00:12MACC Chief Commissioner Azan Baki said the NGO received donations from various sources,
00:18some meant for the needy, but the funds did not reach their intended beneficiaries.
00:23He added that some individuals misappropriated the money for personal gain, including purchasing
00:28luxury assets.
00:30The trio, detained yesterday, are on remand until Saturday, and are believed to have
00:34colluded in offenses between 2018 and 2024, with two of them being company directors.
00:40A source from MACC said the deputy chairman of the NGO allegedly transferred 230 million
00:45ringgit into his company's bank accounts for personal and investment purposes.
00:50MACC seized 18 luxury vehicles, including Porsches and a Mercedes-Benz, properties worth 11 million
00:57ringgit, other assets, such as luxury watches and cash, and froze 33 bank accounts holding
01:02120 million ringgit.
01:04Earlier today, Pertubuhan Ikram Malaysia suspended three members, with President Badli Shah Sambaharin
01:10saying the acts were individual, and that Ikram would cooperate with MACC.
