00:00We are here in the School Naval of Cadetes, who is Mabel Mendoza and Camilo Platsky, who
00:05is joining us. We are researchers of the group of research in oceanology, GIO, here we live in the
00:11School Naval of Cadetes. We have the opportunity to work on the biological component of the
00:16expeditions that have gone to Galeón San José. In 2022, we analyzed the information
00:22of 20 hours of video, and in 2024, we embarked on the ARC Caribbean, observing in vivo the images
00:29that we provided the RON. With the information of both expeditions, we elaborated a list of
00:36the species that are associated with the naufragia site.
00:39There were about 29 organisms, among which we highlight groups like Unidarios, Crustáceos,
00:45Equinodermos, Peces Óseos, Peces Cartilaginosos, that interact with each other, and not only
00:51those, but interact with the artifacts of the Galeón San José, of different ways.
00:56Some can adhere to the substrate, others can perforate the substrate, or even some can
01:02find zones of protection and predation, looking for possible threats that can
01:07complete and develop their life cycle without any problem.
01:11What comes in the future?
01:12To know a little more of that connection between those organisms and the artifacts of
01:16Galeón San José.
01:17All in search, or in pro, to know and expand the knowledge of the cultural heritage
01:22in this case, the Galeón San José.
01:26the Galeón San José.
01:27other than the Galeón San José.
