01:51all three games here, Craig.
01:53Yeah, and Burns a little inconsistent, but the key name here is Nick Lodolo.
01:56So he is back now for the Cincinnati Reds,
01:59and their pitching has been great.
02:01Abbott has been great.
02:02They're really not hitting enough to win a World Series, Donnie,
02:04or maybe even win a pennant, but that could change.
02:07They could make some alterations to the club.
02:09Eli De La Cruz has been fantastic.
02:12Sal Stewart is probably in line right now.
02:14If you had to guess who would win rookie of the year, it would be him.
02:17Rockies certainly don't stand a chance to win this series,
02:19but hoping to get one, I would think.
02:22Reds are, to me, Donnie, the one team that I look at now that I would buy in on.
02:27I don't know how far they can go, but they've been starved for winning in that city
02:31for a long time, and so I would guess that they'll give it their best shot this year.
02:36Interesting for the Reds, too, because you always think about that ballpark,
02:38and they're going to have to win by their offense.
02:40They actually have the lowest runs scored in the Central Division right here
02:42and only a run differential of around plus six at this point.
02:45So you say to yourself, okay, if they're getting by on pitch,
02:47and when the bats actually wake up there and start hitting in the summer,
02:50maybe that'll help them out.
02:51They've got some good young power arms, no doubt about it.
02:53The Nationals at the Mets this week also, Craig, getting a day off Monday.
02:57They'll go Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
02:59Littell versus Holmes, Cavalli versus Peterson, Michaelis versus Peralta here.
03:03The Mets, two and two in their last four games.
03:05The Washington Nationals sit at 12 and 16.
03:07See what happens here.
03:09But the Mets, do they finally get on their feet?
03:10Because as you talked about, Craig, a little bit easing up of the schedule here coming up for them.
03:15Yeah, I mean, these are three games that they would probably be favored, I would say,
03:18to win all three games, although Cade Cavalli pitched so well last time for Washington.
03:22Maybe that would be the one game that Washington has the best shot.
03:26Unfortunately, Miles Michaelis so far in this little Washington tenure has not gone all that well.
03:33So, yeah, you would expect the Mets to get healthy with the schedule that they have coming up.
03:37And if you keep looking, Donnie, it doesn't get any more difficult.
03:40For some reason, this is just the soft part of their schedule.
03:43So I think Washington, for me, that Wednesday game with Cade Cavalli,
03:48I think he's going to be a star in this league at some point.
03:50So that would be the one that I think Washington has their best shot at.
