00:00Hi, I'm Megan Maroney, and I'm here today recreating Dolly Parton's iconic album cover for Jolene.
00:06I was thinking about it earlier, and I must have learned the songs like In the Womb,
00:18so I'm really excited to be here and honoring her like this today.
00:25I had a lot of fun recreating this look with my amazing tailor and designer Mariana Romanova.
00:31She made it in about a day and a half.
00:33There's not a lot of pictures of Dolly standing up in it, so we did some research,
00:36and I bought the behind-the-scenes book, Dolly's fashion book,
00:40to just really find out what was happening under that iconic cover.
00:43Turning Megan into Dolly for Jolene is actually really simple
00:47because they're both beautiful blondes with blue eyes.
00:49It's really neutral, peach tones, nothing crazy.
00:53I think that's going to be more of the hair area.
00:55We have experimented with a fun wig today.
00:59We actually stacked two on top of each other to get all that volume that Dolly has.
01:03I think Dolly has inspired my style because she's always thought more is more,
01:08and I'm right there with you, girl.
01:10I haven't met Dolly yet, but I'd probably scream.
01:14This past year for my birthday, Kenny Chesney gifted me a vintage Gibson acoustic guitar
01:20that was signed by Dolly Parton and made out to me.
01:23So, in a sense, maybe she knows who I am, so I just need to meet her.
01:28I'd probably hug her.
01:29I don't know.

01:43I just love Dolly so much.
01:46She's such a talented songwriter, artist, and philanthropic.
01:51She's everything.
01:52She's always been just super confident, knows exactly who she is.
01:56She's kind and gracious, over the top in some ways, but she really embraces it.

02:02She's exactly who she is, and she's iconic.
02:05So I am feeling like I'm about to pour myself a cup of ambition, that's for sure.
