00:00Also, Keir Starmer has come to Parliament. He's made a statement to Parliament. He had Prime Minister's questions yesterday and
00:05at no point has he satisfactorily convinced Parliament, or I think the wider public, that he's been truthful about what
00:12happened around the Peter Mandelson appointment and subsequent events.
00:16It's very clear from Ollie Robbins' testimony to the Select Committee on Tuesday, he was the former head of the
00:24Foreign Office on the civil service side, that great pressure was applied to the Foreign Office by Number 10 to
00:29get Peter Mandelson's appointment through before the Prime Minister even knew the results of the vetting that was carried out
00:36at that time.
00:37And he was actually advised by Lord Case, the then Secretary to the Cabinet, that he should wait until that
00:45vetting was out there publicly prior to making that appointment and he didn't do that.
00:50So those and many other questions need to be answered and that's why we need to look at the possibility
00:54of a full inquiry.
