00:09After my husband passed away, Legacy contacted me and reached out to me and made sure that I was
00:15sort of not alone and just to let me know that there's someone here there all the time. It's
00:21got me out of the house. I was very sort of lonely and a bit you know distant from everything.
00:26My
00:26family lived in Sydney so I was very much alone living up here. We go to lunches and things and
00:31then beyond that we have formed friendships. There's a couple of ladies we now go to the
00:37theatre in Sydney with different shows that are on or we might meet up for other morning teas and
00:44we'll just go for outings or just go for a visit if somebody's feeling a bit down and just help
00:49each other out. I think that's very important. We need volunteers to help us support dependents
00:58and veterans that are either incapacitated or have passed away due to their health with the
01:04Australian Defence Forces. Newcastle Club have over 700 dependents. We also are very short of
01:11volunteers and volunteers. If you have a spare two hours anywhere in your program really would
01:18encourage you to get in touch with us at Newcastle at LegacyClubServices.org.au or give us a call on
01:274968 9501 and please feel free to phone us up and find out more about Legacy.
