00:11:40That was tapping into 12-year-old me.

00:11:43I was the kid on the sidelines of the soccer field doing cartwheels with all the girls.

00:11:47Learning from the girls, and then soon enough, I was teaching the girls how to do a little back hands.

00:11:52That was pretty amazing.

00:11:55The only thing missing in what put you in the bottom last week, it has to do with the humanity.

00:12:53I knew I had to fight my way through to make it this long and to stay here.

00:13:01What do you think you're afraid of in showing more vulnerability?

00:13:06The talking of it all and, like, really expressing myself was not something I was, you know, gifted as a

00:13:11child.

00:13:12My father was a bit of a machista, very, like, manly type of man.

00:13:16And he didn't want me to show emotions.

00:13:17He didn't want any femininity from me.

00:13:19And so we stopped talking for six years and I, like, fell off the wagon in my darker moments.

00:13:25I kind of had pushed my self-esteem and my ability to use my voice to the back.

00:13:31I was so afraid to talk to my father again, but he has followed what I've been up to and

00:13:38I think he learned that there's a respect there and there's an art form.

00:13:42Me and my father rekindled and fixed a relationship and it was almost like the puzzle pieces fell in place

00:13:48and I was able to take care of myself again and be healthy again and really love myself.

00:13:56He is super supportive now.

00:13:58I can show him pictures of me in drag and he's like, oh, you look beautiful.

00:14:01It kind of has brought us all together.

00:14:02You know, when I see you dance and I see in the moment you are inspired by the music to

00:14:09do a certain move, that's the key to everything.

00:14:12Your dance is your portal into your deeper self.

00:14:17So you've already got a leg up on the competition there.

00:15:22And from that moment, I faced my biggest fear, which was the chance of going home, knowing

00:15:27I really wanted this.

00:15:28And from that moment on, I said, I can't be in that position again.

00:15:31I'm a nerd, so I like to think of my journey as like a Pokemon evolution.

00:15:34I came as a cutesy, ready to go, anything type of happen girl.

00:15:41I was fighting in battle and I almost lost it.

00:15:45And I fully evolved that next week.

00:15:48More powerful, more ready to go.

00:15:50And I feel like my final transformation is coming into this moment.

00:15:54You know, years ago, back in the dark ages, girls would win a challenge.

00:15:58They wouldn't get any money.

00:17:59My family is going to be just surprised by what I do in general.

00:18:08For years, I couldn't tell my family that I did drag.

00:18:11And before I came here, I just threw everybody in a group chat and was like, I've been doing drag

00:18:18for 10 years.

00:18:19And I did get responses from family members, but it was not something that they agreed with.

00:18:26I, you know, I would go home to Indiana and really not be able to talk about what really made

00:18:32me happiest.

00:18:32It was like, well, they don't want to hear about it.

00:18:34So I'll do the favor by not talking about it.

00:18:38I specifically thought it would affect my relationship with my dad.

00:18:42That is a very new relationship.

00:18:45But he responded to me.

00:18:47I hope you're able to reach your goals that you are striving for.
