00:03the international space station has been occupied by astronauts for more than 22 years now but still
00:08every year we get more new and exciting discoveries videos and photographs from the aged space station
00:14and 2022 was no different these astronauts were just a handful of crew members that traveled from
00:19earth all the way up to the orbiting space station which sits in low earth orbit around 250 miles up
00:24circling around our home planet once every 90 minutes while in orbit the astronauts are tasked
00:29with completing myriad scientific experiments investigating everything from fluid dynamics to
00:34botany all trying to figure out how space affects the life man might someday lead in the cosmos but
00:39they've also got their eyes looking outward as well looking down at our planet or out into space and
00:44they've no doubt got the best view in the house on both accounts the international space station has
00:47always been just that an international endeavor but with a treaty between the u.s russia japan europe
00:53and canada and it's nice to see that no matter what's happening down here on earth it doesn't
00:57seem to affect any of their work up there
