00:00So we were watching the guy and he was firing and firing and firing and the bullets were
00:07making different sounds.
00:08So we weren't sure if there was a lot of different weapons.
00:11And he was just standing up there pacing forever.
00:15We were all in a hot air balloon together and now all of a sudden we were in this terrible
00:20thing that was unfolding and we weren't sure if they were one of the people trapped on
00:26top of the pyramid.
00:27And then also panning over and seeing all the people laying there was horrific.
00:36They were all playing dead and you could see their legs dangling over in unnatural positions.
00:42So it was like, are there 20 bodies up there?
00:45When we first figured out that there was a shooter and the word sort of spread through
00:51all the people.
00:53It was worry and I wanted to take care of my girlfriend and let's get out and let's get
00:58the hell out of here.
00:59But then I also curiosity that probably wasn't a good idea to sort of go around the corner
01:06and look and then sort of realize, oh, he's very far away and he's using a handgun.
01:11So it's probably like a little safer here.
01:14But it was also the panic of trying to find the other people in our tour group.
01:20And for a while we couldn't find two or three of the women.
01:22And we were pretty panicked at the time.
01:27What you can see in the video was us standing what we felt was a safe-ish amount away and
01:34then zooming in over part of the structures and then seeing him and hearing the gunshots.
01:44The gunshots went on for so long, 15, 20 minutes.
01:48I don't know how long it took, but we just kept saying to ourselves, like, how many bullets
01:53does this guy have?
01:54And we heard he's got a bag of guns and it turns out he just had a bag of ammunition.
01:58And this morning, I was asking my girlfriend, like, I don't know why he stopped with one
02:04person.
02:06Like, thank God he did, but we had just climbed that pyramid and it was a struggle.
02:12Like, I was joking with my girlfriend the whole time because it was super steep and the rocks
02:17were sharp and gritty and she didn't even want to go up, but I convinced her to.
02:21And then she slowly came down.
02:24There was a line of people slowly going down.
02:26So to think that when this all happened or when the gunman finally went up, everybody
02:32sort of came down at the same time or flung themselves over the side and people came tumbling
02:39down and I just think, like, if we had been there a moment earlier.
