The full Cunard fleet will gather on the River Mersey for the first time in history. The event is expected to draw large crowds as part of major cultural celebrations.

00:04Four of the world's most recognisable cruise ships sailing together against the backdrop of Liverpool's skyline.
00:10For Cunard, it marks a world first.
00:13On the 16th of May, 2028, Queen Mary II, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Anne will unite in the
00:20city where the company was founded in 1840.
00:23The cruise line says it'll be the first time its full fleet of four ships has ever come together.
00:28And Liverpool's been chosen as the setting because of its historic role as Cunard's spiritual home.
00:35Queen Mary II's arrival will also make history in its own right.
00:38It'll be her first ever transatlantic crossing from New York directly into Liverpool and the first eastbound arrival from New
00:45York to the city in more than 60 years.
00:49Last time Cunard's ships gathered on the Mersey was in 2015 when the three queens came together for the company's
00:55175th anniversary.
00:57Liverpool City Council says the event attracted more than a million people to the waterfront.
01:02This latest gathering is expected to build on that moment, forming part of a wider celebration marking 20 years since
01:10Liverpool was named European Capital of Culture,
01:13with a year-long programme of events planned across the city.
