00:00Task Force Falcon is in the process of charging five males for a kidnapping
00:03offence. Four of these males were adults and one is a juvenile. At 11.30 p.m. last
00:08night police responded to a call that a male was being assaulted outside of
00:11Guildford premises at gunpoint. This male was assaulted at the location by at
00:16least four males. He was forced into his own vehicle and driven from that
00:19location to a street in Villawood. The victim was removed from this vehicle,
00:23which was his vehicle, and placed in another vehicle and the offender set his
00:28vehicle alight. The victim was driven to a premises on the Hume Highway Cushula, where
00:33we allege he was tied at his hands and feet and assaulted further. An excellent
00:39response by Polair and local police identified the premises where this
00:42victim was being located. Upon police setting up a perimeter outside this
00:47location, the five offenders fled the scene and were pursued by police and
00:52they were all apprehended. Again, excellent work by Polair and the local police.
00:57The victim was sighted at this residence and he was taken for treatment due to
01:03injuries that he sustained to his face and other parts of his body.
01:09Evidentry search of that premises located a firearm, a baseball bat and other weapons,
01:13plus clothing that we allege was worn by the offenders during this incident. The
01:19location of the kidnapping, the house where the victim was recovered, plus the vehicles
01:23that we seized are currently being examined. Now the victim has driven to his residence.
01:30Upon parking his car out the front, he was approached by at least four males that were
01:35disguised. He was assaulted there at gunpoint and also with a baseball bat and he was bundled
01:42into his own car and driven from the scene.
