00:09We go live now to the streets of Venezuela where the Great Pilgrimage for peace and against the
00:14sanctions is underway. We're looking at the images from the Venezuelan citizens who are
00:21taking to the streets to defend their sovereignty of the country. They have gone out to the streets
00:28after the call of acting President Alcir Rodriguez to protest to carry that Great Pilgrimage
00:35across the nation for several days to demand the lifting of US illegal sanctions against
00:43the country.
00:55We are looking at the images of all sectors of the Venezuelan society united in one with
01:02the single goal of demanding the lifting of the illegal sanctions of the US. This Great
01:13Pilgrimage started on April 19 from several states across the country and is going to
01:21be finishing on May 1st in the capital city of Caracas. This is going on after the call
01:32by acting President Alcir Rodriguez. We're looking at the images from Yaraqui State where the people
01:41have joined the Great Pilgrimage for peace and against the sanctions of the United States in
01:47the Bolivarian nation. This National Pilgrimage for Venezuela without sanctions and in peace is an initiative launched by the acting
02:05President of the Republic,
02:06Telcir Rodriguez, aimed at uniting political, social and religious sectors in a massive outcry against the unilateral coercive measures affecting
02:15the national economy.
02:16The mobilization began on a date of historic significance coincided with the anniversary of the proclamation of independence and will
02:24extend across the entire national territory.
02:26According to the official schedule, activities started simultaneously in the states of Zulia, Tachira and Amazonas, progressively covering all regions
02:35of the country over the next two weeks.
02:37The National Executive has emphasized that this call transcends partisan differences, inviting a civil society to join under the promise
02:45of sovereignty.
02:46The Pilgrimage includes a diverse agenda featuring cultural expressions, displays of faith and popular measures in each federal entity, including
02:55Guayana Ezequiva on April 22.
03:00As part of these preparations, the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, led a meeting in the last favorite
03:05with representatives from various opposition parties at the Federal Legislative Palace.
03:10This meeting focused on consolidating the program for peace and democratic coexistence as a key foundation to strengthen dialogue and
03:20strategies ahead of the national mobilizations.
03:24The closing of this major mobilization is scheduled for May 1st, International Workers' Day, with a massive national march in
03:30the country's capital.
03:32After this expected traveling demonstration to serve as a unique plea to the international community to demand respect for economic
03:39freedoms and the well-being of the Venezuelan people.
03:42The National Government, for its part, has reaffirmed that meaningful dialogue with all sectors is the path to overcoming current
03:49difficulties and preserving stability.
03:51Through this great pilgrimage, Venezuela seeks to demonstrate its determination to move towards a sustainable development and economic growth, free
03:59from external obstacles and financial pressures.
