00:01A local woman has been arrested after allegedly causing a bushfire at Jalan Pantai Perkasa

00:15said police received reports of the fire at about 4.30pm. Preliminary investigations found that
00:22a witness saw a bush area and a vehicle frame in front of an abandoned house on fire, which later
00:28spread towards a nearby residential area. Villagers managed to put out the fire before it caused
00:35further damage. Police found no CCTV footage at the scene, but investigations revealed traces of
00:42open burning on land belonging to the woman near the location. Witnesses also claimed the suspect
00:50was seen carrying out open burning at around 11.30am on the day of the incident. The case is
00:57being investigated under Section 285 of the Penal Code for Negligent Conduct Involving Fire.
