00:00Let's hear from J.J. Redick on the win by the Los Angeles Lakers over the Houston Rockets.
00:04I just thought we were really poised as a team.
00:07We had a great next play mentality.
00:08It wasn't a perfect game.
00:09None of these games are going to be perfect.
00:12Got contributions from a lot of people in a lot of different ways
00:15and made enough winning plays despite the turnovers and the offensive rebounds.
00:21LeBron, what pleased you the most about not just getting the win tonight,
00:25but the way your team played?
00:27I mean, I just think of composure.
00:28I mean, you know, obviously we were going against a well-coached, super athletic.
00:33They caused a lot of havoc.
00:36I think our composure, even when they made a run at the end of that second,
00:39to cut the lead to two, we came on that third quarter and was able to withstand that
00:44and, you know, pretty much played a game that we wanted to play.
00:47We had a great game plan, and we tried to execute that as close to 48 as possible.
00:52We need Luka Joe.
00:53We need KD in that series to add a little bit of juice.
00:56But the Lakers did get it done in game number one,
00:57and I don't know.
00:58I was paying attention to stuff.
01:00I didn't know Kevin Durant was going to sit that game out,
01:02saw the final score, looked at the box,
01:03were like, Kevin Durant didn't play.
01:05Lakers won.
01:06Kevin Durant apparently banged his knee in practice there with Reed Shepard on Wednesday
01:13and apparently could not play.
01:15It was about an hour before the tip, Donnie.
01:18We got the news, and we did watch the Rockets go from about a five-point, five-and-a-half
01:24-point
01:24favorite down to about a two, two-and-a-half-point favorite when that was announced.
01:29But I don't know.
01:30Look at the box score.
01:32The fact that the Lakers only attempted 66 shots in the game.
01:37Think about that.
01:38That's the fewest in an NBA game in over three years,
01:42and they gave up 21 offensive rebounds to Houston,
01:46and Houston couldn't score 100 points.
01:49Kevin Durant or not, I still don't know how the Houston Rockets didn't score 100
01:54and weren't able to somehow beat the Lakers team there with a 41-year-old,
01:59the only one on the court, who was capable of making any of those 60% shots.
02:04Unreal.
02:04Unreal.
