ASMR - 10 Triggers for the Deepest Sleep 💤 (whispers, gentle rain) - 1 HOUR
Transcript
00:00:02Hi guys, this video is sponsored by Ritual. Ritual makes supplements that are simple,
00:00:11clean, and packed by science. I've been taking their Stress Relief and Symbiotic Plus supplement
00:00:19for two months now, and I've seen a noticeable improvement in my stress and my digestion,
00:00:25so I'm really excited to talk about them. Ritual Stress Relief is an all-in-one stress support
00:00:32supplement. You take it once daily, and it's designed to help reduce stress, promote a positive
00:00:39mood, and support the body's normal cortisol response. Each supplement has ashwagandha,
00:00:45L-theanine, and saffron. I actually recognize all three of those ingredients from when I used to do
00:00:51my own independent research on supplements for stress and anxiety, so I was super happy to see
00:00:58them in here. And after taking this every morning for two months, I saw a noticeable improvement in
00:01:03how I deal with stress and my overall mood. In Ritual's, Symbiotic Plus is a prebiotic,
00:01:10probiotic, and postbiotic that supports a balanced gut microbiome and digestive health. It contains
00:01:18two of the world's most clinically studied probiotic strains. I genuinely notice a difference when I
00:01:24forget to take this in the morning in almost all areas relating to my gut health. So if you want
00:01:30to
00:01:30check out Ritual, which I highly recommend, you can get 25% off your first order by going to
00:01:37Ritual.com slash SarahLavender25 and using my code SarahLavender25 at checkout. So thank you so much,
00:01:47Ritual, and let's get right to it.
00:02:04Hello. I hope that you're doing very, very well for tonight's session.
00:02:25I have 10 triggers to put you to sleep or just relax you. So go ahead and make yourself
00:02:50as comfortable as possible. Whether you're lying in bed or sitting in a chair, I hope that I can help
00:03:12calm you down, maybe distract you from whatever's going on in your life, and ultimately, ultimately, ultimately,
00:03:28give you ASMR. So if you're ready, let's get started.
00:04:12I will be whispering throughout the video.
00:04:19So hopefully very softly and gently. But if that's not your style, I understand.
00:04:39I'm going to try to spend time with each object and chat about them just a little, a little bit.
00:04:59For example, this candle. I usually burn woodwick candles in my videos, but a lot of the ones I had
00:05:22weren't burning so well anymore, so I got this from Target.
00:05:35I try to buy candles that have cute containers so I can reuse them.
00:05:43Like, wouldn't this be a cute jewelry holder, like rings or, I don't know, something like that.
00:06:03Obviously, I haven't burned it yet, so we're going to see how it sounds.
00:06:12I might have to burn it off camera for a second to get it going, so let's go ahead and
00:06:24do that.
00:06:41That is a really nice, subtle flicker. I don't know what the word is.
00:06:54Some of my other candles are very, very, very loud, and I can't hold them too close to the mics
00:07:08or else it's just way too loud.
00:07:12So this might be perfect.
00:07:22So let's take a moment to just breathe.
00:07:29So let's inhale.
00:07:34Exhale.
00:07:40Inhale.
00:07:41Inhale.
00:07:44Exhale.
00:07:50Maybe you could take a moment and try to think of one thing you're grateful for.
00:07:59And if that's hard for you to do, just try to be present for a moment in your body.
00:08:10Feel the weight of your body.
00:08:16Feel the bed.
00:08:20Feel your pillow.
00:08:25Feel the air going in and out of your lungs.
00:08:32Feel your heart beating, even if it's kind of fast right now.
00:08:37That's okay.
00:08:40That's okay.
00:08:42Let's take another deep breath.
00:08:46Inhale.
00:08:50And exhale.
00:08:56You're okay.
00:08:59You're safe.
00:09:03You deserve this time to rest.
00:09:18Maybe follow this candle with your eyes.
00:09:27Exhale.
00:09:30Inhale.
00:09:34Inhale.
00:09:40Inhale.
00:09:42Inhale.
00:10:13Okay, I'm going to blow it out in three, two, one.
00:10:48Well, I think that was a good, mindful start.
00:10:57Let's move on to something a little more classically, ASMR.
00:11:07Well, of course, that depends who you ask.
00:11:21And that's actually got me thinking a little.
00:11:24Well, what is classic ASMR?
00:11:33Is it unintentional ASMR?
00:11:38Describing something, selling you something, a spa, a doctor's visit?
00:11:53Or is it just whispering?
00:11:58Did you know before there was a term for ASMR, they called ASMR videos whisper videos?
00:12:12Or would you argue that it's soft-spoken?
00:12:20It's changed so much over the years.
00:12:28And I feel like inherently people have very strong opinions on what ASMR is.
00:12:44What's the correct way to do it?
00:12:51It's something I think about a lot.
00:12:56Because it's my job.
00:13:03Is tapping even an original ASMR trigger?
00:13:09I don't know.
00:13:10I don't think so.
00:13:14I do know, though, that my very first ASMR video five years ago had my brushing.
00:13:32So in my head, that's pretty classic.
00:13:45Maybe personal attention?
00:13:52I'm kind of rambling a little bit now.
00:13:55I hope that you don't mind.
00:13:57I'm kind of rambling a little bit now.
00:14:12Let me test.
00:14:25Get a little bit closer to your ear.
00:14:32Just a little bit closer.
00:14:38Then let me take a step back.
00:14:49This feels like I'm painting.
00:14:52I think.
00:15:13And then really close again.
00:15:41There, okay.
00:15:44There, okay.
00:15:50Let me just get right here and check to make sure that I brushed everything away that I needed to
00:16:01help.
00:16:02It looks pretty good.
00:16:24Okay.
00:16:26I think we're good.
00:16:49Okay.
00:16:49Okay.
00:16:52If it's okay with you, I'm just going to take a closer look.
00:16:56Take a closer look at your face.
00:17:00This is kind of a bright light, so feel free to close your eyes.
00:17:12Alright.
00:17:16I'm going to try not to shine it right into your eyes.
00:17:25I'm going to try not to shine it right into your eyes.
00:17:40Okay.
00:17:41I'm just looking at your eyes.
00:17:44They look good.
00:17:48Looking at your forehead.
00:17:56Okay.
00:17:58Looking at your nose, and I'm going to save your eyes for last.
00:18:03Let me just check.
00:18:05Let me just check.
00:18:05I know.
00:18:07There.
00:18:08Can you open your mouth for me?
00:18:12Alright.
00:18:13Everything looks good.
00:18:16And your cheeks.
00:18:23And your chin.
00:18:25Can you smile for me?
00:18:29Good.
00:18:30Now can you smile showing me your teeth?
00:18:35Perfect.
00:18:37Go ahead and raise your eyebrows.
00:18:41Alright.
00:18:42Now puff out your cheeks.
00:18:47Good.
00:18:51Okay.
00:18:52I'm going to look in your ears.
00:18:53Just kind of the outside of them.
00:18:58Not using an otoscope.
00:19:01I think that's what it's called.
00:19:08Everything's looking good.
00:19:13Good.
00:19:13Okay.
00:19:14Can you look at me?
00:19:17Good.
00:19:18Tell me how many fingers I'm holding up without breaking eye contact.
00:19:24Good.
00:19:26Keep looking.
00:19:29Good.
00:19:31Okay.
00:19:33Let's see.
00:19:34Keep looking at me and tell me when my hand leaves your vision away.
00:19:39Okay.
00:19:41Good.
00:19:44Good.
00:19:50Perfect.
00:19:54Perfect.
00:19:55Perfect.
00:19:55Okay.
00:19:56So now this will be a bright light for a second.
00:20:00I'm just going to look there really quickly in and out.
00:20:11In and out.
00:20:15In and out.
00:20:17In and out.
00:20:18In and out.
00:20:19Okay.
00:20:26Good.
00:20:28I think that that's everything I needed to do as far as taking a look with my light.
00:20:54Perfect.
00:20:55Perfect.
00:20:56Perfect.
00:20:58Good.
00:20:59Okay.
00:20:59Good.
00:20:59Good.
00:20:59Good.
00:20:59Good.
00:21:00Good.
00:21:00Good.
00:21:17Now I'm going to do some lotion and hand oil sounds.
00:21:45Now I'm going to do some lotion and hand oil and hand oil and hand oil and hand oil and
00:21:49hand oil and hand oil.
00:22:02This is objectively a pretty weird sound, but I love it, and it reminds me of a spa.
00:22:40Here we go.
00:23:11Here we go.
00:23:18Finger fluttering doesn't sound that good with it.
00:23:21Here we go.
00:23:28Here we go.
00:23:47Here we go.
00:24:03Here we go.

00:24:40Here we go.
00:24:45Here we go.
00:24:47Here we go.
00:24:54Here we go.
00:24:57Here we go.
00:24:59Here we go.
00:25:06Here we go.
00:25:07Here we go.
00:25:25Here we go.
00:25:27a little bit of hand oil
00:25:56a little bit of hand oil
00:26:03a little bit of hand oil
00:26:04a little bit of hand oil
00:26:09it is a little bit of hand oil
00:26:23does it sound that different
00:26:25compared to the lotion, in your opinion. It's pretty similar.
00:26:48My hands really need this. I've been doing a lot of rock climbing lately, and your hands
00:26:59really get beat up.
00:27:53Okay. This one smells like roses, too, which is so nice.
00:27:58This one smells like roses, too, which is so nice.
00:28:12Okay.
00:28:32Speaking of old school triggers versus newer triggers, I think that slime
00:28:43is a newer trigger, but I'm not mad about it. This one is called Toadstool Garden. It's a butter snow
00:28:56fish slime. It's so cute. I haven't actually played with this one before, so we're gonna see how it sounds.
00:29:34It's very fizzy.
00:29:58It smells exactly like grass, which is pretty strange, but fitting.
00:30:06Let's get it out.
00:30:08Let's get it out.
00:30:10Let's get it out.
00:30:11It smells like blue, okay.
00:30:27Let's get it out.
00:30:27Okay, let's get it out.
00:30:27Let's get it out.

00:32:11here's a slime that's a little more subtle
00:32:40I don't know, are you a fan

00:39:32You know, I've broken two of these.
00:39:38They're surprisingly extremely fragile, and they fell like two feet on the carpeted ground, and both times they broke.
00:40:19Can you look up for me?
00:40:25Good, now close your eyes.
00:40:36Alright, I'm just going to get near your ears.
00:40:45Alright.

00:41:42That's a trigger so much.
00:41:50It's like somewhere in between tacky tapping and slime.

00:43:48where I throw this really hard up onto the ceiling
00:43:56and it sticks to the ceiling and she just stands there meowing at it
00:44:01waiting for it to fall down
00:44:07I can't use that one in a video though now
00:44:12because it is covered in cat hair

00:50:54Let me know if you agree, or if it's just me.
00:51:07For my final trigger, I'm going to read a little bit in Spanish.
00:51:20Unless you speak Spanish, this will be pretty much unintelligible whispers.
00:51:36I'm going to read the house in Mango Street.
00:51:55It's a little book.
00:51:59It's a little book.
00:52:18Okay, so let me read the back.
00:52:27I was thinking that it would be good to end this video with kind of true background noise.
00:52:36Unless you speak Spanish.
00:52:44La casa en Mango Street es la extraordinaria historia de Esperanza Cordero.
00:52:56It's a little book.
00:52:57It's a little book.
00:53:11It's a little book.
00:53:13It's a little book.
00:53:21It's a little book.
00:53:22Convertirse
00:53:24Pocos libros de nuestra era
00:53:27Han conmovido a tantos lectores
00:54:20Sus pies eran gordos
00:54:24Y macudos como tamales gruesos
00:54:28Y los entalgaba y enfundaba en calcetines
00:54:34Calcetines
00:54:36Blancos y zapatos de cuero marrón
00:54:48Los pies de la abuela eran encantadores
00:54:52Como perlas rosas
00:54:55Ataviados en tacones
00:54:58De terciopelo
00:55:00De terciopelo
00:55:01Que la hacían bambolearse al caminar
00:55:06Pero de todas formas
00:55:09Los usaba
00:55:10Los usaba porque lucían hermosos
00:55:15El bebé
00:55:17El bebé tenía diez deditos diminutos
00:55:20Pálidos y transparentes
00:55:24Como los de una salamandra
00:55:26Y se los llevaba a la boca
00:55:30Cada vez que tenía hambre
00:55:32Los pies de la madre
00:55:36Los pies de la madre
00:55:36Recordetes y educados
00:55:41Descendían como palomas blancas del mar de almohadas
00:55:49Cruzaban las rosas del linoleo
00:55:57Bajaban y bajaban las escaleras de madera
00:56:02Sobre los cuadros de tiza de la ruela
00:56:08Rayuela
00:56:105, 6, 7, 10
00:56:20¿Quieren esto?
00:56:22Y nos dio una bolsa de papel
00:56:25Con un par de zapatos de tacón
00:56:28Color limón
00:56:29Otros rojos
00:56:31Y un par de zapatos de baile
00:56:34Que alguna vez fueron blancos
00:56:38Pero que ahora eran azul pálido
00:56:43Tomen y nuestras dijimos gracias
00:56:47Y esperamos a que subiera
00:56:51Las escaleras
00:56:55Híjoles
00:56:57Hoy somos como sinicienta
00:57:01Porque nuestros pies
00:57:03Se amoldan perfectamente
00:57:07Y reímos
00:57:08Al ver el pie
00:57:10De Rachel
00:57:14Con un calceta gris
00:57:16Y un zapato de tacón
00:57:18Te gustan estos zapatos
00:57:22Pero la verdad es que
00:57:25Da miedo mirarse
00:57:28El pie
00:57:30Que ya es
00:57:32De una pegado
00:57:35A una pierna
00:57:36Larga
00:57:38Larga
00:57:39Larga
00:57:39Larga
00:57:50Larga
00:57:51Ok, now I'm gonna step back a little bit
00:57:55To make the whispers even more quiet
00:58:14Papá
00:58:15Papá
00:58:15Que despierta
00:58:17Cansado
00:58:18En la
00:58:18Oscuridad
00:58:20Tu abuelito murió
00:58:24Dice papá
00:58:25Una mañana temprano
00:58:27En mi cuarto
00:58:28Está muerto
00:58:30Dice
00:58:31Y como si en ese momento
00:58:33Acabara de escuchar la noticia
00:58:36Se apuchura
00:58:38Como un abrigo
00:58:40Y se suelta
00:58:42A llorar
00:58:43Mi valiente papá
00:58:46Llora
00:58:47Nunca
00:58:49Nunca lo he visto llorar
00:58:51Y no sé qué hacer
00:58:54Sé que tendrá que irse
00:58:58Que tomará un avión a México
00:59:01Y que todos los tíos
00:59:04Y las tías
00:59:05Estarán allá
00:59:06Y que se
00:59:07Tomarán una foto
00:59:09En blanco y negro
00:59:11Frente a la tumba
00:59:13Con flores
00:59:15Que parecen lanzas
00:59:17En uno
00:59:19En un florero blanco
00:59:22Porque así
00:59:23Es como despiden
00:59:25A los muertos
00:59:27En ese país
00:59:28Que parecen
00:59:33Que parecen
00:59:34A little sound
00:59:35A little sound
00:59:36A little sound
01:00:04Okay, my dear. That's all for this session. I hope you are able to fall asleep, or at least relax,
01:00:26relax, relax.
01:00:31Thank you so much for spending this time with me. And until, until next time, bye.
