00:00Oh, it was big last night. Lightning Canadians, game two, went to overtime. We got a big win from J
00:08.J. Moser.
00:10Big face off here, won by Sorelli, pulls it back to the line. Moser skating in. Moser with a shot,
00:16scores!
00:18J.J. Moser with a lightning strike in overtime!
00:24Oh man, it was awesome. I saved for the whole thing. I got home about 11.45 last night.
00:29Ouch. Ouch.
00:30Hurtin' this morning at 3.20.
00:33Oh yes.
00:34But there was something else I did last night that kind of like, did you hear my voice?
00:37Oh.
00:38Something else that I kind of did last night that I kind of embarrassed myself. I really did.
00:42You didn't embarrass the show.
00:44Well, I'm a representative of the show.
00:46But first of all, shout out to CEO of the Lightning, Steve Griggs, who invited me to the game last
00:51night.
00:51And I happened to have become friends with him over the last couple years.
00:55And he's just so generous.
00:57A great reflection of who the Lightning are as an organization.
01:01Just a great guy.
01:01Great guy.
01:02And I went with my buddy Harley.
01:05Okay.
01:05And also with Chris Lucas of Locash.
01:08Okay.
01:08So we went to the game last night.
01:10And it was awesome.
01:12And just first class service all the way.
01:14Love it.
01:15And shout out to Dave, who runs the suite as well.
01:18He's an awesome dude.
01:19And he makes sure that we're all taken care of.
01:21Nice.
01:21So I'm talking to Steve.
01:23And Harley and I are talking to Steve.
01:25And he goes, I want to introduce you guys to somebody.
01:29This is Jim Craig.
01:31Now, does that name ring a bell to you, Lana?
01:35Jim Craig.
01:35Ah, Jim Craig.
01:37Oof, no.
01:39Well, it should.
01:41Because he's a national hero.
01:43He's also the goalie for the 1980 gold medal USA hockey team.
01:50Oh, yes, he is.
01:54I knew Kevin would know who he is right away.
01:56Absolutely, I know.
01:57He lives in St. Pete.
01:59I didn't know that.
01:59I did not know that.
02:00But I do know who Jim Craig is.
02:03Yes, Jim Craig.
02:04And then he's like, he does like motivational speeches and whatnot now.
02:09And well, Steve was like, oh, these guys are too young to know.
02:11Because, you know, it was at 1980.
02:13And Jim looks at us and goes, well, there's been movies about it.
02:16Yeah, that's right.
02:17I mean, obviously the most, one of the most famous hockey games of all time.
02:21I know.
02:21Oh, no.
02:22And I'm like, oh.
02:23I go, yeah, I was born in 85, man.
02:25I don't know.
02:25And he goes, well, there's been movies.
02:27And then Steve goes, he's a gold medalist.
02:29Just letting you know that he was the goalie for the U.S. hockey team in 1980 when they won.
02:34Oh, wow.
02:35That's bad.
02:36Yeah, it was bad.
02:37It was not good.
02:37It was pretty bad.
02:38So then Jim Craig, being the motivational guy that he is, starts going off about, you know, just life and
02:45what the lightning needed to do that night.
02:47Because this is all before the game.
02:48Lightning, what they need to do, how you should treat your, you know, how you approach life and whatnot.
02:55Yeah.
02:55And how he approached life.
02:56He lost his mother to cancer at like the age 19.
02:58But that pushed him through adversity and all that.
03:01And I wanted to run through a wall for this guy by the time he was done talking to me.
03:07And I felt horrible that I did not recognize the name right out of the gate.
03:10Oh, wow.
03:11But, I mean, I just love the fact that he goes, well, there's been a couple movies about it.
03:17Come on.
03:17And recently he talked about it quite a bit since the last Olympics, right, where U.S. beat Canada.
03:22I would have known beforehand, but when that happened back in February, I was like, Jake, we're watching Miracle if
03:29they win the gold medal.
03:30And we watch Miracle, and it's obviously Jim Craig's the goalie.
03:33Yeah.
03:34He's a main character in the movie.
03:36He's a national hero.
03:37Oh, he saved the game for them.
03:38Yeah.
03:38And that literally saved the game.
03:40I mean, he was such a big part of making sure they beat the Russians, first of all, and then
03:46won the gold medal.
03:47If it wasn't for him, they would not be there.
03:49What a guy.
03:50What an interesting.
03:51He's incredible.
03:52Well, yeah, not just an athlete, but just what a speaker and just a guy that you want to listen
03:56to.
03:57I mean, really, it was, in a great way, it was unsolicited, but it was like, oh, my gosh, I'm
04:03getting the honor to hear this from this guy.
04:05Right, yeah.
04:05This is so cool.
04:06Meeting him.
04:07I will tell you, though, Harley, who we all know as well, had zero idea.
04:10He did not ring a bell to him either.
04:12What about Chris?
04:13Chris was not next to us when this happened.
04:15Okay.
04:15But Steve looked at us like, hey, you idiots.
04:18Yes.
04:18What are you guys doing?
04:20You've got an opportunity here.
04:21Take advantage of it.
04:22So, I agree.
04:23Last time he invites you guys.
04:24Oh, yeah, I know.
04:25Hey, Steve, can we get some name tags?
04:28And who are you?
04:29Yeah, what's going on?
04:30Well, you know, I know what you're doing after work today.
04:33What's that, watching the movie?
04:34There you go, watching the miracle.
04:35Miracle-y.
04:36What's that, if you look, what you did after work today?
