00:00What can I say about my next record?
00:01Oh, I gotta think about this so I don't spill any secrets.
00:04It's the most excited I've been about an album release so far.
00:07And I think it's because I had the most time to work on this one.
00:11I didn't rush into it and it just feels very complete.
00:15It's confident and sassy.
00:16I think it's really funny, a little bit sarcastic, some songs, but I'm just so, so excited.
00:23I found out some news about the album the other day and I cried happy tears.
00:27And I very rarely cry happy tears.
00:29It's written from a perspective where my feet are really planted in my personal life,
00:33in my career.
00:35It's like the first time I feel like that I'm really just confident having this lifestyle
00:40change, I guess.
00:41At first, there were parts that were scary, aspects that were scary to me of doing this
00:46career.
00:47And now I just feel very settled and very sane.
00:54Believe it or not, I don't listen to a lot of music when I'm making an album.
00:57I think I'm so consumed with listening to the songs that I've written or just silence,
01:02especially I've been on tour.
01:04So I really just love to be in silence sometimes.
01:07But I will say that like a couple of the songs were really inspired by Mud on the Tires by
01:13Brad Paisley.
01:14I listen to that a lot and I just love he has such conversational lyrics.
01:18And there's a cover of a song called Is It Raining at Your House that made it on that
01:23album.
01:24And it made me want my own rain song.
01:26So a rain song did make the album.
