00:12has issued a tsunami alert in the region. A tsunami of up to 3 meters, that is 10 feet,
00:20could hit the area according to the Japan Agency. In addition to the tsunami alert in Iwate and
00:26Aomori to the north and southeastern Hokkaido, the agency has also issued a milder tsunami
00:33advisory for the coasts of Miyagi and Fukushima, south of the epicenter of this earthquake.
