00:13He assured the Senate will immediately convene once the articles of impeachment
00:17are received from the House of Representatives,
00:20with a trial likely to begin in as little as two weeks.
00:24To recall, the previous impeachment proceedings last year were not acted upon immediately
00:30due to a session break, and there was uncertainty on whether the case could carry over
00:35from the 19th to the 20th Congress, which eventually led to the archiving of the impeachment.
00:42Soto also expressed confidence that all senator judges will remain impartial,
00:47free from political influence and without bias in the proceedings.
